¹ In the twenty fifth year of our exile, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was struck, on that same day the hand of the LORD was on me, and He brought me there. ² and in a vision of God brought me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on which there was a building before me resembling a city. ³ And He brought me there, and behold, a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, and a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed. And he stood in the gate. ⁴ And the man said to me, Son of man, look with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I shall show you. For in order to show you, you are brought here. Declare to the house of Israel all that you see. ⁵ ¶ And behold a wall on the outside of the house, and the measuring reed which that man had in his hand, was six cubits long, of a cubit and a hand breadth; so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed. ⁶ The man went to the gateway that faced east. He went up its steps and measured the entrance to the gateway. It was ten and one half feet wide. ⁷ And every cell was one rod long, and one rod broad; and between the cells were five cubits: and the threshold of the gate near by the porch of the gate within was one rod. ⁸ He also measured the entrance hall of the gateway. ⁹ Eight cubits; and its uprights, two cubits; the covered way of the doorway was inside. ¹⁰ And the gate eastward had three chambers on each side, they three were of one measure; and the portals were also of one measure on each side. ¹¹ And he measured the width of the entrance of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits. ¹² The edge before the chambers was one cubit broad upon both the sides, and the cambers six cubits wide of either side. ¹³ He measured the gateway from the top of one guardroom to the top of the opposite guardroom. It was forty-four feet wide from one door to the opposite door. ¹⁴ And the open space of the columned porch of the gate—sixty cubits, and to the vestibules of the gate round about. ¹⁵ And upon the face of the gate of the entrance to the face of the porch of the gate, fifty cubits. ¹⁶ The guardrooms and recessed walls inside the gateway had small windows all around. The entrance hall also had windows all around on the inside. Pictures of palm trees were carved on the recessed walls. ¹⁷ Then he brought me into the outer court. Behold, there were rooms and a pavement made for the court all around. Thirty rooms were on the pavement. ¹⁸ And the pavement by the side of the gates to equal the length of the gates was the lower pavement. ¹⁹ The man measured the distance from the inside of the lower gateway to the outside of the inner courtyard. It was one hundred and seventy-five feet from the east and to the north. ²⁰ He measured the length and width of the gate of the outer court which faces toward the north. ²¹ And its alcoves were three on each side, and its pilasters and its porticos had the same measurement as the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and its width was twenty-five cubits. ²² Its windows, recessed walls, and palm tree pictures were the same size as those in the east gateway. Seven steps went up to it and led to its entrance hall. ²³ There was a gate to the inner court over against the other gate, both on the north and on the east; and he measured from gate to gate one hundred cubits. ²⁴ The man led me to the south side, and I saw a gateway that faced south. He measured its recessed walls and its entrance hall. They were the same size as those of the other gateways. ²⁵ And there were windows in it and in the covered way all round, like the other windows: it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. ²⁶ Seven steps went up to it and led to its entrance hall. Pictures of palm trees were carved on the recessed walls, one picture on each side. ²⁷ And there was a gate in the inner court on the south side: and he measured from gate to gate on the south side one hundred cubits. ²⁸ The man brought me to the inner courtyard through the south gateway. He measured the south gateway. It was the same size as the others. ²⁹ with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide. ³⁰ The porches round about were twenty five cubits long, and five cubits broad: ³¹ and its arches [are] unto the outer court, and palm-trees [are] unto its posts, and eight steps [are] its ascent." ³² And he brought me into the inner court on the east side; and he measured the gate after these measures; ³³ with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide. ³⁴ His porches reached unto the uttermost court: his pillars also had date trees on either side, and eight steps to go up upon. ³⁵ Then the man brought me to the north gateway. He measured it. It was the same size as the others. ³⁶ its rooms, its posts, and its porches. And windows were to it all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty five cubits wide. ³⁷ And its ailammons were on the outer court, and there were palm trees to the aileu, on each side and eight steps up to it. ³⁸ A room with its door was by the posts at the gates. They washed the burnt offering there. ³⁹ And in the portico of the gate were two tables on each side to slaughter the burnt offering on them and the sin offering and the guilt offering. ⁴⁰ And at the side without the porch, as one went up to the entrance of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side of the porch of the gate were two tables; ⁴¹ So there were four tables on each side of the gateway, eight tables in all, on which they slaughtered animals. ⁴² And there were four tables of hewn stone for the burnt-offerings, of a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon they laid the instruments wherewith they slaughtered the burnt-offerings and the sacrifices. ⁴³ Double-pronged hooks, three inches long, were attached to the wall all around the room, and the tables were for the meat of the animals. ⁴⁴ And he took me into the inner square, and there were two rooms in the inner square, one at the side of the north doorway, facing south; and one at the side of the south doorway, facing north. ⁴⁵ And he said to me, This room, facing south, is for the priests who have the care of the house. ⁴⁶ and that apartment facing the north is for the priests who have the charge of the altar, namely the sons of Sadduk, the only Levites who come near to the Lord to minister to him. ⁴⁷ And he measured the court, a square, a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide; and the altar was before the house. ⁴⁸ Then he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side. The width of the gate was three cubits on this side and three cubits on that side. ⁴⁹ The covered way was twenty cubits long and twelve cubits wide, and they went up to it by ten steps; and there were pillars by the uprights, one on one side and one on the other.

⁴¹ At the end of 430 years, to the very day, all the tribal divisions of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.

