The gate must not be closed until evening. ³ On the same manner shall the people of the land also do their worship before the LORD, without this door upon the Sabbaths and new Moons. ⁴ And the burnt offering that the prince shall bring to the LORD on the sabbath day shall be six lambs and a ram without blemish. ⁵ And the grain offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the grain offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and a hin of oil to each ephah. ⁶ On the day of the new moon it shall be a young bull without defect, and six lambs, and a ram. They shall be without defect. ⁷ And he shall prepare a grain offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs as much as he is able, and a hin of oil to each ephah. ⁸ And when the ruler comes in, he is to go in through the covered way of the doorway, and he is to go out by the same way. ⁹ And when the people of the land come in before the Lord at the festivals, he who cometh in at the north gate to worship, shall go out at the south gate: and he who cometh in at the south gate shall go out at the north gate. He shall not turn back to the gate at which he entered, but shall go out straight forward. ¹⁰ And the prince in the midst of them, shall go in when they go in, and go out when they go out. ¹¹ And at the festivals and at the appointed times, the grain offering will be an ephah with a bull and an ephah with the ram and with the male lambs, as much as he wants to give, and a hin of olive oil for each ephah. ¹² "'When the prince prepares a freewill burnt offering, either a burnt offering or a fellowship offering to the LORD, the east gate must be opened for him. He must sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings as he does on the day of worship. When he leaves, the gate must be shut after him. ¹³ “'“You shall prepare a lamb a year old without defect for a burnt offering to the LORD daily. Morning by morning you shall prepare it. ¹⁴ And you are to give, morning by morning, a meal offering with it, a sixth of an ephah and a third of a hin of oil dropped on the best meal; a meal offering offered to the Lord at all times by an eternal order. ¹⁵ "'Prepare the lamb, the grain offering, and the olive oil every morning as a daily burnt offering.' ¹⁶ ¶ Thus hath the Lord GOD said: If the prince gives a gift of his inheritance unto any of his sons, it shall be theirs; the possession thereof shall be by inheritance. ¹⁷ But if he gives it as a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his until the year of liberty, then it shall return to the prince. His inheritance is only his sons'; it shall be theirs. ¹⁸ "'The prince must not take any of the people's property. He must not force them to give up their property. He must give his own property as an inheritance to his sons so that none of my people will be separated from their property.'" ¹⁹ Then he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy rooms for the priests, which looked toward the north. Behold, there was a place on the back part westward. ²⁰ And he said to me, "This is the place where the priests will boil the guilt offering and the sin offering, and where they shall bake the grain offering in order not to bring them out to the outer courtyard to make the people holy. ²¹ Then he led me to the outer court and conducted me round the four sides of the court. And lo! a court at the four corners of this court. ²² In the four corners of the court there were enclosed courts, forty cubits long and thirty broad: these four in the corners were of one measure. ²³ Around each of the four courtyards were stonewalls, and these walls were equipped with fireplaces. ²⁴ Then said he to me, These are the boiling-houses, where the ministers of the house will boil the sacrifice of the people.

¹⁹ By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread, until your return to the ground. For from it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return."

⁹ Six days you shall labor and do all your work.

²³ And it will be, from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before Me, says the LORD.

¹⁶ And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house, and, behold, at the entrance of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

¹ And he brought me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary that is facing east, and it was shut. ² And the LORD said to me, "This gate will be shut. It shall not be opened, and no one will go through it, for the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered it, and it will be shut.

¹⁷ It shall be the prince’s part to give the burnt offerings, the meal offerings, and the drink offerings, in the feasts, and on the new moons, and on the Sabbaths, in all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel. He shall prepare the sin offering, the meal offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.” ¹⁸ “'The Sovereign LORD says: “In the first month, in the first day of the month, you shall take a young bull without defect; and you shall cleanse the sanctuary. ¹⁹ And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the house, and on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the gateposts of the inner court.

⁶ On the day of the new moon it shall be a young bull without defect, and six lambs, and a ram. They shall be without defect.

¹⁴ But answering, being angry that Jesus healed on the sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the crowd, There are six days in which it is right to work. Therefore, coming in these, be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

⁹ There remains then a Sabbath rest for the people of God. ¹⁰ for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.

²² And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and spread forth his hands toward heaven. ²³ And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keep covenant and mercy with your servants that walk before you with all their heart:

¹⁶ Then King David went and sat before the LORD and said, "Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my house that you have brought me thus far?

¹⁰ and blessed the Lord in the presence of the assembly, saying, Blessed art thou Lord God of Israel, our Father, from everlasting to everlasting. ¹¹ Yours, O Lord, is the strength and the power and the glory, and the authority and the honour: for everything in heaven and on earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are lifted up as head over all. ¹² Wealth and honour come from you, and you are ruler over all, and in your hand is power and strength; it is in your power to make great, and to give strength to all.

