1 I hope you will bear with a little of my foolishness, but you are already doing that.
2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.
3 But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
5 I think that I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles.
6 Though I am no trained orator, yet I am not without knowledge; indeed we made this perfectly clear to you in every way.
7 Was it a sin for me to humble myself in order to exalt you, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?
8 I robbed other churches by accepting support from them in order to serve you.
9 And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so.
10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man in the regions of Achaia shall stop me from this boasting.
11 Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!
12 But I will keep on doing what I am doing, in order to undercut those who want an opportunity to be regarded as our equals in the things they boast about.
13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ.
14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions.
16 I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then receive me as a fool, so that I too may boast a little.
17 In this confident boasting of mine, I am not speaking as the Lord would, but as a fool.
18 Since, many, are boasting after the flesh, I also, will boast;
19 For you gladly tolerate fools, since you are so wise.
20 In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or exalts himself or strikes you in the face.
21 To my shame, I must say that we were too weak for that! But whatever anyone else dares to boast aboutI am speaking as a foolI also dare to boast about.
22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they among Abraham's descendants? So am I.
23 Are they servants of Christ? (I speak as one beside himself.) I am more so: in labors more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, and in deaths often.
24 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one.
25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked. I spent a night and a day in the open sea.
26 I have been on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, in danger from robbers, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles, in danger in the city, in danger in the wilderness, in danger at sea, and in danger from false brethren;
27 in labor and toil and often without sleep, in hunger and thirst and often without food, in cold and exposure.
28 Besides everything else, I have a daily burden because of my anxiety about all the churches.
29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I do not inwardly burn?
30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.
31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who should be praised forever, knows that I am not lying.
32 In Damascus the governor under King Aretas had the city of the Damascenes guarded in order to arrest me,
33 but I was lowered in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped from his hands.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-11
3 Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
5 Do ye not remember, that when I was with you, I told you these things?
6 And now you know what is holding him back, that he may be revealed in his own time.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now restrains it will continue until he is taken out of the way.
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
9 The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous signs, lying wonders,
10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
11 For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie,
1 Timothy 1:3
3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines,
1 Timothy 2:14
14 And it was not Adam who was deceived. It was the woman who was deceived and became a lawbreaker.
1 Timothy 4:1-4
1 Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,
2 through the pretensions of liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron,
3 They forbid people to get married and require them to avoid [eating] certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and [fully] know the truth.
4 For everything God created is good, and nothing should be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
2 Timothy 3:1-9
1 Mark this, there are hard times coming in the last days.
2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 Treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God;
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And turn away from these.
6 They are the kind of people who enter homes and influence [morally] weak-willed women, loaded down with sins, [and] led on by all kinds of evil desires.
7 Ever learning, but never able to acknowledge the truth.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth—men of depraved mind, disqualified as regards the faith—
9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those two men, their stupidity will be plain to everyone.
2 Timothy 3:13
13 while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Hebrews 13:9
9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace and not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those devoted to them.
2 Peter 2:1-14
1 Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies that even deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.
3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; from long ago their condemnation has not been idle, and their destruction has not been asleep.
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
5 if He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, among the eight;
6 if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, reducing them to ashes as an example of what is coming on the ungodly;
7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men
8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—
9 if all this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
10 Such punishment is specially reserved for those who indulge the corrupt desires of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and self-willed, these men are unafraid to slander angelic majesties.
11 Yet even angels, although they are greater in strength and power, do not bring a slanderous accusation against them from the Lord.
12 But these, speaking evil of the things that they do not understand (as natural animals without reason, who are made to be taken and destroyed), shall utterly perish in their own corruption,
13 The harm they will suffer is the wages of their wickedness. They consider it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deception as they feast with you.
14 They have eyes full of adultery, that never cease from sin; they entice unstable souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!
2 Peter 3:3
3 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
2 Peter 3:17
17 Therefore, beloved, since you already know these things, be on your guard not to be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure standing.

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed--men spoken of in ancient writings as pre-destined to this condemnation--ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God into an excuse for immorality, and disown Jesus Christ, our only Sovereign and Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:11
11 For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11
4 There are different gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord.
6 There are different ways of working, but the same God works all things in all men.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who apportions them to each one as He determines.
Galatians 1:6-8
6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you to the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel.
7 which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a divine curse!
Galatians 3:2
2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?