¹ Now in the ninth year of his rule, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came against Jerusalem with all his army and took up his position before it, building earthworks all round the town. ² So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of king Zedekiah. ³ On the ninth day of the [fourth] month the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land ⁴ The city was breached, and the entire army left during the night through the gate that stood between the two walls beside the royal garden, even though the Chaldeans had surrounded the city. They escaped by way of the Arabah, ⁵ But the Chaldean army pursued the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him. ⁶ So they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and they passed sentence on him. ⁷ They put the sons of Zedekiah to death before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, chained him with iron bands and took him to Babylon. ⁸ In the fifth month, on the seventh of the month, that is, the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, a commander of the imperial guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. ⁹ set fire to the LORD's temple, the royal palace, and all the houses of Jerusalem. He even set fire to the lavish homes. ¹⁰ The army of the Chaldaeans under the command of the captain of the army broke down the walls around Jerusalem. ¹¹ Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, carried the survivors of the people who remained in the city, those who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude into exile. ¹² But the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to work the vineyards and fields. ¹³ The Chaldeans broke up the pillars of bronze that were in the house of the LORD and the bases and the bronze sea that were in the house of the LORD, and carried the bronze pieces to Babylon. ¹⁴ They took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they ministered. ¹⁵ The captain of the guard took all of the incense burners and bowls that were made of gold or silver. ¹⁶ The bronze from the two pillars, the pool, and the stands that Solomon made for the LORD’s Temple could not be weighed. ¹⁷ One pillar was twenty-seven feet high and had a copper crown on it that was four and one half feet high. The filigree and the pomegranates around the crown were all made of copper. The second pillar and its filigree were the same. ¹⁸ And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the high priest, and Zephaniah the second in order, and the three doorkeepers. ¹⁹ From the city he also took an army commander, five men who had access to the king whom he found in the city, the scribe who was in charge of the militia, and sixty of the common people whom he found in the city. ²⁰ Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, took them and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah. ²¹ where the king of Babylon executed them in the land of Hamath. And so Judah was transported into exile from the land. ²² ¶ And as for the people whom Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, left in the land of Judah, he made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, governor over them. ²³ When all of the commanders of the troops heard, they and the men, that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah, they came to Gedaliah at Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, Johanan the son of Kareah, Seriah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, Jaazaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men. ²⁴ Gedaliah made this promise to them and to their men: "Don't be afraid of the servants of the Chaldeans. Live in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and things will go well with you." ²⁵ In the seventh month, Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the king's seed, came with ten men and made an attack on Gedaliah, causing his death and the death of the Jews and the Chaldaeans who were with him at Mizpah. ²⁶ Then all the people, small and great, and the captains of the forces, got up and went away to Egypt, for fear of the Chaldaeans. ²⁷ And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, lift ²⁸ He spoke kindly to him, and he gave him a better seat than the seat of the kings who were with him in Babylon. ²⁹ and changes his prison clothes: and he eats bread continually at his face all the days of his life: ³⁰ And for his food, the king gave him a regular amount every day for the rest of his life.

¹ In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem, and besieged it. ² On the ninth day of the fourth month of Zedekiah's eleventh year as king, the city walls were broken through. ³ And all the officials of the king of Babylon came and sat in the Middle Gate: Nergal-sharezer, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim the chief officer, Nergal-sharezer the high official, with all the rest of the officials of the king of Babylon. ⁴ When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled and went out of the city at night by way of the king's garden through the gate between the two walls. Then he went out on the road toward the Arabah. ⁵ But the Chaldean army pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. And they took him, and made him go up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment on him. ⁶ At Riblah, the king of Babylon executed Zedekiah's sons right before his eyes. He also executed all the nobles of Judah. ⁷ Then he put out Zedekiah's eyes and bound him with bronze fetters to take him to Babylon. ⁸ The Babylonians burned down the royal palace and the houses of the people and tore down the walls of Jerusalem. ⁹ Nebuzaradan, the captain of the Babylonian guard, took into exile in Babylon the rest of the people who remained in the city, those who had deserted to Nebuchadnezzar, and the rest of the people who remained. ¹⁰ Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left in the land of Judah some of the poor people who did not have anything, and he gave them vineyards and fields on that day. ¹¹ Now Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, gave orders about Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, saying, ¹² Go and find Jeremiah and take good care of him. Do not harm him, but do for him whatever he wants. ¹³ So Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, sent word, along with Nebushazban the chief officer, and Nergal-sharezer the high official, and all the chief officers of the king of Babylon. ¹⁴ they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the guard, and committed him to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home. So he lived among the people. ¹⁵ Now while Jeremiah lay yet bound in the fore entry of the prison, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, ¹⁶ "Go and say to Ebed-melech the Cushite, saying, 'Thus says the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel: "Look, I am about to bring my words to pass against this city for evil and not for good. And they will be before you on that day. ¹⁷ But I'll deliver you on that day," declares the LORD. "You won't be given into the hands of the men you fear. ¹⁸ For I will surely save you, and you won't fall by the sword, but you will escape with your life; because you have put your trust in me,” says the LORD.'”

¹ Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother`s name was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. ² And he did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as Jehoiakim had done. ³ For because of the anger of the LORD this happened in Jerusalem and Judah until his casting them from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon. ⁴ and in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came against Jerusalem with all his army. He encamped near it and set up siege works all around it. ⁵ So the city came under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah. ⁶ By the ninth day of the fourth month the famine became so severe that there was no food for the people of the land. ⁷ The wall of the city was broken through, and all the soldiers fled, leaving the city at night by way of the gate between the two walls next to the king's garden, even though the Chaldeans were all around the city. They went in the direction of the Arabah. ⁸ The Babylonian army pursued King Zedekiah and caught up with him in the plain of Jericho. His entire army had deserted him. ⁹ Then they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he passed sentence on him. ¹⁰ And the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also slaughtered all the officials of Judah at Riblah. ¹¹ And he put out Zedekiah's eyes; and the king of Babylon, chaining him in iron bands, took him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death. ¹² Now the tenth day of the fifth Month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the chief captain and the king of Babylon's servants came unto Jerusalem, ¹³ He burned down the LORD’s Temple, the royal palace, and all the houses in Jerusalem. Every important building was burned down. ¹⁴ The entire Babylonian army that was with the captain of the guard tore down the walls around Jerusalem. ¹⁵ Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard carried into exile some of the poorest of the people, the rest of the people left in the city, the deserters who had defected to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the craftsmen. ¹⁶ Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, left some of the poorest people in the land to work in the vineyards and on the farms. ¹⁷ The Chaldeans broke in pieces the bronze pillars that were in the LORD's temple and the stands and the bronze sea that were in the LORD's temple, and they carried all the bronze to Babylon. ¹⁸ they took the pots, shovels, snuffers, bowls, dishes, and all the copper utensils used in the Temple service. ¹⁹ The captain of the bodyguard took away the bowls, the fire pans, the basins, the pots, the lamp stands, the pans, and the bowls for libations, both those made of gold and those made of silver. ²⁰ The copper from the two pillars, the pool, and the twelve copper bulls under the stands that King Solomon had made for the LORD’s Temple could not be weighed. ²¹ One pillar was twenty-seven feet high and eighteen feet in circumference. It was three inches thick and hollow. ²² And there was a crown of brass on it: the crown was five cubits high, circled with a network and apples all of brass; and the second pillar had the same. ²³ There were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides. The total number of pomegranates on the surrounding filigree was one hundred. ²⁴ And the captain of the guard took Serayah the chief priest, and Zephanyah the priest second in rank, and the three door-keepers; ²⁵ From the city he also took an army commander, seven men who had access to the king whom he found in the city, the scribe who was in charge of the militia, and sixty common people whom he found in the city. ²⁶ Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah. ²⁷ And the king of Babylon put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was taken prisoner away from his land. ²⁸ These are the people Nebuchadnezzar took into exile: in the seventh year, 3,023 Judeans; ²⁹ in Nebuchadnezzar's eighteenth year, 832 people from Jerusalem; ³⁰ in Nebuchadnezzar's twenty-third year, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard took 745 people from Judah into exile. All the people taken into exile numbered 4,600. ³¹ And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty-fifth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the [first] year of his reign, lifted u ³² He spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon, ³³ Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes and regularly dined with the king as long as he lived. ³⁴ The king of Babylon gave him a daily food allowance as long as he lived.

