1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.
2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now trying to be made complete by the flesh?
4 Have you suffered so much for nothing—if it really was for nothing?
5 Does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you because you do the actions of the law or because you believe what you heard?
6 Thus Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are the sons of Abraham.
8 The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and foretold the gospel to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.”
9 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
10 All who rely on works of the Law are under a curse. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”
11 And it is clear that no one is justified before God by the Law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”
12 The Law, however, is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The one who does these things will live by them.”
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
14 He redeemed us so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
15 Brothers, let me use an example from everyday life. Once a person's will has been ratified, no one can cancel it or add conditions to it.
16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but “and to your seed,” meaning One, who is Christ.
17 What I mean is this: The Law that came four hundred thirty years later does not revoke the covenant previously established by God, so as to cancel the promise.
18 For if the inheritance depends on the Law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God freely granted it to Abraham through a promise.
19 Why then was the Law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the seed to whom the promise referred. It was administered through angels by a mediator.
20 Now a mediator does not represent just one party; but God is one.
21 Is the Law, then, opposed to the promises of God? Not at all! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come from the Law.
22 But the scripture has declared all to be prisoners of sin, so that the promise, given on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
23 Before this faith came, we were held in custody under the Law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
24 So the law was our tutor to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.

10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

Galatians 6:12-14
12 Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. They only do this to avoid persecution for the cross of Christ.
13 For not even they who are circumcised obey the law; but they want you to be circumcised so that they may boast over your flesh.
14 But as for me, may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Hebrews 10:32-39
32 Remember the early days that you were in the light, when you endured a great conflict in the face of suffering.
33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to ridicule and persecution; at other times you were partners with those who were so treated.
34 You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, knowing that you yourselves had a better and permanent possession.
35 So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward.
36 You need to persevere, so that after you have done God’s will, you will receive what He has promised.
37 For in a very little while, “He who is coming will come and will not delay.
38 But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul is not well pleased with him."
39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and keep their souls.
2 Peter 2:20-22
20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled by them, and overcome, they are worse off in the end than at the beginning.

6 And he believed the LORD; and he reckoned it to him [as] righteousness.
Romans 4:3-6
3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
4 Now the wages of the worker are not credited as a gift, but as an obligation.
5 However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness,
6 Just so David speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works,
Romans 4:9-11
9 Is this blessing only on the circumcised, or also on the uncircumcised? We have been saying that Abraham’s faith was credited as righteousness.
10 In what context was it credited? Was it after his circumcision, or before? It was not after, but before.
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So he is the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them.

Romans 4:11-16
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So he is the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them.
12 And he is also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised, but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.
13 For not through law was the promise to Abraham, or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if those who live by the Law are heirs, faith is useless and the promise is worthless,
15 because the Law brings wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.
16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

11 For sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through the commandment put me to death.
12 So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous, and good.
13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Certainly not! But in order that sin might be exposed as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.

9 But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

Hebrews 7:26-27
26 We need such a high priest {— } one who is holy, innocent, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

4 because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll: I have come to do Your will, O God.’”
8 First He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor were You pleased with them” (which are offered according to the Law),
9 Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second.
10 And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
1 Peter 1:18-21
18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot.

25 And you are sons of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers, when He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all the families of the earth will be blessed.’

Acts 5:32

Acts 11:15-16
Romans 4:3-17
3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
4 Now the wages of the worker are not credited as a gift, but as an obligation.
5 However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness,
6 Just so David speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works,
7 Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven and whose sins are covered;
8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.”
17 As it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations." This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were.
Romans 8:9-16
9 You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet the Spirit gives you life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit indwelling in you.
12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation, but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.
13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 And all those who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of sonship, in which we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
Romans 8:26-27
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words.
27 And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 10:9-15
9 that if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.
11 For the Scripture says, "No one who believes in him will be put to shame."
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on Him,
13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 How then can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?
15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
1 Corinthians 12:13
13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink.

22 placed His seal on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a pledge of what is to come.
Galatians 3:5-9
5 Does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you because you do the actions of the law or because you believe what you heard?
6 Thus Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are the sons of Abraham.
8 The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and foretold the gospel to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.”
9 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
Galatians 4:6
6 Because you are sons, God sent the spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

18 For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

1 Timothy 2:4-6
Jude 1:19-20
Romans 3:5
5 But if our unrighteousness highlights the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust to inflict His wrath on us? I am speaking in human terms.
Romans 6:19
19 I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.
1 Corinthians 15:32
32 If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus for merely human reasons, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."