2 Corinthians 12:11-12
Galatians 2:6-9
6 But as for the highly esteemed, whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism. For those leaders added nothing to my message.
7 On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted to preach the gospel to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been to the Jews.
8 For God, who was at work in Peter’s apostleship to the Jews, was also at work in my apostleship to the Gentiles.
9 Peter, and John, who were esteemed to be pillars, perceived the favour that was bestowed on me, they admitted me and Barnabas into fellowship, and agreed, that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the Jews.
1 Corinthians 1:17
17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospelnot with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

11 Therefore, since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is clear to God, and I hope it is clear to your conscience as well.

2 Corinthians 10:10
10 For some say, “His letters are weighty and forceful, but his physical presence is unimpressive, and his speaking is of no account.”
2 Corinthians 12:12
12 The true marks of an apostle—signs, wonders, and miracles—were performed among you with great perseverance.
Ephesians 3:4
4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
2 Peter 3:15-16
15 Consider also that our Lord’s patience brings salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom God gave him.
16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Acts 18:1-3
1 After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.
2 There he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to visit them,
3 and because he was of the same trade--that of tent-maker--he lodged with them and worked with them.

1 Corinthians 4:10-12
10 We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honored, but we are dishonored.
11 To this very hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clad, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.
12 We work hard with our own hands. When we are vilified, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;
1 Corinthians 9:6
6 Or have only I and Barnabas no right not to be working?
1 Corinthians 9:12
12 If others have this right to your support, shouldn’t we have it all the more But we did not exercise this right. Instead, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.
1 Corinthians 9:14-18
14 In the same way, the Lord has prescribed that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.
15 But I have not used any of these rights. And I am not writing this in the hope that you will do such things for me. I would rather die than have anyone deprive me of my ground for boasting.
16 Yet when I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am obligated to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
17 For if I transact this voluntarily, I have a reward: but if involuntarily, an administration is entrusted to me.
18 What then is my reward? That in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not use up my rights in preaching it.
2 Corinthians 10:1
1 Now by the mildness and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you—I, Paul, who am humble when face to face with you, but bold when away.

Philippians 4:14-16
14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.
15 And you know, too, Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I went out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only.
16 For even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent once and again to aid me in my need.
Philippians 4:18
18 I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
Nehemiah 5:15
15 But the former governors that were before me laid burdens upon the people, and took of them for bread and wine above forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants lorded over the people; but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

2 Corinthians 12:13-16
13 In what way were you inferior to the other churches, except that I was not a burden to you? Forgive me this wrong!
14 See, I am ready to come to you a third time, and I will not be a burden, because I am not seeking your possessions, but you yourselves. For children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.
15 And for the sake of your souls, I will most gladly spend my money and myself. If I love you more, will you love me less?

Philippians 4:10-16
10 Now I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.
11 I am not saying this because of lack, since I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
12 I know what it is to be poor, and I know what it is to be rich: I have gone through many things and experienced many things, both to be full and to be hungry, both to have plenty and to be in want.
13 I can do anything through him who gives me strength.

Galatians 6:13-14
Philippians 1:15-30
15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.
16 The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel;
17 The former, however, preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing they can add to the distress of my chains.
18 What, then, is the issue? Only that in every way, whether by false motives or true, Christ is preached. And in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,
19 for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance,
20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have complete boldness, so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 But if I go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. So what shall I choose? I do not know.
23 I am torn between the two. I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better indeed.
24 But it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.
25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,
26 so that through my coming to you again, your exultation in Christ Jesus will resound on account of me.
27 Nevertheless, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending side by side for the faith of the gospel,
28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a clear sign of their destruction but of your salvation, and it is from God.
29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him,
30 since you are encountering the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.

Philippians 3:2
2 Watch out for those dogs, those workers of evil, those mutilators of the flesh!
1 Timothy 1:4-7
4 nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than the divine trainingwhich is by faith.
5 Now the goal of that command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith;
6 Some have strayed from these ways and turned aside to empty talk.
7 They want to be teachers of the Law, but they do not understand what they are saying or that which they so confidently assert.
1 Timothy 4:1-3
1 Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,
2 through the pretensions of liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron,
3 They forbid people to get married and require them to avoid [eating] certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and [fully] know the truth.
1 Timothy 6:3-5
3 If anyone teaches another doctrine and disagrees with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with godly teaching,
4 he is conceited and understands nothing. Instead, he has an unhealthy interest in controversies and semantics, out of which come envy, strife, abusive talk, evil suspicions,
5 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a means of gain.
2 Timothy 2:17-19
17 and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 who have gone astray from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and upset the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless, God's firm foundation stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."
Titus 1:10-11
2 Peter 2:1-3
1 Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies that even deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.
3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; from long ago their condemnation has not been idle, and their destruction has not been asleep.
2 John 1:7-11
7 For many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
8 Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.
9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ does not have God; he who abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
10 If any one comes to you and does not bring this Teaching, do not receive him into your house or welcome him;
11 for he who greets him shares in his wicked work.
Revelation 2:2
2 I know about your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. [I know] that you cannot tolerate wicked men and that you have tested those who call themselves apostles, but really are not, and found them to be liars.

