¹⁶ The nations will see and be ashamed of all their might. They will lay their hand on their mouth. Their ears will be deaf.

⁵ Look at me, and be astonished. Lay your hand on your mouth.

⁹ Nobles would resfrain from speaking, covering their mouths with their hands. ¹⁰ The voice of the nobles was hushed, and their tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth.

⁴ Behold, I am slight; how can I reply to You? I place my hand upon my mouth.

² Then our mouths were filled with laughter, and our tongues formed joyful shouts. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

¹¹ O LORD, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame. Let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.

¹⁵ He will startle (amaze) (astonish) many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.

¹⁸ And I know their works and their imagination. I am going to gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

²³ And I will magnify myself and sanctify myself and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. And they will know that I am the LORD.

¹⁷ "As for you, son of man, the Sovereign LORD says: 'Speak to every kind of bird and to every beast of the field: "Assemble and come, gather from every side to my sacrifice that I am going to sacrifice for you. It is a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood. ¹⁸ "'You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were rams, lambs, goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan."' ¹⁹ Eat the fat your belly full, and drink blood till ye be drunken of the slaughter, which I have slain unto you. ²⁰ "'You will be glutted at my table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all the men of war,' declares the Sovereign LORD. ²¹ And I will display my glory among the nations: and all the nations shall see my punishment that I execute, and my hand that I lay on them.

⁸ The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is no one to deliver.

²⁰ Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come; ²¹ and the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to supplicate the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. ²² And many peoples and powerful nations will come to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat ⌊the favor of⌋ Yahweh.' ²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts: 'In those days ten men from all the nations of every language will take hold of the hem of a Judean man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you!" '"

⁹ And then on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations coming against Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

¹⁸ The nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead, and to reward Your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear Your name, both small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