18 And by your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice."
Genesis 26:3-4
3 Stay in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your seed I will give all these lands. And I will cause to rise My oath which I swore to your father Abraham.
4 I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,
Genesis 28:13-14
13 And he saw the Lord by his side, saying, I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: I will give to you and to your seed this land on which you are sleeping.
14 "Your descendants will be like the dust on the earth. You will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. Every family on earth will be blessed through you and through your descendants.

55 toward Abraham and his offspring for ever, as he spoke to our fathers.

68 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited and redeemed his people;
69 He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David,

71 salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,
72 to show mercy to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
73 the oath that He swore to our father Abraham;
74 to be redeemed from the hand of our enemies; and that we should worship before him, without fear,
75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
76 And you, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare His ways,
77 to give His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.
78 because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the Dawn will visit us from on high,
79 to shine on those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

16 Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and their oath serves as a confirmation to end all argument.
17 So when God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath.
18 Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged.

Exodus 20:19-22
19 They said to Moses, "Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but do not let God speak with us, lest we die."

21 The people stayed at a distance, and Moses came near to the thick darkness where God was.
22 the LORD commanded Moses to tell the Israelites: »You have seen how I have spoken to you from heaven.
Exodus 24:1-12
1 The LORD said to Moses, "Come up to the LORD, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship at a distance.
2 And Moses alone will come near to the LORD, and they will not come near, and the people will not go up with him."
3 Then Moses came and put before the people all the words of the Lord and his laws: and all the people, answering with one voice, said, Whatever the Lord has said we will do.
4 Moses wrote down all the LORD’s words. Early the next morning he built an altar at the foot of the mountain. He erected twelve sacred stones for the twelve tribes of Israel.
5 He sent young Israelite men to offer up burnt offerings and sacrifice bulls as peace offerings to the LORD.
6 And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and the other half he sprinkled on the altar.
7 He took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They said, "All that the LORD has spoken we will do and obey."
8 And Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and he said, "Look, the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words."
9 Then went Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and the seventy elders of Israel up,
10 and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, and as clear as the sky.
11 But he did not lay his hand upon the princes of the sons of Israel, and they saw God and ate and drank.
12 The LORD said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the tables of stone with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them."

28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread, nor drank water. And He wrote upon the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
29 Now when Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two stones in his hand, he was not conscious that his face was shining because of his talk with God.
30 Aaron and all the Israelites looked at Moses and saw his face glowing. They were afraid to come near him.
31 And Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the leaders of the community returned to him, and Moses spoke to them.
32 And afterward all the Israelites came near, and he commanded them all that the LORD had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.
33 When Moses finished speaking with them he put a veil over his face,
34 When Moses went into the LORD's presence to speak with him, he took off the veil until he came out. When he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded,
35 they would see that Moses' face was glowing. Moses would put the veil back on until he went in again to speak with the LORD.

9 Only guard yourselves carefully so you won't forget the things that you saw and let them slip from your mind for the rest of your life. Tell them to your children and to your grandchildren.
Deuteronomy 5:5
5 I stood at that time as mediator between the LORD and you to declare his message to you, because you were afraid of the fire and would not go up the mountain. He said:
Deuteronomy 5:22-33
22 "These commands the LORD declared in a loud voice to your entire assembly on the mountain from out of the fire and dark clouds, and nothing more was added. He inscribed them on two tablets of stones and gave them to me.
23 And after hearing the voice which came out of the dark while the mountain was burning with fire, all the heads of your tribes and your chiefs came to me,
24 and ye said, 'Behold, the LORD our God hath showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the fire, and we have seen this day that God may talk with a man and he yet live.
25 Now therefore, why should we die? This great fire will consume us. If we continue to listen to the voice of the LORD our God any longer, we'll die.
26 For what mortal man has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the fire like we did, and lived?
27 "'They spoke to Moses: 'Moses, go and listen to everything that the LORD our God says. Then tell us whatever the LORD our God tells you. We will listen and obey.'
28 "the LORD heard the words you spoke to me. He told me: 'I have heard what the people said to you. Everything they said was good.
29 Oh that they had such a heart with them to fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might go well with them and with their children forever.
30 "'Go and tell them to return to their tents,
31 But you stay here with me. I will give you all the commands, laws, and rules that you must teach them to obey in the land I will give them to possess.
32 Be careful to do what the LORD your God has commanded you. Never turn to the right or to the left.
33 Walk in every way that the LORD your God commanded you, so that life may go well for you, and so that you will prolong your days in the land that you will possess.'"
Deuteronomy 9:13-20
13 And the LORD spoke to me saying:I have seen this people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.
14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount was burning with fire. And the two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.
16 »I saw that you had indeed sinned against the LORD your God. You made yourselves an idol, cast in the shape of a calf. You turned aside quickly from the way the LORD had commanded you.
17 And I took the two tablets and threw them out of my hands and broke them before your eyes.
18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights, -- I ate no bread and drank no water, -- because of all your sin which ye had sinned, in doing what is evil in the eyes of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
19 I feared the anger and wrath of the LORD against you, because he was irate enough to destroy you. But the LORD also listened to me at that time.
20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron, to destroy him, and I also prayed for Aaron at that time.
Deuteronomy 9:25-29
25 So I fell down before the LORD the forty days and forty nights because the LORD had said He would destroy you.
26 I prayed to the LORD and said Sovereign LORD, don't destroy Your people and Your inheritance that You have redeemed through Your greatness, that You have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
27 "'"Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Do not look at the stubbornness of this people or at their wickedness or their sin.
28 Lest the land from where you brought us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he has brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.
29 Yet they are your people and your inheritance, which you brought out by your great power and by your outstretched arm."
Deuteronomy 18:15-19
15 "the LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites. Listen to him!
16 »This is according to all that you asked of the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly. You said: Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God. Do not let me see this great fire anymore, or I will die.
17 "the LORD said to me: 'They have spoken well.
18 I will raise them up a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put My words in his mouth and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
19 But if someone will not listen to those words that the prophet speaks in my name, I will hold him accountable.