9 I know your tribulation and your poverty, (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Genesis 3:1-5
1 Now the serpent was craftier than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman: "Did God really say, you must not eat from any tree in the garden?"
2 The woman said to the serpent: "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden.
3 '"However, God did say: 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden. You must not touch it, or you will die.'"
4 "You will not die," the serpent said to the woman.
5 "God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened. Then you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
Matthew 4:1-10
1 Then Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the devil.
2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.
3 The tempter came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 But he answered, "It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "
5 Then the devil took him to the Holy City and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
6 “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus replied, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
8 Again the devil took him to a very high mountain, and he showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor,
9 “All this I will give You,” he said, “if You will fall down and worship me.”
10 Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan. For it is written, 'You are to worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"

Jeremiah 23:14-15
14 In the prophets of Jerusalem I have also seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery and walk in lies. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one returns from his wickedness. They have all become to me as Sodom, and its inhabitants as Gomorrah.”
15 Therefore the LORD of Armies says concerning the prophets: “Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink poisoned water; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”
Jeremiah 28:15-17
15 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah, the LORD has not sent you, but you have made this people trust in a lie.
16 Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'I'm about to remove you from the face of the earth. This year you will die because you have preached rebellion against the LORD.'"
17 And Hananiah died the same year in the seventh month.
Jeremiah 29:32
32 therefore the LORD says thus: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his seed. He will not have a man to dwell among this people, nor will he behold the good that I will do to my people, says the LORD, because he has spoken rebellion against the LORD.
Ezekiel 13:10-15
10 Because, yes, because they led my people astray, saying 'Peace!' And there is not peace. And when anyone builds a flimsy wall, look, they coat it with whitewash.
11 »So tell those who plaster it over with whitewash, that it will fall. A flooding rain will come, and you, O hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will break out.
12 And when the wall has come down, will they not say to you, Where is the whitewash which you put on it?
13 "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'In my fury I will cause a storm to break out. In my anger rain will pour down, and hailstones will destroy the wall.
14 '"I will tear down the wall that the prophets covered up with whitewash. I will level it and expose its foundation. When the wall falls, they will be destroyed by it. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'
15 ‘»I will unleash my rage on the wall and on those who covered it up with paint. Then I will say to you: The wall is gone, and so are those who painted it.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
9 The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous signs, lying wonders,
10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
11 For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie,
12 and so that all may be condemned who have not believed the truth but have taken pleasure in wickedness.
2 Peter 2:3
3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; from long ago their condemnation has not been idle, and their destruction has not been asleep.
2 Peter 2:13-22
13 The harm they will suffer is the wages of their wickedness. They consider it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deception as they feast with you.
14 They have eyes full of adultery, that never cease from sin; they entice unstable souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!
15 They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bosor, who loved the wages of wickedness.
16 but he was rebuked for his own transgression by a donkeya beast without speechwho spoke with a man's voice and restrained the prophet's madness.
17 These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them.
18 With lofty but empty words, they appeal to the sensual passions of the flesh and entice the ones who are just escaping from those who live in error.
19 They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves to corruption. For a man is a slave to whatever has overcome him.
20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled by them, and overcome, they are worse off in the end than at the beginning.
21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than to know it and turn their backs on the holy commandment that was committed to them.
22 Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud.”
Jude 1:10-13
10 But these speak abusively against whatever they do not understand, while whatever they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals—by these things they are ruined.
11 Woe to them! They have traveled the path of Cain; they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam; they have perished in Korah’s rebellion.
12 These are breakers at your love-feasts, feasting with you without fear, feeding themselves, clouds without water driven about by winds, autumnal trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots,
13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.