¹³ (for Solomon had made a bronze platform, five cubits long, and five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the middle of the court; and he stood on it, and knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven)

¹³ She saw the king was standing by his pillar at the entrance. The captains and the trumpeters were beside the king. All the people of the land rejoiced and blew trumpets. The singers with their musical instruments lead the praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and said: "This is treason! Treason!"

²⁹ And when the offering was finished, the king and all who were found with him knelt down and bowed themselves.

³¹ And the king stood at his standing and made a covenant before the LORD, to follow the LORD and to keep his commandments, his witnesses and his statutes with all his heart and with all his soul and to fulfill the words of the covenant written in the said book.

³ "Only the prince may sit there and eat food in the presence of the LORD. He will enter through the entrance hall of the gateway and leave the same way."

¹⁹ And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the house, and on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the gateposts of the inner court.

⁸ And when the ruler comes in, he is to go in through the covered way of the doorway, and he is to go out by the same way.

¹² "'When the prince prepares a freewill burnt offering, either a burnt offering or a fellowship offering to the LORD, the east gate must be opened for him. He must sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings as he does on the day of worship. When he leaves, the gate must be shut after him.

³⁹ Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”

¹ "Truly, truly, I say to you, the man who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs in by some other way, he is a thief and a robber. ² he who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. ³ The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.

²⁸ We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.

⁷ During the days of Jesus’ earthly life, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence. ⁸ Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered,

¹⁰ And, as it was the Hour of Incense, the people were all praying outside.

⁹ I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture.

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body, ²¹ and since we have a great priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

⁹ “'On the Sabbath day, you shall offer two male lambs a year old without defect, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, and its drink offering: ¹⁰ This is the burned offering for every Sabbath day, in addition to the regular burned offering, and its drink offering.

¹⁷ It shall be the prince’s part to give the burnt offerings, the meal offerings, and the drink offerings, in the feasts, and on the new moons, and on the Sabbaths, in all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel. He shall prepare the sin offering, the meal offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.”

²¹ If he is poor, and can't afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil for a grain offering, and a log of oil;

²¹ This is the law of the Nazarite who has vowed his offering to the LORD for his separation, besides that which he is able to get. According to the vow which he vowed, so he must do according to the law of his separation.

¹² "'With each bull there will be a grain offering of twenty-four cups of flour mixed with olive oil, with each ram a grain offering of sixteen cups of flour mixed with olive oil.

¹⁷ but each one must appear with his own gift, proportional to the blessing that the LORD your God has given you."

²⁴ He shall prepare a meal offering, an ephah for a bull, and an ephah for a ram, and a hin of oil to an ephah.

⁷ And he shall prepare a grain offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs as much as he is able, and a hin of oil to each ephah.

¹⁴ "Three times a year you shall celebrate a festival for me. ¹⁵ You will keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you will eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you at the appointed time, the month of Abib, because in it you came out from Egypt, and no one will appear before me empty-handed. ¹⁶ Also the Feast of Harvest, the first fruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. Also the Feast of Ingathering, at the end of the year, at your gathering your work from the field. ¹⁷ Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Sovereign LORD.

²³ Three times in the year your men shall appear before the Sovereign LORD, the God of Israel.

¹⁶ Three times in the year all of your males shall appear before the LORD your God at the place that he will choose, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.

⁷ They go from strength to strength, until each appears before God in Zion.

¹² Each one went straight forward: where the spirit would go, they went; they didn't turn when they went.

¹⁷ When they moved, they moved in any of the four directions without turning as they moved.

⁴ Remember the law of My servant Moses which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments.

¹³ Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have laid hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, ¹⁴ I press on toward the goal for the prize, to which God has called me upward in Christ Jesus.

³⁸ But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul is not well pleased with him."

²⁰ For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled by them, and overcome, they are worse off in the end than at the beginning. ²¹ It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than to know it and turn their backs on the holy commandment that was committed to them.

¹⁴ And David, clothed in a linen ephod, was dancing before the Lord with all his strength. ¹⁵ So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. ¹⁶ And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. ¹⁷ They brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. ¹⁸ David finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and the fellowship offerings. Then he blessed the people in the name of the LORD Almighty. ¹⁹ He also distributed to all the people, to the whole crowd of Israelites, men and women, one loaf of bread, one date cake, and one raisin cake. Then all the people went home.

²⁰ And David said to all the assembly, Now praise the LORD your God. And all the assembly praised the LORD, the God of their fathers and bowed down their heads and bowed-down to the LORD and the king.

²² And they ate and drank before the LORD on that day with great joy, and made Solomon the son of David king a second time, and anointed him before the LORD as ruler, and Zadok as priest.