² On the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of the exile of king Jehoyachin, ³ the word of the LORD came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD came upon me.

¹⁴ So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the anger of my spirit; and the hand of the LORD was strong on me.

²² And the hand of the LORD was on me there, and he said to me, "Rise up, go out to the valley, and there I will speak with you."

¹ And then in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, I was sitting in my house, and the elders of Judah were sitting before me. And the hand of the Sovereign LORD fell on me there,

²⁴ And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into Chaldea, to the exiles, in a vision by the Spirit of God. And the vision that I had seen went up from me.

¹⁷ Now in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the word of the LORD came to me. He said:

¹ In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first of the month, the word of the LORD came to me:

¹⁷ And in the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

²¹ In the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, one who had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, “The city has been defeated!”

¹ The hand of the LORD was upon me and he brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD and set me down in the midst of the valley and it was full of bones.

¹⁰ On the Lord’s day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,

¹² and the pattern of all that he had in mind for the courts of the house of the LORD, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of God's house, and for the treasuries of the dedicated things;

¹⁹ the whole in writing, From the hand of the LORD upon me, to give understanding,—all the works of the pattern.

² In the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the highest of the mountains and exalted above the hills. All the nations will stream to it. ³ Then many people will come and say: "Let us go to the mountain of the LORD, to the House of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways so that we may live by them." The law will go out from Zion. The word of the LORD will go out from Jerusalem.

¹³ You said in your heart, "I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mountain of assembly, in the far north.

² for they call themselves citizens of the holy city, and rely on the God of Israel; the LORD of Armies is his name.

¹ Now in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

³ It stretched out what looked like a hand and grabbed me by the hair on my head. In these visions from God, the Spirit carried me between heaven and earth. He took me in vision to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the idol of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy, was located.

²² The Sovereign LORD says thus: I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar and will set it. I will crop off a tender one from the topmost of its offshoots and I will plant it upon a high and lofty mountain. ²³ I will plant it in the mountain of the height of Israel; and it will produce boughs, and bear fruit, and be a good cedar. Birds of every kind will dwell in the shade of its branches.

³⁰ "These are the exits to the city: On the north side, 4,500 units by measurement, ³¹ "The gates of the city will be named after the tribes of Israel. The three gates on the north side will be Reuben Gate, Judah Gate, and Levi Gate. ³² And at the east side four thousand and five hundred: and three gates; one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan. ³³ And the south side five hundred, and four thousand measures, and three gates: the gate of Simeon one, the gate of Issachar one, the gate of Zebulun one. ³⁴ At the west side four thousand and five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali. ³⁵ A perimeter shall measure 18,000 units, and the name of the city from that time on shall be 'THE LORD IS THERE.'"

³⁴ you see until a stone is cut - not by hands which strikes the image on his feet of iron and clay and pulverizes them: ³⁵ Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were broken in pieces together and became like chaff from a summer threshing floor that the breeze carries away without leaving a trace. Then the rock that struck the statue grew into a huge mountain and filled the entire earth.

¹ In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions in his mind on his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the summary of it.

⁷ After this I looked in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, frightening and terrifying, and very strong. And it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts before it; and it had ten horns.

¹ But in the latter days, it will happen that the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established on the top of the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills; and peoples will stream to it.

¹⁷ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people; your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

⁹ During the night, Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

¹ I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to gain, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. ² I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows. ³ And I know that this manwhether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows ⁴ was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, which a man is not permitted to tell. ⁵ I will boast about such a man, but I will not boast about myself, except in my weaknesses. ⁶ Even if I wanted to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me, ⁷ And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me.

²⁶ But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, ¹¹ having the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. ¹² It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. ¹³ There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south, and three on the west. ¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. ¹⁵ The angel who was talking with me had a measuring rod of gold, to measure the city, its gates and wall. ¹⁶ The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, twelve thousand stadia; its length and width and height are equal. ¹⁷ And he measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits, according to man's measurement, which the angel was using. ¹⁸ The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as clear as glass. ¹⁹ The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every kind of precious stone: The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, ²⁰ the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. ²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each gate made of a single pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. ²² But I saw no temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. ²³ The city does not need the sun nor the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God lighted it, and the Lamb is its lamp.

²⁰ To the Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because no light is in them.

¹⁷ I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plumb line. The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place.

⁷ Their legs were straight. Their feet were like those of calves and they glittered like polished copper.

²⁷ Then I saw what he looked like from the waist up. He looked like glowing copper with fire all around it. From the waist down he looked like fire. A bright light surrounded him.

³ As the man went eastward a measuring line was in his hand, and he measured a thousand cubits. And he led me through on into the water; it was ankle deep.

⁵ I looked up to see a man clothed in linen. His loins were girded with pure gold of the Uphaz region. ⁶ His body was like beryl, his face flashed like lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and legs were like polished bronze, and his speech roared like that of a crowd.

¹ Then I looked up and saw a man with a measuring line in his hand. ² Then I asked: "Where are you going?" He said to me: "To measure Jerusalem, to see the width and the length of it."