2 The beast I saw looked like a leopard. His feet were like the feet of a bear. His mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.
Revelation 13:14
14 Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived.
Revelation 19:19-21
19 Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army.
20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
21 The rest were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of him who sat on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves upon their bodies.
Revelation 20:2-3
2 He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
3 He threw him into the pit, and closed it and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that time, he must be released for a short while.
Revelation 20:7-10
7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison,
8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to assemble them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the seashore.
9 They came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, and the beloved city. Then fire came down from heaven and consumed them.
10 The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
2 Corinthians 11:1
1 I hope you will bear with a little of my foolishness, but you are already doing that.
2 Corinthians 11:21-23
21 To my shame, I must say that we were too weak for that! But whatever anyone else dares to boast aboutI am speaking as a foolI also dare to boast about.
22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they among Abraham's descendants? So am I.
23 Are they servants of Christ? (I speak as one beside himself.) I am more so: in labors more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, and in deaths often.
2 Corinthians 12:6
6 Even if I wanted to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me,

6 I say this as a concession, not as a command.

2 Corinthians 9:4
4 lest if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, wenot to say anything about you would be ashamed of having been so confident.
2 Corinthians 11:18-27
18 Since, many, are boasting after the flesh, I also, will boast;
26 I have been on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, in danger from robbers, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles, in danger in the city, in danger in the wilderness, in danger at sea, and in danger from false brethren;
27 in labor and toil and often without sleep, in hunger and thirst and often without food, in cold and exposure.
Philippians 3:3-6
3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—
4 though I myself have reasons for confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more:
5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee;
6 as to zeal persecuting the church, as to the righteousness of the Law blameless.
Jeremiah 9:23-24
23 [J] Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom: nor the mighty man boast of his strength; neither let the rich man boast of his riches:
24 but let him who boasts boast in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight," says the LORD.
2 Corinthians 10:12-18
12 We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they show their ignorance.
13 But we will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the field God has apportioned to us, a field that reaches even to you.
14 For we do not stretch ourselves out too far, as if we had not come to you, for we came even to you with the gospel of Christ;
15 So, we will not go beyond our proper limits by boasting of work [already] done by others, but we hope that, as your faith increases, our field of service among you will [also] greatly expand.
16 so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast of work already done in another man's territory.
17 But, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
18 For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
2 Corinthians 12:5-6

17 Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them.

34 Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.
35 A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son belongs to it forever.
36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

3 "I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated under Gamaliel, strictly according to the law of our fathers, being zealous for God just as you all are today.
Romans 4:13-18
13 For not through law was the promise to Abraham, or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if those who live by the Law are heirs, faith is useless and the promise is worthless,
15 because the Law brings wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.
16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
17 As it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations." This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were.
18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.”