² But I have built you a house and home, a place for you to dwell in forever.” ³ Then the king turned around and blessed the entire assembly from Israel while they were standing. ⁴ And he said, Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who has with His hands fulfilled that which He spoke with His mouth to my father David, saying,

⁴ Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD. ⁵ And King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand cattle and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

²⁷ Then returned all the men of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat at their head, to return to Jerusalem with joy; for the Lord had caused them to rejoice over their enemies. ²⁸ They proceeded directly to the LORD's temple, carrying lyres, harps, and trumpets.

²⁸ All the assembly worshiped, the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded. All this continued until the burnt offering was finished. ²⁹ And when the offering was finished, the king and all who were found with him knelt down and bowed themselves.

³⁰ And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the people of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people from the great to the small. And he read in their ears all the words of the Book of the Covenant that was found in the house of the LORD. ³¹ And the king stood at his standing and made a covenant before the LORD, to follow the LORD and to keep his commandments, his witnesses and his statutes with all his heart and with all his soul and to fulfill the words of the covenant written in the said book.

⁸ So they read the book from the law of God, making it clear and giving the meaning so that they could understand the reading. ⁹ And Nehemiah, the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people, said to all the people, This day is holy to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep. For all the people wept when they heard the words of the Law.

⁴ These I remember and I pour out my soul within me: that I would go with the multitude; I led them in procession to the house of God, with a voice of rejoicing and thanksgiving, a crowd celebrating a festival.

¹ A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced in those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD." ² Our feet are standing In your gateways, O Jerusalem, ³ Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together: ⁴ Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.

²⁰ For where two or three gather together in My name, there am I with them.”

²⁰ and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

⁶ but Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold fast to our confidence and the hope of which we boast.

¹⁴ Therefore, since we have such a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess. ¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin. ¹⁶ Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

¹ To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him who holds the seven stars in His right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.

¹ the LORD spoke to Moses: ² »Tell the Israelites: ‘These are the appointed festivals with the LORD. You must announce these as holy assemblies. ³ Six days you shall do work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath rest, a holy convocation to the lord. All work you shall not do, it is a Sabbath to the lord in all your house. ⁴ " 'These are the LORD's appointed times, holy assemblies, which you shall proclaim at their appointed time. ⁵ "'The Passover, celebrated to honor the LORD, begins at sunset on the fourteenth day of the first month. ⁶ And on the fifteenth day of this month is the LORD's Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. ⁷ In the first day you shall have a holy assembly. You shall do no regular work, ⁸ but you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD seven days. In the seventh day is a holy assembly: you shall do no regular work'. ⁹ the LORD spoke to Moses: ¹⁰ "Speak to the Israelites, and say to them, 'When you come to the land that I am about to give to you and you reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruit of your harvest to the priest. ¹¹ And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD for your acceptance; the priest shall wave it on the day after the Sabbath. ¹² and the day you wave the omer work an integrious he lamb - a yearling son for a holocaust to Yah Veh: ¹³ together with its approach present of two tenths of an ephah of flour mingled with oil, a fire offering to the LORD, a fragrant odor, and its libation of wine, a fourth of a hin. ¹⁴ "'Do not eat bread, roasted grain, or fresh grain until this same day. Then bring the offering to your God. It is a long lasting law for generations to come wherever you live. ¹⁵ "'You shall count from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be completed: ¹⁶ You will number fifty days, even to the morrow after the seventh Sabbath and you will offer a new meal offering to the LORD. ¹⁷ Out of your dwellings shall ye bring two wave-loaves, of two tenths of fine flour; with leaven shall they be baken; [as] first-fruits to the LORD. ¹⁸ You shall present with the bread seven lambs without blemish a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to the LORD, with their grain offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma to the LORD. ¹⁹ You shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings. ²⁰ The priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. ²¹ "'Do none of your daily work. Gather for worship. Your descendants are to observe this regulation from generation to generation, no matter where they live. ²² And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not completely reap the corner of your field, nor shall you gather the gleaning of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor, and for the alien: I am the LORD your God. ²³ And the Lord said to Moses, ²⁴ "Observe a special day of rest on the first day of the seventh month. Gather together for worship when the trumpets sound. ²⁵ Do no field-work and give to the Lord an offering made by fire. ²⁶ the LORD spoke to Moses: ²⁷ But on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement, a holy convocation shall it be unto you, and ye shall fast; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. ²⁸ And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. ²⁹ Every soul who shall not humble himself on that day, shall be cut off from among his people. ³⁰ "I will destroy those who do any work on that day. ³¹ "Do not do any work! It is a long lasting law for generations to come wherever you live. ³² It is a sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls beginning on the ninth day of the month. From evening until evening you shall celebrate your sabbaths. ³³ the LORD spoke to Moses: ³⁴ Say to the children of Israel, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month let the feast of tents be kept to the Lord for seven days. ³⁵ On the first day shall be a holy assembly: you shall do no regular work. ³⁶ For seven days you must present an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day it shall be a holy assembly for you, and you shall present an offering made by fire to the LORD; it is a celebration; you must not do any regular work. ³⁷ These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy assemblies, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering, and a grain offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, each on its own day; ³⁸ "'This is in addition to the LORD's days of worship, your gifts, all your vows, and your freewill offerings to the LORD. ³⁹ Surely, on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the yield of the land, shall ye celebrate the festival of the LORD seven days,—on the first day, a sacred rest, and, on the eighth day, a sacred rest. ⁴⁰ "'Take the best fruits, palm branches, the branches of leafy trees and poplars on the first day, and celebrate in the presence of the LORD your God for seven days. ⁴¹ "‘It is the LORD’s festival. Celebrate it for seven days each year. This is a long lasting law for generations to come. Celebrate this festival in the seventh month. ⁴² "'Live in booths for seven days. Everyone born in Israel must live in booths. ⁴³ so that your generations shall know that I made the Israelites live in booths when I brought them from the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.'" ⁴⁴ So Moses declared to the children of Israel the appointed feasts of the LORD.