¹⁵ his feet were like bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the noise of mighty waters.

¹ Then I was given a stick like a measuring rod. I was told, "Stand up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count those who worship there.

¹⁵ The angel who was talking with me had a measuring rod of gold, to measure the city, its gates and wall.

¹⁰ My downtrodden people and the son of my threshing floor, I will announce to you what I have heard from the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel.

² “the LORD says: 'Stand in the court of the LORD's house, and speak to all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Don't omit a word.

¹ He said to me, "Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you."

⁷ And you must speak my words to them whether they listen or whether they fail to listen, for they are rebellious. ⁸ But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I give you.

¹⁷ Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

¹⁰ "Son of man, describe this Temple to the people of Israel. Then they will be ashamed because of their sins. Let them study the plans.

⁵ And the LORD said to me, Son of man, note carefully: see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I say to you concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all its laws. And set your heart to the entrance of the house, with all the exits of the sanctuary.

²⁷ What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops.

⁹ He who has ears, let him hear."

⁵¹ Have you understood all this?" Jesus asked. "Yes," they answered. ⁵² He said to them: Therefore, every scribe that is trained for the kingdom of heaven, is like the master of a house, who brings out of his treasury things new and old.

²⁷ For I did not hesitate to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

²³ For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread,

¹¹ »Of the Rephaim only King Og of Bashan was left. His bed was made of iron and was more than thirteen feet long and six feet wide. It is still in the Ammonite city of Rabbah.

² As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people from this time forth and forevermore.

¹ In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city. He appoints salvation for walls and ramparts.

¹⁸ Violence will no more be heard in your land, desolation nor destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.

²⁰ By the four sides he measured it. It had a wall all around, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred wide, to separate between the holy and the common.

⁵ And I will be for it a wall of fire all around,' declares the LORD, 'and I will be the glory in its midst.'"

⁸ The entrance of the lowest story, was on the right side of the house,—and, by winding stairs, went they up unto the middle [story], and, out of the middle, into, the third.

¹⁸ being stationed at the King's Gate on the east, up to the present time. These were the gatekeepers belonging to the camp of the Levites.

²⁴ The gatekeepers were on the four sides: east, west, north and south.

²⁹ After them Zadok son of Immer repaired opposite his house. After him Shemaiah son of Shecaniah, keeper of the East Gate, repaired.

¹⁰ For one day in Your courts is better than thousands. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God, than dwell in the tents of sinners.

² Go out to the Valley of Hinnom at the entrance to the Potsherd Gate, and there proclaim the words that I'm telling you.

¹⁶ And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house, and, behold, at the entrance of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

¹⁸ Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim.

¹ And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the eastern gate of the house of the LORD, the gate which faces eastward. And, behold, at the opening of the gate were twenty five men. And I saw among them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.

⁵ ¶ And behold a wall on the outside of the house, and the measuring reed which that man had in his hand, was six cubits long, of a cubit and a hand breadth; so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

⁷ And every cell was one rod long, and one rod broad; and between the cells were five cubits: and the threshold of the gate near by the porch of the gate within was one rod.

²⁰ He measured the length and width of the gate of the outer court which faces toward the north.

²⁶ Seven steps went up to it and led to its entrance hall. Pictures of palm trees were carved on the recessed walls, one picture on each side.

¹ And he brought me to the gate which was facing east.

⁸ When they placed— Their threshold by my threshold and their door-past beside my door-post, With only the wall, between me and them, then defiled they my holy Name by their abominations which they committed, -Wherefore I devoured them in mine anger.

¹ And he brought me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary that is facing east, and it was shut.

¹ Thus sayeth the LORD God: the door of the innermore court toward the East shall be shut the six working days: but in the Sabbath and in the day of the new Moon, it shall be opened. ² "'The prince must enter from the outside through the entrance hall of the gateway. He must stand by the doorposts of the gateway. Then the priests must prepare the prince's burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. He must worship at the entrance of the gateway and then leave. The gate must not be closed until evening.

¹² "'When the prince prepares a freewill burnt offering, either a burnt offering or a fellowship offering to the LORD, the east gate must be opened for him. He must sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings as he does on the day of worship. When he leaves, the gate must be shut after him.

¹ The man took me back to the door of the Temple. I saw water flowing from under the entrance of the Temple toward the east. The Temple faced east. The water was flowing under the south side of the Temple, south of the altar.

⁵ And against the wall of the house he set chambers round about the temple and the ark. ⁶ The lowest floor was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house. ⁷ The temple was constructed of stone precut at the quarry so that no hammer, axe, or any other iron implement would be heard in the temple while it was being built. ⁸ The entrance of the lowest story, was on the right side of the house,—and, by winding stairs, went they up unto the middle [story], and, out of the middle, into, the third. ⁹ So he put up the house and made it complete, roofing it with boards of cedar-wood. ¹⁰ He built the storeys against the whole house, each five cubits high: and they were attached to the house by cedar beams.

²⁶ But the four principal gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the responsibility for the rooms and treasuries in the house of God.

²⁸ The duty of the Levites was to help Aaron's descendants in the service of the Temple of the LORD: to be in charge of the courtyards, the side rooms, the purification of all sacred things and the performance of other duties at the House of God.

⁹ The gold nails weighed 50 shekels. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.

¹¹ Hezekiah gave an order to prepare storerooms in the LORD's temple, and so they did.

²⁹ Be alert and guard them until you weigh them out in the rooms of the House of the LORD before the priests' chiefs and the Levites and the heads of the fathers' houses of Israel in Jerusalem.

⁴ And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the room of the sons of Hananiah son of Gedaliah, the man of God, which was by the room of the officials, which was above the room of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold.

²⁹ with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide.

¹⁹ And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the house, and on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the gateposts of the inner court.

⁹ "You shall make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side there shall be hangings of fine woven linen for the court, 150 feet long on one side.

¹⁷ the curtains for the enclosure, its posts and bases; the curtain for the entrance of the enclosure;

¹⁶ And Aaron and his sons shall eat that which is left of it: it shall be eaten without leaven in a holy place, they shall eat it in the court of the tabernacle of witness.

⁶ He said to me, 'Solomon, your son, shall build my house and my courts; for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.

