⁴³ All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.”

³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. ³⁹ Through Him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the Law of Moses.

⁴ When you are gathered in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, along with the power of the Lord Jesus,

⁶ The punishment imposed on him by the majority is sufficient for him. ⁷ So instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. ⁸ I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. ⁹ My purpose in writing you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. ¹⁰ If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him.
