²⁷ And you also must testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

¹ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. ² just as they were handed down to us by the initial eyewitnesses and servants of the word. ³ Therefore, having carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,

⁴⁸ You are witnesses of these things.

³⁵ The one who saw it has testified to this, and his testimony is true. He knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.

²⁴ This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down, and we know that his testimony is true.

⁸ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

²¹ Therefore it is necessary to select one of the men who have accompanied us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, ²² beginning from John’s baptism until the day Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”

¹⁵ You killed the Author of life, but God raised Him from the dead, and we are witnesses of the fact.

²⁰ For we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

³³ With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was on them all.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have touched, concerning the Word of life, ² the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and testify to it, and proclaim to you the eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us

¹⁴ And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

² who testifies to everything he saw. This is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

⁹ I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