⁴ Enter his gates with thanksgiving, his courts with praise. Give thanks to him; bless his name.

⁹ But those who have garnered it will eat it and praise the LORD. And those who have gathered it will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.

⁷ Then he took me to the entrance of the courtyard. As I looked, I saw a hole in the wall.

¹ The man led me out to the north to the outer courtyard. He brought me to the side rooms opposite both the open area and the northern building.

⁴ He made windows of fixed lattice work for the house.

²⁹ And all the walls of the house inside and out were ornamented with forms of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers.

³² The doors were decorated with carved figures of cherubim, palm trees, and flowers. The doors, the cherubim, and the palm trees were covered with gold.

³⁵ He carved cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.

⁵ And he lined the great house with cedar wood, and gilded it with pure gold, and carved upon it palm trees and chains.

¹² The righteous will flourish like palm trees; they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

¹² The edge before the chambers was one cubit broad upon both the sides, and the cambers six cubits wide of either side.

²¹ And its alcoves were three on each side, and its pilasters and its porticos had the same measurement as the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and its width was twenty-five cubits. ²² Its windows, recessed walls, and palm tree pictures were the same size as those in the east gateway. Seven steps went up to it and led to its entrance hall.

²⁵ And there were windows in it and in the covered way all round, like the other windows: it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.

³⁰ The porches round about were twenty five cubits long, and five cubits broad:

¹⁵ And he measured the length of the building facing the courtyard at the rear and its galleries, a hundred cubits on each side, and also the temple, the court, and the porticos of the courtyard, ¹⁶ the thresholds, and the latticed windows, and the galleries all around, their three stories opposite the threshold, were paneled with wood all around, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered

¹⁸ were carved cherubim and palm trees between the cherubim, and each cherub had two faces.

²⁶ And narrow windows and palm tree images were on either side, and on the side walls of the portico, and the side rooms of the temple and their overhang.

³ Opposite the twenty cubits of the inner courtyard, and opposite the pavement that was to the outer courtyard was a gallery facing a gallery in the three stories.

² There is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool which is called in Hebrew Bethesda. Around it are five colonnades.

¹² Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

⁹ After this I looked, and there was a vast throng that no one could count from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

⁵ And against the wall of the house he set chambers round about the temple and the ark.

¹¹ He also removed the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the worship of the sun. He burned the chariots used in this worship.

⁵ The sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.

³⁸ A room with its door was by the posts at the gates. They washed the burnt offering there.

⁶ The side rooms were in three stories, one over another, and thirty in order. They entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side rooms all around, that they might be supported, and not penetrate the wall of the house.

⁴ And in front of the rooms was a walk, ten cubits wide and a hundred cubits long; and their doors were facing north.

⁵ Twenty-five thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth, shall be to the Levites, the ministers of the house, t will be their possession for cities to live in.

²¹ Then he led me to the outer court and conducted me round the four sides of the court. And lo! a court at the four corners of this court.

² But leave out the outer court of the temple, and do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. And they shall trample the holy city for forty-two months.

²³ There was a gate to the inner court over against the other gate, both on the north and on the east; and he measured from gate to gate one hundred cubits.

²⁷ And there was a gate in the inner court on the south side: and he measured from gate to gate on the south side one hundred cubits.

⁶ The man went to the gateway that faced east. He went up its steps and measured the entrance to the gateway. It was ten and one half feet wide. ⁷ And every cell was one rod long, and one rod broad; and between the cells were five cubits: and the threshold of the gate near by the porch of the gate within was one rod. ⁸ He also measured the entrance hall of the gateway.

¹⁰ And the gate eastward had three chambers on each side, they three were of one measure; and the portals were also of one measure on each side. ¹¹ And he measured the width of the entrance of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits. ¹² The edge before the chambers was one cubit broad upon both the sides, and the cambers six cubits wide of either side. ¹³ He measured the gateway from the top of one guardroom to the top of the opposite guardroom. It was forty-four feet wide from one door to the opposite door. ¹⁴ And the open space of the columned porch of the gate—sixty cubits, and to the vestibules of the gate round about. ¹⁵ And upon the face of the gate of the entrance to the face of the porch of the gate, fifty cubits. ¹⁶ The guardrooms and recessed walls inside the gateway had small windows all around. The entrance hall also had windows all around on the inside. Pictures of palm trees were carved on the recessed walls.

³⁶ And he engraved cherubs, lions, and palm trees on the plates of its sides, and on its borders, as the place of each, with wreaths all around.

¹⁶ The guardrooms and recessed walls inside the gateway had small windows all around. The entrance hall also had windows all around on the inside. Pictures of palm trees were carved on the recessed walls.

³¹ and its arches [are] unto the outer court, and palm-trees [are] unto its posts, and eight steps [are] its ascent."

³⁷ And its ailammons were on the outer court, and there were palm trees to the aileu, on each side and eight steps up to it.

⁴⁹ The covered way was twenty cubits long and twelve cubits wide, and they went up to it by ten steps; and there were pillars by the uprights, one on one side and one on the other.

¹ Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith in God,

⁹ "You shall make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side there shall be hangings of fine woven linen for the court, 150 feet long on one side. ¹⁰ And twenty pillars and their twenty brass bases: the pegs of the pillars and their joinings of silver. ¹¹ "The north side should be the same one hundred fifty feet long, with curtains on twenty posts set in twenty copper bases. The hooks and bands on the posts should be made of silver. ¹² "The courtyard on the west side should be seventy-five wide and have curtains hung on ten posts set in ten bases. ¹³ "On the east end, facing the rising sun, the courtyard should also be seventy-five feet wide. ¹⁴ Hangings of fifteen cubits in the one side of it with three pillars, and three sockets: ¹⁵ And on the other side, hangings fifteen cubits long, with three pillars and three bases. ¹⁶ And for the gate of the courtyard there will be a screen of twenty cubits of blue and purple and crimson yarns and finely twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer; with their four pillars and their four bases. ¹⁷ All the pillars round the open space are to have silver bands, with hooks of silver and bases of brass. ¹⁸ The length of the courtyard will be one hundred cubits and the width fifty cubits and the height five cubits, of finely twisted linen, with their bronze bases.