¹ the LORD said to Moses: ² Speak to the Israelites and tell them: "Once you are settled in the land I am giving you, ³ you will make an offering by fire for Yahweh from the cattle or from the flock, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a vow, or as a freewill offering or at your feasts, to make a fragrance of appeasement for Yahweh. ⁴ then he who offers his offering shall offer to the LORD a meal offering of one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one fourth of a hin of oil. ⁵ "With each sheep or goat for the burnt offering or any other sacrifice, also give an offering of one quart of wine. ⁶ “'For a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil; ⁷ and an offering of one and one quarter quarts of wine. Offer them as a soothing aroma to the LORD. ⁸ When you prepare a bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a vow or a fellowship offering for the LORD, ⁹ then he shall offer with the bull a meal offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil; ¹⁰ And you shall bring for a drink offering half a hin of wine, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to the LORD. ¹¹ »Do this for each bull, each ram, and each sheep or goat. ¹² "Do it for each animal, however many you sacrifice. ¹³ "'All who are native-born shall do these things in this way, in offering an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ¹⁴ And if a stranger stays with you, or whoever is among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire of a sweet savor to the LORD; as you do, so he shall do. ¹⁵ For the assembly, there will be one decree for you and for the alien who dwells among you; it is an eternal decree for all your generations. You as well as the alien will be before the LORD. ¹⁶ "The same laws and regulations apply to you and to them." ¹⁷ the LORD gave Moses ¹⁸ "Speak to the Israelites and say to them, 'When you come into the land to which I am about to bring you, ¹⁹ whenever you eat from the food of the land, you will lift up a contribution to the LORD. ²⁰ exalt a cake of the first of your dough for an exaltment: as the exaltment of the threshingfloor, thus you exalt. ²¹ From generation to generation you are to give to the Lord a lifted offering from the first of your rough meal. ²² "Suppose someone unintentionally fails to keep some of these regulations the LORD gave Moses. ²³ even all that LORD has commanded you by Moses, from the day that LORD gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations, ²⁴ and if it was done unintentionally without the knowledge of the community, then the entire community must prepare one young bull as a burnt offering, as a fragrance of appeasement for the LORD, and its grain offering and its libation, according to the stipulation, and one male goat as a sin offering. ²⁵ And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, for it was an error, and they have brought their oblation, an offering made by fire to LORD, and their sin-offering bef ²⁶ "The whole congregation of Israel and the foreigners living among them will be forgiven, because everyone was involved in the mistake. ²⁷ »If any of you sin unintentionally, you should offer a one-year-old female goat as a sin offering. ²⁸ And the priest will make atonement for the person who ⌊sinned unintentionally⌋ ⌊before Yahweh⌋, to make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven. ²⁹ The same law shall be for all that sin by ignorance, whether they be natives or strangers. ³⁰ But the one who acts presumptuously from among the native or alien blasphemes against the LORD, and that person must be cut off from the midst of the people. ³¹ Because he has despised the LORD's word, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall be utterly cut off. His iniquity shall be on him.'” ³² One time, while the Israelites were still in the wilderness, a man was found gathering firewood on the Sabbath. ³³ And they that found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to the whole assembly. ³⁴ And they put him in custody, because it was not declared what should be done to him. ³⁵ And the Lord said to Moses: Let that man die, let all the multitude stone him without the camp. ³⁶ So the whole congregation took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses. ³⁷ the LORD said to Moses: ³⁸ Speak to the Israelites and tell them: »For generations to come they must wear tassels on the corners of their clothes. Each tassel should have violet threads. ³⁹ You will have a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commands of the LORD and do them, and not follow after the unfaithfulness of your own heart and eyes, ⁴⁰ »You will remember to obey all my commandments. You will be holy to your God. ⁴¹ "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God!"

