2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.

Psalms 45:10-16

10 Listen, daughter! Consider and pay attention. Forget your people and your father's house, 11 So the king will desire your beauty, honor him, for he is your lord. 12 The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift. The rich among the people will seek your favor. 13 All glorious is the king`s daughter within; her clothing is of wrought gold: 14 In embroidered garments she is presented to the king. Her virgin companions who follow her train will be presented to you. 15 They are led with joy and gladness. They enter the palace of the king. 16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you shall make them princes in all the land.

Matthew 13:24

24 He told them another parable. "The kingdom of heaven," he said, "is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;

Matthew 13:31-33

31 He set forth to them another parable, saying. "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard-seed which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Although it is the smallest of all seeds, yet it grows into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.” 33 He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until all of it was leavened.”

Matthew 13:44-47

44 The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and bought that field. 45 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. 46 When he found one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it. 47 Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and caught fish of every kind.

Matthew 22:2-14

2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3 He sent his servants out to call those who had been invited to the wedding reception, but they refused to come. 4 Again, he sent other servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner. My oxen and fatlings have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’ 5 But they paid no attention and went off, one to his estate, another to his business, 6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them, and killed them. 7 The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited were not worthy. 9 Go therefore to the crossroads and invite to the banquet as many as you can find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered everyone they could find, both evil and good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 "When the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But the man was speechless. 13 Then the king told the servants, ‘Tie him hand and foot and throw him outside into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ 14 For many are invited but few are chosen.'"

Matthew 25:1-14

1 At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps, but took no oil with them. 4 But the wise ones took oil in flasks along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, so that meanwhile they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6 At midnight the cry went out: ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7 Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ 9 ‘No,’ said the wise ones, ‘or there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 But while they were on their way to buy it, the bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut. 11 Afterwards the other bridesmaids came. 'Sir, Sir,' they said, 'open the door to us!' 12 But he replied, 'I tell you with certainty, I don't know you!' 13 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. 14 "For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them.

Luke 14:16-24

16 But Jesus replied, “A certain man prepared a great banquet and invited many guests. 17 When it was time for the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’ 18 And they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, I have bought a piece of land, and I must go and see it: Please excuse me. 19 Another said, 'I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I am on my way to try them. Please excuse me.' 20 Still another said, 'I recently got married, so I can't come.' 21 The servant returned and reported all this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’ 22 The servant said, 'Sir, what you ordered has been done, and there is still room.' 23 Then the master told the servant, 'Go out into the streets and the lanes and make the people come in, so that my house may be full. 24 For I tell you that none of those men who were invited will get a taste of my banquet!’”

John 3:29-30

29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom stands and listens for him, and is overjoyed to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. 30 He has to become greater while I become less.

2 Corinthians 11:2

2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.

Ephesians 5:24-32

24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church. 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.

Revelation 19:7-9

7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him the glory! For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. 8 She was given clothing of fine linen, linen bright and pure.” For the fine linen she wears is the righteous acts of the saints. 9 Then the angel said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of God."
