¹¹ The sun and moon stood still in their dwelling. At the light of Your arrows they go, at the shining of Your gleaming spear.

¹² Out of the brightness in front of him, those rain clouds passed by with hailstones and lightning. ¹³ Then the Lord thundered from heaven, the Most High uttered his voice: ¹⁴ He sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he multiplied lightnings, and routed them.

⁴ Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

¹⁷ The clouds poured out water. The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around. ¹⁸ The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind, the lightnings lit up the world, the earth trembled and shook.

⁵ Part your heavens, LORD, and come down. Touch the mountains, and they will smoke. ⁶ Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy, shoot your arrows and confuse them.

²¹ For the LORD shall rise up, as at Mount Perazim; He shall be stirred as in the Gibeon Valley; to do His work, His strange work; and to perform His task, His alien task.

⁸ See, I will make the shade which has gone down on the steps of Ahaz with the sun, go back ten steps. So the shade went back the ten steps by which it had gone down.