¹ The Lord also said to Moses: ² »Instruct the Israelites to present to God at the appointed time the required food offerings that are pleasing to him. ³ Say to them, This is the offering made by fire which you are to give to the Lord; he-lambs of the first year without any mark, two every day as a regular burned offering. ⁴ Let one be offered in the morning, and the other at evening; ⁵ each with a grain offering of two pounds of flour, mixed with two pints of the best olive oil. ⁶ It is the regular ascent offering instituted at Mount Sinai for a fragrant odor, a fire offering, to the LORD. ⁷ and its drink offering, a fourth of a hin for the one lamb; pour a drink offering of strong drink to the LORD in the sanctuary. ⁸ "‘Offer the second lamb in the evening in the same way as the morning offering, together with its wine offering. It also is a food offering, an odor pleasing to the LORD. ⁹ “'On the Sabbath day, you shall offer two male lambs a year old without defect, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, and its drink offering: ¹⁰ This is the burned offering for every Sabbath day, in addition to the regular burned offering, and its drink offering. ¹¹ “‘In the beginnings of your months, you shall offer a burnt offering to Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect, ¹² "'With each bull there will be a grain offering of twenty-four cups of flour mixed with olive oil, with each ram a grain offering of sixteen cups of flour mixed with olive oil. ¹³ "'With each one-year-old lamb a grain offering of eight cups of flour mixed with olive oil. This is a burnt offering, a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD. ¹⁴ And their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine to a bull, and the third of a hin to a ram, and a fourth a hin to a lamb. This is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year. ¹⁵ "'In addition to the daily burnt offering with its wine offering, one male goat must be offered to the LORD as an offering for sin. ¹⁶ And the fourteenth day of the first month shall be Passover unto the LORD. ¹⁷ On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a feast; for seven days let your food be unleavened cakes. ¹⁸ In the first day shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work, ¹⁹ but you shall offer an offering made by fire, a burnt offering to Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old. They shall be without defect, ²⁰ And their gift fine flour mingled with oil: three tenths for a bullock, and two tenths for the ram, ye shall do. ²¹ and eight cups for each of the seven lambs. ²² and one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you. ²³ "‘Offer these in addition to the morning burnt offering. ²⁴ In this way, every day for seven days, give the food of the offering made by fire, a sweet smell to the Lord: it is to be offered in addition to the regular burned offering, and its drink offering. ²⁵ "'On the seventh day you must have a holy assembly. You must not do any regular work. ²⁶ " 'And on the day of firstfruits, when you are presenting a new offering for the LORD during your Festival of Weeks, you will have a holy convocation; you will not do any regular work. ²⁷ "‘Offer a burnt offering as an odor pleasing to the LORD: two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old male lambs, all without any defects. ²⁸ And their grain offerings of flour mixed with oil, three-tenths of an ephah unto one bullock, two-tenths of an ephah unto one ram, ²⁹ a tenth deal with each of the seven lambs;

¹ "Observe the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover to the LORD your God. It was in the month of Abib that the LORD your God brought you out of Egypt by night. ² "Sacrifice the Passover to the LORD your God from the flock and the herd, in the place where the LORD chooses to establish his name. ³ "Do not eat leavened bread with it. Eat unleavened bread for seven days. It is the bread of affliction. You should remember all the days of your life the day when you came out of the land of Egypt in haste. ⁴ Let no yeast be seen with you in all your territory seven days. And let none of the flesh that you shall sacrifice in the evening on the first day lodge until morning. ⁵ You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you; ⁶ But at the place where your God will choose to establish his name, you shall sacrifice the Passover in the evening at dusk, at the time of day you left Egypt. ⁷ "Cook and eat it in the place the LORD your God chooses. In the morning you are to return to your tents. ⁸ Six days you will eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day will be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God. You will do no work. ⁹ "Count off seven weeks from when the sickle is first put to standing grain. ¹⁰ "Then celebrate the Festival of Weeks to the LORD your God. Bring a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings the LORD your God has given you. ¹¹ And thou shall rejoice before LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite who is within thy gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are in th ¹² "Remember that you were slaves in Egypt. Carefully obey these laws. ¹³ "Celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days after you harvest from your threshing floor and your wine press. ¹⁴ You shall rejoice in your feast, you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, the Levite, the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates. ¹⁵ For seven days you shall celebrate before the LORD your God at the place where the LORD will choose; for the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in everything you do, and your joy will be complete. ¹⁶ Three times in the year all of your males shall appear before the LORD your God at the place that he will choose, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed. ¹⁷ but each one must appear with his own gift, proportional to the blessing that the LORD your God has given you." ¹⁸ "Appoint judges and officers for your tribes in every city the LORD your God gives you. They are to judge the people fairly. ¹⁹ You shall not pervert justice. You shall not show partiality. You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous. ²⁰ You shall follow perfect justice, that you may live and possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you. ²¹ Thou shalt plant no grove, nor any tree near the altar of the Lord thy God: ²² »Never set up a sacred stone. These are things the LORD your God hates.