⁹ And he made the courtyard; for the south side were the hangings of the court of finely twisted linen, one hundred cubits, ¹⁰ And their posts—twenty, and their twenty brass bases. And their hooks and their clips were of silver. ¹¹ And for the north side. hangings a hundred cubits long, on twenty brass pillars in brass bases, with silver hooks and bands. ¹² The west side was seventy-five feet long. It had curtains hung on ten posts set in ten bases. The hooks and bands on the posts were made of silver.

¹⁹ The man measured the distance from the inside of the lower gateway to the outside of the inner courtyard. It was one hundred and seventy-five feet from the east and to the north.

²⁷ And there was a gate in the inner court on the south side: and he measured from gate to gate on the south side one hundred cubits. ²⁸ The man brought me to the inner courtyard through the south gateway. He measured the south gateway. It was the same size as the others.

⁴⁴ And he took me into the inner square, and there were two rooms in the inner square, one at the side of the north doorway, facing south; and one at the side of the south doorway, facing north.

²⁰ He measured the length and width of the gate of the outer court which faces toward the north. ²¹ And its alcoves were three on each side, and its pilasters and its porticos had the same measurement as the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and its width was twenty-five cubits.

²⁸ The man brought me to the inner courtyard through the south gateway. He measured the south gateway. It was the same size as the others. ²⁹ with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide.

³⁵ Then the man brought me to the north gateway. He measured it. It was the same size as the others. ³⁶ its rooms, its posts, and its porches. And windows were to it all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty five cubits wide.

⁹ And when the people of the land come in before the Lord at the festivals, he who cometh in at the north gate to worship, shall go out at the south gate: and he who cometh in at the south gate shall go out at the north gate. He shall not turn back to the gate at which he entered, but shall go out straight forward.

⁴⁶ I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.

¹⁹ And we have the prophetic word made more sure, and you will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

¹² The righteous will flourish like palm trees; they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. ¹³ Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.

⁷ Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like clusters of fruit. ⁸ I said, "I will climb up into the palm tree. I will take hold of its fruit." Let your breasts be like clusters of the vine, the smell of your breath like apples,

²² Its windows, recessed walls, and palm tree pictures were the same size as those in the east gateway. Seven steps went up to it and led to its entrance hall.

¹⁸ But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

³² And he brought me into the inner court on the east side; and he measured the gate after these measures;

⁴⁷ And he measured the court, a square, a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide; and the altar was before the house.

³⁵ Then the man brought me to the north gateway. He measured it. It was the same size as the others.

¹¹ Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the entrance hall and the Temple, the storerooms, upper rooms, inner rooms, and the room for the throne of mercy. ¹² and the pattern of all that he had in mind for the courts of the house of the LORD, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of God's house, and for the treasuries of the dedicated things;

⁵ prepared for Tobiah a large chamber where they had formerly put the grain offering, the frankincense, the temple objects, tithes of grain, wine, and oil commanded for the Levites, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the offerings of the priests.

⁹ Then I gave orders, and they made the rooms clean: and I put back in them the vessels of the house of God, with the meal offerings and the perfume.

² Go to the family of Archabin and thou shalt bring them to the house of the Lord, into one of the courts, and give them wine to drink. ³ Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, and his brothers, all his sons and the whole family of the Rechabites; ⁴ And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the room of the sons of Hananiah son of Gedaliah, the man of God, which was by the room of the officials, which was above the room of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold.

¹⁰ Then Baruch read the words of Jeremiah from the book in the LORD's house, in the room of Gemariah the son of Shaphan, the scribe, in the upper court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.

⁴ Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face.

² And he led me out by way of the north gate, and led me around the way outside to the outer gate, by the way facing east. And, behold, water was trickling out of the right side.

⁹ but he shall wash its innards and its legs with water. The priest shall burn all of it on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

²¹ He washed the inward parts and the legs with water; and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire to the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁶ He also made ten basins, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them. The things that belonged to the burnt offering were washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

¹⁷ Then he brought me into the outer court. Behold, there were rooms and a pavement made for the court all around. Thirty rooms were on the pavement.

¹⁰ And between the rooms was a space twenty cubits wide all round the house. ¹¹ And the free space had doors opening from the side-rooms, one door on the north and one door on the south: and the free space was five cubits wide all round.

¹³ Then he said to me, “The north rooms and the south rooms, which are before the separate place, are the holy rooms, where the priests who are near to the LORD shall eat the most holy things. There they shall lay the most holy things, with the meal offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.

²² let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

³ “'If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without defect. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD. ⁴ " 'He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering and it will be accepted for him in order to make atonement for him. ⁵ He must slaughter the young bull before the LORD, then Aaron's sons, the priests, will present the blood and sprinkle the blood all around the altar that is at the door of the tent of assembly. ⁶ He shall skin the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces. ⁷ The sons of Aaron the priest will put fire on the altar and arrange the wood on the fire. ⁸ Then Aaron's sons, the priests, will arrange the pieces of meat, the head, and the suet on the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar. ⁹ but he shall wash its innards and its legs with water. The priest shall burn all of it on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ¹⁰ And if the offering be of the flocks, a holocaust of sheep or of goats, he shall offer a male without blemish. ¹¹ He must slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the LORD; then Aaron's sons, the priests, will sprinkle its blood all around the altar. ¹² then they shall cut it in quarters and the priests shall lay these with the head and the suet on the wood which is on the fire on the altar; ¹³ But he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it on the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD. ¹⁴ "'If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons. ¹⁵ The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar; ¹⁶ He must remove its crop with its plumage and throw it to the east beside the altar on the place of the fatty ashes. ¹⁷ He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

² to tell the people of Israel: "If a person sins unintentionally and does not keep the LORD's commandments he would have to observe the following rules: ³ "If it is the High Priest who sins and brings guilt on the people, he should present a young bull without any defects and sacrifice it to the LORD for his sin.