Romans 7:7-13
7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed, I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "You shall not covet."
8 But sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from the Law, sin is dead.
Galatians 3:21-25
21 Is the Law, then, opposed to the promises of God? Not at all! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come from the Law.
22 But the scripture has declared all to be prisoners of sin, so that the promise, given on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
23 Before this faith came, we were held in custody under the Law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
24 So the law was our tutor to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
Galatians 4:1-4
1 What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he is the owner of everything.
2 He is subject to guardians and trustees until the date set by his father.

Matthew 5:17-20
17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
18 For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
19 So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

5 to redeem those under the Law, that we might receive our adoption as sons.
Galatians 4:21
21 Tell me, you who want to be under the Law, do you not understand what the Law says?
Galatians 5:18
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Hebrews 12:2
2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Matthew 5:17-18
Acts 13:38-39
Romans 7:7-9
7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed, I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "You shall not covet."
8 But sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from the Law, sin is dead.
9 Once I was alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.
Romans 7:24-25
Romans 10:4
4 For Christ is the end of the law, so that there may be righteousness for every one who believes.
1 Corinthians 4:15
15 Even if you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.
Galatians 3:25
25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
Galatians 4:2-3
Colossians 2:17
17 which are a shadow of the things which were to come, but the substance is of Christ.
Hebrews 9:8-16
8 The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the holy place had not yet been disclosed as long as the outer tabernacle was still standing.
9 It is an illustration for the present time, because the gifts and sacrifices being offered were unable to cleanse the conscience of the worshiper.
10 They consist only in food and drink and special washings—external regulations imposed until the time of reform.
11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, he entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation.
12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves, but he entered the holy place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.
13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that their bodies are clean,
14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God!
15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
16 In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it,
Hebrews 10:1-14
1 The Law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
2 If it could, would not the offerings have ceased? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all and would no longer feel the guilt of their sins.
3 Instead, those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins,
4 because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased.
11 Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, "he sat down at the right hand of God."
13 from that time waiting for his enemies to be made his footstool.
14 Because by one offering he has made complete for ever those who are made holy.
Romans 6:14
14 For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
Romans 7:4
4 Therefore, my brothers, you also died to the Law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
Galatians 4:1-6
1 What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he is the owner of everything.
2 He is subject to guardians and trustees until the date set by his father.
3 So also, when we were children, we were enslaved under the basic principles of the world.
4 But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,
5 to redeem those under the Law, that we might receive our adoption as sons.
6 Because you are sons, God sent the spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Hebrews 7:11-19
11 Now if perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (upon which basis the people received the Law), why was there still a need for another priest to appear—one in the order of Melchizedek and not in the order of Aaron?
12 For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law.
13 He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.
15 And this point is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears,
Hebrews 8:3-13
3 Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. So it was necessary for this One also to have something to offer.
4 If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are those who offer the gifts according to the Law.
5 They serve in a sanctuary that is a copy, a shadow of the heavenly one. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain."
6 Now, however, Jesus has received a far superior ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is superior and is founded on better promises.
7 Now if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for a second one;
8 But when God found fault with the people, He said: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not abide by My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
11 No longer will each one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest.
12 "'I will forgive their wickedness and I will remember their sins no more.'"
13 In speaking of a "new" covenant, he has made the first one obsolete, and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.
Hebrews 10:15-18
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says:
16 “This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord. I will put My Laws in their hearts and inscribe them on their minds.”
17 Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”
18 But where there [is] remission of these, [there is] no longer a sacrifice for sin.
John 1:12-13
John 20:17
17 Jesus said to her, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers, and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
Romans 8:14-17
14 And all those who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of sonship, in which we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
17 Now if we are children, we are heirs heirs of God and co-heirs with the Messiah if, in fact, we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
2 Corinthians 6:18
18 "I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty."
Ephesians 1:5
5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,