³ “'If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without defect. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD.

¹⁶ "'If the sacrifice of his offering is a votive or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice as well as on the next day.

³⁸ "'This is in addition to the LORD's days of worship, your gifts, all your vows, and your freewill offerings to the LORD.

³⁹ These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your feasts: beside your vows and freewill offerings, in your burnt offerings, meat offerings, drink offerings and peace offerings."'

⁴ The king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place. Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.

²¹ And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the next day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:

⁶ And King Solomon and the whole community of Israel that was assembled before him were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle that could not be counted nor numbered for abundance.

⁵ And King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand cattle and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. ⁶ The priests were standing at their posts. So were the Levites who had the LORD's musical instruments that King David made for praising the LORD. They were saying: "his mercy endures forever." This he used to offer praise. The priests were opposite the Levites blowing trumpets while all Israel was standing there. ⁷ Moreover Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the grain offerings, and the fat.

³¹ Then Hezekiah answered and said, "Now you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD. Come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the house of the LORD!" And the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all who were willing in heart brought burnt offerings.

⁴ And whoever remains in any place where he sojournes, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

⁵ After this, they presented the daily sacrifice of burnt offerings, the offerings for the New Moon Festival, and for all of the appointed times consecrated for the LORD and for all who gave a freewill offering to the LORD.

¹⁷ They offered at the dedication of this house of God one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

¹ Thus sayeth the LORD God: the door of the innermore court toward the East shall be shut the six working days: but in the Sabbath and in the day of the new Moon, it shall be opened. ² "'The prince must enter from the outside through the entrance hall of the gateway. He must stand by the doorposts of the gateway. Then the priests must prepare the prince's burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. He must worship at the entrance of the gateway and then leave. The gate must not be closed until evening.

¹ Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

² and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

⁵ Your lamb is to be a year old male without blemish. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.

³⁸ "This is what you shall offer on the altar continually: two one year old lambs each day. ³⁹ "You shall offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight, ⁴⁰ and with the one lamb a tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil, and the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering. ⁴¹ "You will offer the other lamb at twilight. Offer it with the same grain offering and the same drink offering as in the morning, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD. ⁴² It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak there to you.

⁶ "'When the days of her purification are completed, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the door of the Tent of Meeting, a year old lamb for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering:

² to proclaim your gracious love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,

⁴ The Sovereign LORD has given Me the tongue of the learned, to know to help the weary with a word. He wakens morning by morning, He wakens the ear to hear as the learned.

¹¹ It magnified itself, even to the prince of the host. It took the continual burnt offering from him and the place of his sanctuary was thrown down. ¹² The host was given over to it together with the daily sacrifice because of transgression. And it cast down truth to the ground, and kept prospering. ¹³ Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, "How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression that makes desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled?"

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot. ²⁰ He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.

⁸ And all who dwell on the earth wilt worship him, every one whose name hath not been written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.

⁵ each with a grain offering of two pounds of flour, mixed with two pints of the best olive oil.

⁴² It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak there to you.

⁶ It is the regular ascent offering instituted at Mount Sinai for a fragrant odor, a fire offering, to the LORD.

²⁷ Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer daily sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people; He sacrificed for sin once for all when He offered up Himself.

²⁶ Otherwise, He would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

¹ The Law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. ² If it could, would not the offerings have ceased? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all and would no longer feel the guilt of their sins. ³ Instead, those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, ⁴ because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. ⁵ Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; ⁶ with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased. ⁷ Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll: I have come to do Your will, O God.’” ⁸ First He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor were You pleased with them” (which are offered according to the Law), ⁹ Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second. ¹⁰ And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

⁵ Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac. ⁶ While Abraham was still alive, he gave gifts to the sons of Hagar and Keturah. He also sent their sons to live in the east far from his son Isaac.

³ Their father gave them great gifts of silver, of gold, and of precious things, with fortified cities in Judah; but he gave the kingdom to Jehoram, because he was the firstborn.

¹⁸ The days of the upright are numbered by the Lord, and their heritage will be for ever.

³⁴ Then the King will say to those at His right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.

⁴² but only one thing is needed. And Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."

³⁵ A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son belongs to it forever. ³⁶ So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

¹⁵ For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of sonship, in which we cry, Abba, Father. ¹⁶ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. ¹⁷ Now if we are children, we are heirs heirs of God and co-heirs with the Messiah if, in fact, we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

²⁹ For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. ³⁰ And those He predestined He also called, those He called He also justified, those He justified He also glorified. ³¹ What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? ³² He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things?

⁷ So you are no longer slaves but a son. And as a son God has made you an heir.

¹⁰ You shall make the fiftieth year holy, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you; and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.