¹³ “‘If the whole congregation of Israel sins, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, and are guilty; ¹⁴ when the sin in which they have sinned is known, then the assembly shall offer a young bull for a sin offering, and bring it before the Tent of Meeting. ¹⁵ And the elders of the community shall place their hands on the bull's head before the LORD, and he shall slaughter the bull before the LORD. ¹⁶ "Then the anointed priest will bring some of the bull's blood into the Tent of Meeting. ¹⁷ and shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD: even before the veil. ¹⁸ He shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in the Tent of Meeting; and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting. ¹⁹ "He will remove all the fat and burn it on the altar. ²⁰ Thus he will do with the bullock, as he did with the bullock of the sin offering, so he will do with this. And the priest will make atonement for them and they will be forgiven. ²¹ He shall carry the bull outside the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bull. It is the sin offering for the assembly. ²² "When a ruler sins and becomes guilty of breaking one of the LORD's commands without intending to, ²³ when his sin is showed unto him which he hath sinned, he shall bring for his offering a he goat without blemish, ²⁴ He shall place his hand on the he-goat's head and slaughter it in the place where he slaughtered the burnt offering before the LORD; it is a sin offering. ²⁵ The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering. He shall pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering. ²⁶ He must turn all of its fat into smoke on the altar like the fat of the fellowship offerings' sacrifice, and the priest shall make atonement for him because of his sin, and he will be forgiven. ²⁷ "When a common person unintentionally does something wrong, even one thing forbidden by the LORD's commandments, he will be guilty. ²⁸ And shall come to know his sin: he shall offer a she goat without blemish. ²⁹ and lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay it in the place of burnt offerings. ³⁰ And the priest shall take some of the blood with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar. ³¹ He must remove all of its fat just as the fat was removed from the fellowship offerings' sacrifice, and the priest shall turn it into smoke on the altar as an appeasing fragrance for the LORD. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven. ³² “'If he brings a lamb as his offering for a sin offering, he shall bring a female without defect. ³³ and lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay it in the place where the burnt offerings are slain. ³⁴ And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar: ³⁵ He shall remove all its fat, like the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar, on the offerings of the LORD made by fire. The priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he has sinned, and he will be forgiven.

⁶ and he shall bring his guilt offering to the LORD for his sin that he has committed: a female from the flock, a ewe-lamb or a she-goat, as a sin offering, and the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin. ⁷ And if he cannot afford a sheep, he shall bring for his sin which he has sinned, two turtle-doves or two young pigeons to the Lord; one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering. ⁸ He shall bring them to the priest, who shall first offer the one which is for the sin offering. He shall wring off its head from its neck, but shall not sever it completely. ⁹ He shall sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering. ¹⁰ Then he shall offer the other as an offering of homage in the usual manner. So shall the priest make atonement for him for the sin which he hath committed and it shall be forgiven him. ¹¹ And if he cannot afford a pair of turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, then shall he bring as his gift for his sin, the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin-offering; he shall not pour oil upon it, nor shall he put frankincense upon it, because it is a sin-offering. ¹² He shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it as the memorial portion, and burn it on the altar, on the offerings of the LORD made by fire. It is a sin offering. ¹³ So shall the priest make atonement for him, for the sin which he hath committed and it shall be forgiven him. And what is left shall be for the priest, as the sacrifice of fine flour.

⁶ And he shall bring his trespass to the LORD, a blameless ram from the sheep by thy estimation, for the trespass, to the priest

¹ "'These are the instructions for the guilt offering. It is very holy. ² »‘It should be slaughtered in the same place where the burnt offering is slaughtered. A priest will throw the blood against all sides of the altar.

⁵ But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.

¹⁰ It was the LORD's will to allow him to be crushed. Even though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.

⁴² And there were four tables of hewn stone for the burnt-offerings, of a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon they laid the instruments wherewith they slaughtered the burnt-offerings and the sacrifices.

²² The altar of wood was three cubits high, and its length two cubits; and its corners, and its length, and its walls, were of wood: and he said to me, This is the table that is before the LORD.

¹⁶ "'They will enter my sanctuary and come near my table to minister to me and keep my charge.

² "'The prince must enter from the outside through the entrance hall of the gateway. He must stand by the doorposts of the gateway. Then the priests must prepare the prince's burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. He must worship at the entrance of the gateway and then leave. The gate must not be closed until evening.

⁷ By presenting defiled food on my altar. And you ask 'How have we defiled you?' By saying 'The Table of the LORD is contemptible.'

¹² "But you profane it, in that you say, 'The LORD's table is defiled, and its fruit, its food, is despised.'

³⁰ so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

¹⁶ Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? ¹⁷ Because there is one loaf, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf. ¹⁸ Look at the rites of Israel. Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar? ¹⁹ What do I mean then? That a thing offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? ²⁰ No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God. And I do not want you to be participants with demons. ²¹ You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: you cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of demons.

²¹ God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

³⁹ And in the portico of the gate were two tables on each side to slaughter the burnt offering on them and the sin offering and the guilt offering. ⁴⁰ And at the side without the porch, as one went up to the entrance of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side of the porch of the gate were two tables;

²⁵ If you make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of cut stones; for if you lift up your tool on it, you have polluted it.

³⁹ And in the portico of the gate were two tables on each side to slaughter the burnt offering on them and the sin offering and the guilt offering.

⁶ He shall skin the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces.

⁸ Then Aaron's sons, the priests, will arrange the pieces of meat, the head, and the suet on the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar.

²⁰ and cut the ram in pieces and burnt the head, the pieces and the fat,

³¹ These are the men David put in charge of the music in the house of the LORD after the ark came to rest there. ³² They ministered with music before the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, until Solomon built the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem. They performed their duties according to the regulations laid down for them.

⁴¹ With them were Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because His grace endures forever; ⁴² and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those making a sound, and instruments of the song of God; and the sons of Jeduthun were at the gate. ⁴³ Then all the people went each to his house, and David turned to bless his household.

¹ David and the commanders of the army set apart for the service some of the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with lyres, harps and cymbals; and the number of those who performed their service was: ² of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king. ³ Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah and Mattithiah, six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD. ⁴ Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth: ⁵ All these were sons of Heman, the king's seer in the words of God. And to make great his power God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. ⁶ All these were under the direction of their father to sing in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, harps and lyres, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman under the direction of the king. ⁷ They and their relatives who had been skillfully trained in singing to the LORD, numbered 288. ⁸ And they cast lots, for duty, the small as well as the great, the teacher as the pupil. ⁹ Now the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph, the second for Gedaliah, he with his relatives and sons were twelve. ¹⁰ the third to Zaccur, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹¹ the fourth to Izri, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹² the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹³ the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹⁴ the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹⁵ the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹⁶ the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹⁷ the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹⁸ the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ¹⁹ the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ²⁰ the thirteenth to Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve; ²¹ the fourteenth, to Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve; ²² the fifteenth Jerimoth. his sons and brethren, twelve; ²³ for the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ²⁴ for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ²⁵ for the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ²⁶ for the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ²⁷ for the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ²⁸ The twenty first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers. ²⁹ for the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ³⁰ for the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his relatives, twelve; ³¹ for the twenty-fourth to Romamti-ezer, his sons and his relatives, twelve.