1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,
Philippians 2:15
15 so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world
Hebrews 2:10-15
10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering.
11 For he who makes holy and they who are made holy are all of one. For this cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,
12 and say, "I will tell your name to my brothers, In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise";
13 And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again, "Here am I, and the children God has given me."
14 Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil,
15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
1 John 3:1-2
1 Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.
Revelation 21:7
7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
Job 29:14
14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my justice was as a robe and a turban.
Isaiah 61:10
10 I will rejoice greatly in the LORD. I will exult in my God for he has clothed me with garments of salvation. He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Colossians 2:10-12
10 And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
11 In Him you were also circumcised by the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, not with a circumcision done by hands but with the circumcision of the Christ,
12 And having been buried with Him in baptism, you were raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.
Colossians 3:10
10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
1 Peter 3:21
21 And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

John 11:52
52 and not only for the nation, but also for the scattered children of God, to gather them together into one.
John 17:11
11 I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.

Romans 1:16
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.
Romans 2:9-10
Romans 4:11-12
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So he is the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them.
12 And he is also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised, but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.

1 Corinthians 7:14
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean, but as it is they are holy.
1 Corinthians 7:19
19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commandments is what matters.
Galatians 5:6
6 For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. All that matters is faith, expressed through love.
Ephesians 2:13-22
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,
15 by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace
16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which he put to death their enmity.
17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.
18 For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
19 So then, you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household,
20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.
21 in whom the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord;
22 And in Him you too are being built together into a dwelling place for God in His Spirit.
Ephesians 3:5-10
5 which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.
6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.
7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace, given me through the working of His power.
8 Though I am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things;
10 His purpose was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
Ephesians 4:4
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;
Genesis 21:10-12
10 So she said to Abraham, Send away that woman and her son: for the son of that woman is not to have a part in the heritage with my son Isaac.
11 And the matter displeased Abraham very much on account of his son.
12 God said to Abraham: "Do not be upset about the boy and your slave. Listen to what Sarah says, because through Isaac your descendants will carry on your name.
Romans 4:12-14
12 And he is also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised, but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.
Romans 4:16-21
16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
17 As it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations." This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were.
18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.”
19 Without weakening in his faith, he acknowledged the decrepitness of his body (since he was about a hundred years old) and the lifelessness of Sarah’s womb.
20 Yet he did not waver through disbelief in the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,
21 being fully persuaded that God was able to do what He had promised.

1 Corinthians 15:23
23 But each in his own turn: Christ the firstfruits; then at His coming, those who belong to Him.

Galatians 3:7
7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are the sons of Abraham.
Galatians 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 4:7
7 So you are no longer slaves but a son. And as a son God has made you an heir.
Galatians 4:22-31
22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman.
23 His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born because of the promise.
24 These things serve as illustrations, for the women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children into slavery: This is Hagar.
25 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present-day Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children.
26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
27 For it is written: “Rejoice, O barren woman, who bears no children; break forth and cry aloud, you who have never travailed; because more are the children of the desolate woman, than of her who has a husband.”
28 Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise.
29 Yet at that time the child born in the course of nature persecuted the child born by the power of the Spirit; and it is the same now.
30 But what does the Scripture say? “Expel the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”
31 Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.
Galatians 5:24
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Ephesians 3:6
Hebrews 1:14
14 Are not the angels ministering spirits, sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
Hebrews 6:17
17 So when God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath.
Hebrews 11:18
18 even though God had said to him, “Through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.”
James 2:5
5 Listen, my dearly loved brothers; did not God choose those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be wealthy in faith and to inherit the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
