⁴ When Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

³⁹ He went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but asleep.” ⁴⁰ And they laughed at him. But after he put them all outside, he took the child's father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was. ⁴¹ He took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha cumi!" which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise." ⁴² And immediately the girl arose, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were completely astonished.

¹¹ This, the first of the miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee and revealed His glory; and His disciples believed into Him.

²³ that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered: "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. My Father glorifies me. He is the one whom you say is your God.

³ Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him.

²⁴ So a second time they called the man who had been blind, and said to him, "Give God the praise; we know this man is a sinner."

⁴⁰ Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

²⁸ Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again."

³¹ When he was gone, Jesus said: Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. ³² If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify the Son in Himself—and will glorify Him at once.

¹ After Jesus had said this, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you.

⁵ And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.

¹⁰ All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine; and in them I have been glorified.

¹¹ I ask then, did they stumble so as to lose their share? Absolutely not! However, because of their trespass, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.

¹¹ filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

²⁰ I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have complete boldness, so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. ²¹ Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him; and so your faith and hope are in God.

¹¹ If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁴ If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
