²¹ "He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings, and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to the discerning.

³ and I've filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and all kinds of craftsmanship

⁶ »I also appointed Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan, to help him. I have given every craftsman the skill necessary to make what I have commanded you:

⁷ The lord makes poor, and he enriches; he humbles, and elevates. ⁸ he raises the poor from the dust; and lifts the needy from the dunghill - to set them among volunteers - to inherit the throne of honor: for the pillars of the earth are unto Yah Veh and on them he set the world.

⁸ Your servant is among your people which you have chosen, a great people, that can't be numbered or counted for multitude. ⁹ So give your servant an understanding mind to govern your people, so I can discern between good and evil. Otherwise, how shall I be able to govern this great people of yours?" ¹⁰ The LORD was pleased that Solomon had asked for this, ¹¹ And God said to him, Because your request is for this thing, and not for long life for yourself or for wealth or for the destruction of your haters, but for wisdom to be a judge of causes; ¹² "I will do what you have asked. I will give you more wisdom and understanding than anyone has ever had. There has never been nor will ever be anyone like you.

²⁸ And when all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had given, they feared the king; for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to exercise justice.

²⁹ God gave Solomon wisdom and exceptional insight, and very great understanding, even as the sand that is on the seashore.

²⁴ All the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

¹² "May the LORD give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

³⁰ Together with all his rule and his power, and the events which took place in his time, in Israel and in all the kingdoms of other lands.

¹⁰ Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of yours?” ¹¹ Then God said to Solomon, "Because this was with your heart and you did not ask for wealth, possessions, honor, and the lives of your enemies, and also did not ask for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge that you might judge my people over whom I have made you king, ¹² Wisdom and knowledge are given to you; and I will give you wealth and honour, such as no king has had before you or ever will have after you. ¹³ The king spoke to the wise men that were experts with knowledge of the times. It was the king's practice.

¹⁸ "He takes off the bonds put on by kings and ties a belt around their waist.

²⁴ He shatters the mighty without investigation, and he sets others in their place. ²⁵ Since he knoweth their actions; and he overthroweth [them] in the night, and they are crushed. ²⁶ He strikes them where the wicked stood, where there are onlookers, ²⁷ Because they turned aside from following him, and would not have regard to any of his ways ²⁸ But they caused the cry of the poor to be brought before Him, So that He heard the cry of the humble. ²⁹ "If he is remains silent, who will condemn him? If he conceals his face, who can see him? He watches over both nation and individual alike,

¹⁴ But I trust in you, LORD. I say, "You are my God." ¹⁵ My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue me.

⁵ Do not lift up your horn on high; do not speak with a stiff neck. ⁶ For not from the east, or from the west, Nor from the wilderness— is elevation. ⁷ God is the Judge; He brings down one and exalts another.

⁷ He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the dunghill ⁸ to seat them with princes, with the princes of his people.

⁶ For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. ⁷ He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

¹⁵ By me kings reign, and rulers make just decrees; ¹⁶ by me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.

¹ There is a season for everything, and a time for every event under heaven: ² a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted; ³ a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build up; ⁴ a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; ⁵ a time to scatter stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ⁶ a time to seek and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to throw away; ⁷ a time to tear, and a time to mend; a time to be silent, and a time to speak; ⁸ a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

⁵ By my great power and outstretched arm I made the earth, mankind, and the animals that are on the face of the earth, and I give it to whomever I see fit. ⁶ "Now I have handed all these countries over to my servant King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. I have even made wild animals serve him. ⁷ And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land comes. And then many nations and great kings shall enslave him.

⁹ "If you do not tell me my dream, the law will apply to you. You are stalling by speaking lies to me until I change my requirements. Tell me the dream, and I will know that you can show me the interpretation of it."

¹⁷ This order is announced by the observers, and the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over human kingdoms and grants them to whomever he desires, and he places the least important of men over them.'

³² You're to be driven away from people. You're to live with the wild animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like cattle, and seven years will pass you by until you realize that the Most High is sovereign over human kingdoms and grants them to whomever he desires.'

²⁵ He'll speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One. He'll attempt to alter times and laws, and they'll be given into his control for a time, times, and half a time.

⁶ And at the end of some years they will make an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make a peace treaty, but she will not retain her position of power, and his offspring will not endure, and she will be given up, she and her attendants and her child supporting her, in those times.

⁵¹ He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their hearts. ⁵² He has brought down rulers from their thrones, but has exalted the humble.

¹⁵ For I will give you speech and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

²¹ Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. ²² After removing Saul, He raised up David as their king and testified about him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart; he will carry out My will in its entirety.’

³⁰ It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.

⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

¹⁷ Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.

¹⁵ Such wisdom does not come from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. ¹⁶ For where there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice. ¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere.

¹⁶ and on his robe and on his thigh he has this name written-- 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.'