¹⁹ Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord,

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

³⁵ "You will stay at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting day and night for seven days and keep the watch as the LORD directs you. Then you will not die. This is what I was commanded."

²⁷ To Kohath are the families of Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. These are the families of Kohath. ²⁸ The number of all the males from a month old and above were 8,600. They were tasked to care of the sanctuary.

³² The chief of all the leaders of the Levites was Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest. He was assigned overseer over those who take care of the services of the sanctuary.

³⁸ Moses, Aaron, and his sons put up their tents on the east side in front of the tent of meeting. They were in charge of the holy place on behalf of the Israelites. Anyone else who tried to do the Levites' duties had to be put to death.

⁵ You are to be responsible for the holy place and the altar, so that wrath may never again come on the children of Israel.

⁴⁹ But Aaron and his descendants were the ones who presented offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense in connection with all that was done in the Most Holy Place, making atonement for Israel, in accordance with all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

²³ They and their descendants were in charge of guarding the gates of the house of the LORD, the house called the tent.

¹¹ and they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense. They also set the showbread in order on the pure table; and the lampstand of gold with its lamps, to burn every evening. We keep the instruction of the LORD our God; but you have forsaken Him.

¹ Behold, praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who stand by night in the house of the LORD.

⁵ God said to me: "Son of man, look toward the north." So I looked toward the north. There in the entrance to the north gate beside the altar, I saw the idol that provokes jealousy and stirs up God's anger.

⁴ "Then you will know that I have sent to you this command, that my covenant with Levi continues," says the LORD of hosts. ⁵ "My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him. This required reverence, and he revered me and stood in awe before my name. ⁶ The Law of Truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips. He walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and turned away many from iniquity. ⁷ For the lips of the priest should guard knowledge, and they should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

²⁰ O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,

⁶ and has made us a kingdom and priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹² The fire on the altar is to be kept burning; it is never to go out; every morning the priest is to put wood on it, placing the burned offering in order on it, and there the fat of the peace-offering is to be burned. ¹³ Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.

³ Therefore Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the LORD spoke, saying, 'Among those who are close to me I will show myself holy, and in the presence of all the people I will display my glory.'" So Aaron was silent.

⁵ Then he said to Korah and all his followers: "In the morning the LORD will show who belongs to him, who is holy. He will have that person come near him. Only the person the LORD chooses will be allowed to come near him.

⁴⁰ He followed the LORD's command given through Moses. The copper-covered altar will remind Israel that no one but a descendant of Aaron may come near to burn incense to the LORD. Everyone else will die like Korah and his followers.

³⁵ The king made Benaiah commander of the army in Joab's place and put Zadok the priest in Abiathar's place.

¹⁹ And you shall give a young bull for a sin offering to the priests the Levites, who are of the seed of Zadok, who approach Me to minister to Me, says the Sovereign LORD.

¹⁵ But the Levitical priests, the descendants of Zadok, who cared for the responsibility of my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, they will approach me to serve me, and they will stand before me to offer to me fat and blood," declares the Sovereign LORD.

⁴ It is a holy portion of the land; it shall be for the priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, who come near to minister to the LORD. It shall be a place for their houses and a holy place for the sanctuary.

¹¹ To the priests being consecrated: of the sons of Zadok, who watched my watches, who went not astray in the going astray of the sons of Israel, as the Levites went astray.

¹³ But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.

³ The vestibule on the face of the main hall of the temple was twenty cubits in its length, and the width of the temple was ten cubits wide on the face of the temple.

⁴ And the covered way in front of the house was twenty cubits long, as wide as the house, and a hundred and twenty cubits high, all plated inside with the best gold.

¹⁵ He fashioned two bronze pillars, each one 27 feet high and having a circumference of 18 feet . ¹⁶ And he made two head pieces of molten brass to set on the tops of the pillars, of five cubits long apiece, ¹⁷ He made also two pieces of net work to cover the chapiters of the pillars; one piece of net work for each chapiter. ¹⁸ And he made pomegranates, namely two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars; and so he did for the other capital. ¹⁹ And on the capitals which were on top of the pillars in the porch were works of lilies four cubits high. ²⁰ and the caps on the two pillars also above - beside the belly beside the net: with two hundred pomegranates in rows all around on the second cap. ²¹ He put up the pillars at the doorway of the Temple, naming the one on the right Jachin, and that on the left Boaz.

¹⁷ And he erected the columns in front of the temple, one on the south and one on the north. He called the name of the southern one Jakin, and the name of the northern one Boaz.

¹⁷ The Chaldeans broke in pieces the bronze pillars that were in the LORD's temple and the stands and the bronze sea that were in the LORD's temple, and they carried all the bronze to Babylon. ¹⁸ they took the pots, shovels, snuffers, bowls, dishes, and all the copper utensils used in the Temple service. ¹⁹ The captain of the bodyguard took away the bowls, the fire pans, the basins, the pots, the lamp stands, the pans, and the bowls for libations, both those made of gold and those made of silver. ²⁰ The copper from the two pillars, the pool, and the twelve copper bulls under the stands that King Solomon had made for the LORD’s Temple could not be weighed. ²¹ One pillar was twenty-seven feet high and eighteen feet in circumference. It was three inches thick and hollow. ²² And there was a crown of brass on it: the crown was five cubits high, circled with a network and apples all of brass; and the second pillar had the same. ²³ There were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides. The total number of pomegranates on the surrounding filigree was one hundred.

¹² He who conquers--I will make him a pillar in the Temple of my God; and never more shall he leave it; and I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the City of my God, the New Jerusalem, which is coming down out of Heaven from my God, and I will write on him my new name.