¹⁴ "For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. ¹⁵ To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. ¹⁶ The servant who had received five talents went and put them to work, and gained five more. ¹⁷ So also, he who had the two talents gained two more. ¹⁸ But the servant who had received one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground, and hid his master’s money. ¹⁹ After a long time the master of those servants returned, and settled accounts with them. ²⁰ The servant who had received five talents came and presented five more. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ ²¹ His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’ ²² Then the servant who had received two talents also came and said, ‘Master, you entrusted me with two talents. See, I have gained two more.’ ²³ His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’ ²⁴ Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed: ²⁵ So in my fear, I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what belongs to you.’ ²⁶ But his master answered him, 'You wicked and lazy servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed? ²⁷ Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received it back with interest. ²⁸ "'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. ²⁹ For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

²⁵ ‘Master,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’ ²⁶ 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given. But from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

³⁰ But what does the Scripture say? “Expel the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” ³¹ Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

¹⁹ You shall speak to him, saying, 'the LORD says, “Have you killed and also taken possession?”' You shall speak to him, saying, 'the LORD says, “In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth, dogs will lick your blood, even yours.”'”

¹⁸ You have ascended on high, you have led captivity captive: you have received gifts for men; yes, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

² He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. ³ The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness. ⁴ May he defend the afflicted of the people and deliver the children of the poor, but crush the oppressor.

⁷² David shepherded them with a devoted heart, and led them with skillful hands.

³ His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears; ⁴ but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

¹ Behold, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule in justice. ² And a man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the storm; as brooks of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.

⁵ "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch. He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. ⁶ In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely. This is his name by which he will be called: the LORD our righteousness.

²⁷ Her rulers in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood and to destroy souls, to get unjust gain.

³ You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you kill the fat ones, but you do not feed the flock. ⁴ "'"You have not strengthened those that were weak, healed those who were sick, or bandaged those who were injured. You have not brought back those who strayed away or looked for those who were lost. You have ruled them harshly and violently. ⁵ And they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, and were scattered. ⁶ "'"My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. They were scattered throughout the entire earth. No one searched or looked for them.

²¹ Because you thrust with side and with shoulder, and push all the diseased with your horns, until you have scattered them abroad;

⁸ And this shall be his possession in Israel. And the rulers of Israel shall no more oppress my people and the house of Israel shall possess the land according to their tribes.

¹ The word of the LORD that came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. This is the vision he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem: ² Hear, you peoples, all of you. Listen, O earth and all who are in it and let the Sovereign LORD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

¹ Woe to those who devise iniquity and work evil on their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. ² They covet fields and seize them, and houses, and they take them away. They oppress a man and his house; a man and his inheritance.

¹ I said, "Please listen, you heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: Isn't it for you to know justice? ² you who despise good and love evil, who tear off the skin of my people, along with the flesh from their bones. ³ Who eat the flesh of my people? They strip their skin and they break their bones; and spread them as for the caldron and as flesh within the caldron.

²⁸ I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one shall snatch them out of my hand.

⁸ This is why it says: “When He ascended on high, He led captives away, and gave gifts to men.”

⁴⁴ And he took me into the inner square, and there were two rooms in the inner square, one at the side of the north doorway, facing south; and one at the side of the south doorway, facing north. ⁴⁵ And he said to me, This room, facing south, is for the priests who have the care of the house. ⁴⁶ and that apartment facing the north is for the priests who have the charge of the altar, namely the sons of Sadduk, the only Levites who come near to the Lord to minister to him.

⁹ And under these rooms was the entrance on the east side as one goes into them from the outer court.

⁴ Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face. ⁵ And the LORD said to me, Son of man, note carefully: see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I say to you concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all its laws. And set your heart to the entrance of the house, with all the exits of the sanctuary.

⁴ "'If your grain offering has been baked in an oven, it must be rings of unleavened bread made of flour mixed with olive oil or wafers of unleavened bread brushed with oil. ⁵ "'If your grain offering is prepared in a frying pan, it, too, will be unleavened bread made of flour mixed with oil. ⁶ break it into pieces and pour out oil on it; it is a grain offering. ⁷ "'When your grain offering is prepared in a skillet, it will be made of flour with oil.

¹ "'These are the instructions for the guilt offering. It is very holy. ² »‘It should be slaughtered in the same place where the burnt offering is slaughtered. A priest will throw the blood against all sides of the altar. ³ And he must present all of its fat: the fat tail and the fat that covers the inner parts, ⁴ and the two kidneys with the suet on them. That on the loins, and the lobe which is on the liver, shall be stript off with the kidneys. ⁵ and the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a guilt offering ⁶ Every male among the priests will eat of it. It will be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy. ⁷ The instruction is the same for the guilt offering as for the sin offering; it belongs to the priest, who makes atonement with it. ⁸ "'The skin of the burnt offering belongs to the priest who sacrifices it. ⁹ "'Every grain offering, whether baked in an oven or prepared in a skillet or a frying pan, belongs to the priest who offers it. ¹⁰ And every grain offering, whether mixed with oil or dry, shall be for all of Aaron's sons equally. ¹¹ "'These are the instructions for the fellowship offering that you must bring to the LORD. ¹² If he offer to give thanks, he shall bring unto his thank offering: sweet cakes mingled with oil and sweet wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil of fine flour fried, ¹³ He shall offer his offering with the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving with cakes of leavened bread. ¹⁴ "'He will present one of every offering as a contribution to the LORD. It will belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings. ¹⁵ The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten on the day of his offering. He shall not leave any of it until the morning. ¹⁶ "'If the sacrifice of his offering is a votive or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice as well as on the next day. ¹⁷ And what is left of the flesh of the sacrifice till the third day shall be burned with fire. ¹⁸ If any of the meat of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted, and it shall not be credited to him who offers it. It will be an abomination, and the soul who eats any of it will bear his iniquity. ¹⁹ And the meat that touches anything unclean must not be eaten; it must be burned with fire, and as for the clean meat, anyone who is clean may eat the meat. ²⁰ But he who is unclean when he takes as food the flesh of the peace-offerings, which are the Lord's, will be cut off from his people. ²¹ And when a person touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness or an unclean animal or any unclean detestable thing, and he eats from the meat of the fellowship offerings' sacrifice, which is for the LORD, then that person shall be cut off from his people.'" ²² And the Lord said to Moses, ²³ »Tell the Israelites: ‘Never eat any fat from bulls, sheep, or goats. ²⁴ "'The fat from an animal that dies naturally or is killed by wild animals you may use for any other purpose. However, you must not eat it. ²⁵ "‘Those who eat the fat from an animal they sacrificed by fire to the LORD must be excluded from the people. ²⁶ And in any of your dwellings, you must not eat any blood belonging to birds or domestic animals. ²⁷ Any person who eats any blood, that person shall be cut off from his people.'" ²⁸ the LORD spoke to Moses: ²⁹ "Tell the Israelites: 'Anyone who offers the LORD a fellowship offering must bring a part of that sacrifice as a gift to the LORD. ³⁰ With his own hands he shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire. He shall bring the fat with the breast, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD. ³¹ The priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons'. ³² "'You will also give the priest the right thigh as a contribution. ³³ "'When any of Aaron's sons offer the blood and fat of the fellowship offering, the right thigh will belong to him as his share. ³⁴ for I have taken from the sons of Israel of their sacrifices of peace the breast that is waved and the shoulder that is set apart and have given them unto Aaron, the priest, and unto his sons by a perpetual statute among the sons of Israel. ³⁵ This is [the portion] of the anointing of Aaron and of the anointing of his sons, from the LORD`s offerings by fire, in the day [when] he presented them to serve the LORD as priests, ³⁶ And the things that the Lord commanded to be given them by the children of Israel, by a perpetual observance in their generations. ³⁷ These are the instructions for the burnt offering, the grain offering, the offering for sin, the guilt offering, the ordination offering, and the fellowship offering. ³⁸ which the LORD commanded Moses on Mount Sinai on the day of his commanding the Israelites to present their offerings to the LORD in the desert of Sinai.

¹³ And the custom of the priests with the people was this: When any man brought a sacrifice, as the meat was boiling, the servant of the priest would take a three-pronged meat fork in his hand ¹⁴ and he stabbed it into the pan, or kettle, or cauldron, or pot. The priest took all that the fork brought up for himself. They did this to all the Israelites who came there to Shiloh. ¹⁵ But even before they burned the fat, the servant of the priest would come and say to the person offering the sacrifice, "Give me meat to roast for the priest. He won't accept boiled meat from you, but only raw."

¹³ They roasted the Passover in fire, as required by the ordinances, and boiled the holy things in pots, kettles, and pans, and delivered them quickly to all the people.

¹⁹ When they go out to the outer courtyard to the people, they must take off their garment in which they were serving, and they must place them in the holy chambers, and they must put on other garments, so that they will not make the people holy with their garments.

²⁹ "'They will eat grain offerings, offerings for sin, and guilt offerings. Everything in Israel that is devoted to the LORD will belong to them.

²⁰ And he said to me, "This is the place where the priests will boil the guilt offering and the sin offering, and where they shall bake the grain offering in order not to bring them out to the outer courtyard to make the people holy.

⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time?

¹⁵ When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs." ¹⁶ A second time he said, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me? He answered, Yes, Lord, you know that I love you. Jesus replied, Tend my sheep. ¹⁷ He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, do you love me? Peter was grieved because he asked him a third time: Do you love me? And he said to him: Lord, you know all things. You know that I love you. Jesus said to him: Feed my sheep.

² Be shepherds of God's flock that is among you, watching over it, not because you must but because you want to, and not greedily but eagerly, as God desires.