Acts 27:1-44
1 When it was decided that we would sail for Italy, Paul and some other prisoners were handed over to a centurion named Julius, who belonged to the Augustan Regiment.
2 We boarded an Adramyttian ship about to sail for ports along the coast of Asia, and we put out to sea. Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica, was with us.
3 The next day we put in at Sidon; and Julius treated Paul kindly, and allowed him to go to his friends and be cared for.
4 And from there we put out to sea and sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were against us.
5 When we had sailed across the open sea off the coast of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we landed at Myra in Lycia.
6 There the centurion found an Alexandrian ship sailing for Italy, and he put us on board.
7 We sailed slowly for many days and had problems arriving off Cnidus. The wind did not allow us to hold our course. So we sailed to the downwind part of Crete near Salmone.
8 After we had moved along the coast with difficulty, we came to a place called Fair Havens, near the town of Lasea.
9 By now much time had passed, and the voyage had already become dangerous because it was after the Fast. So Paul advised them,
10 “Men, I can see that our voyage will be filled with disaster and great loss, not only to ship and cargo, but to our own lives as well.”
11 But contrary to Paul’s advice, the centurion was persuaded by the pilot and the owner of the ship.
12 Since the harbor was unsuitable to winter in, the majority decided to sail on, if somehow they could reach Phoenix to winter there. Phoenix was a harbor in Crete facing both southwest and northwest.
13 When a gentle south wind began to blow, they thought they had their opportunity. So they weighed anchor and sailed along, hugging the coast of Crete.
14 But it was not long before a violent wind (called a northeaster) swept down from the island.
15 Well the ship was caught and could not head into the wind, so we gave up and were driven along.
16 Passing to the lee of a small island called Cauda, we barely managed to secure the lifeboat.
17 After they had hoisted it up, they used cables to help reinforce the ship. Fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis, they lowered the sea anchor, and so were driven along.
18 So violently were we tossed about by the storm, that the next day they began throwing the cargo overboard,
19 On the third day, they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands.
20 When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the great storm continued to batter us, we abandoned all hope of being saved.
21 After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have followed my advice not to sail from Crete. Then you would have averted this disaster and loss.
22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because you will not experience any loss of life, but only of the ship.
23 This night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood by me
24 and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And look, God has granted you the lives of all who sail with you.’
25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen exactly as I have been told.
26 However, we must run aground on some island.”
27 On the fourteenth night we were still being driven across the Adriatic Sea. About midnight the sailors sensed they were approaching land.
28 After taking soundings, they found the depth to be twenty fathoms. A little later they took soundings again and found it was fifteen fathoms.
29 Fearing that we would run aground on the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for daybreak.
30 The sailors tried to escape from the ship. They had even lowered the boat into the sea, pretending they were going to layout anchors from the bow,
31 but Paul said to the Centurion and the soldiers, "Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved."
32 Then the soldiers cut the ropes that held the boat and let it drift away.
33 Just before daybreak Paul begged them all to take some food. "For fourteen days," he said, "you have been on the watch all the time, without a proper meal.
34 So I urge you to eat something, for it will help you survive, since none of you will lose so much as a hair from his head."
35 After he had said this, Paul took bread and gave thanks to God in front of them all. Then he broke it and began to eat.
36 They were all encouraged and took some food themselves.
37 There were 276 of us on the ship.
38 When they had eaten enough, they began to lighten the ship by throwing the wheat into the sea.
39 When daylight came, they did not recognize the land, but they sighted a bay with a sandy beach, where they decided to run the ship aground if they could.
40 Cutting away the anchors, they left them in the sea as they loosened the ropes that held the rudders. Then they hoisted the foresail to the wind and made for the beach.
41 But the vessel struck a sandbar and ran aground. The bow stuck fast and would not move, and the stern was being tattered by the pounding of the waves.
42 The soldiers' planned to kill the prisoners to prevent any from swimming away and escaping.
43 but the centurion wanted to save Paul, so he prevented them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to land.
44 The rest were to follow, some on planks and others on various pieces of the ship. In this way everyone got to shore safely.
Acts 9:23-30
23 After many days had passed, the Jews conspired to kill him,
24 but Saul learned of their plot. Day and night they watched the city gates in order to kill him.
25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down in a basket through an opening in the wall.
26 When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and told them how he had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken to him: and how in Damascus he had dealt confidently in the name of Jesus.
28 So Saul stayed with them, moving about freely in Jerusalem and speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.
29 He talked and debated with the Grecian Jews, but they tried to kill him.
30 When the brothers learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.
Acts 11:25-26
Acts 13:1-14
1 Now in the church that was at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul, for the work to which I have called them."
3 So after they had fasted and prayed, they laid their hands on them and sent them off.
4 Being sent out in this way by the holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.
5 When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. And John was with them as their helper.
6 They traveled through the whole island as far as Paphos, where they found a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,
7 an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, a man of intelligence, summoned Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith.
9 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked directly at Elymas
10 and said, “O child of the devil and enemy of all righteousness! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the straight ways of the Lord?
11 Now look, the hand of the Lord is against you, and for a time you will be blind and unable to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.
12 When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was astonished at the teaching about the Lord.
13 After setting sail from Paphos, Paul and his companions came to Perga in Pamphylia, where John left them to return to Jerusalem.
14 but they passed on from Perga and arrived at Pisidian Antioch. On the sabbath they went into the synagogue and sat down;
Acts 13:50
50 But the Jews incited the devout women of high standing and the leading men of the city, and stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district.
Acts 15:2-4
2 So Paul and Barnabas engaged these men in sharp debate. The two of them were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.
3 The church saw them off upon their journey, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria they told of the conversion of the heathen, and caused great rejoicing among all the brothers.
4 When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.

Acts 18:18-23
18 Paul still remained there a good while, then took leave of the brothers and sailed for Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila (he had shaved his head in Cenchrea, because he had a vow).
19 They came to Ephesus and Paul left his companions there. He himself went into the synagogue and debated with the Jews.
20 When they asked him to stay for a while longer, he declined.
21 But as he left, he said, “I will come back to you again if God is willing.” And he set sail from Ephesus.
22 When he had landed at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church, and then went down to Antioch.
23 After spending some time there, he departed and went from place to place through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

Acts 21:27-31
27 When the seven days were almost over, some Jews from the province of Asia saw Paul at the temple. They stirred up the whole crowd and seized him,
28 crying, Men of Israel, help; this is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place, and besides he has brought Greeks into the temple, and defiled this holy place.
29 For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.
30 And the whole city was moved, and the people ran together; and laying hold on Paul, they dragged him out of the temple: and immediately the gates were shut.
31 As they were trying to kill him, news came to the commander of the garrison that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
Acts 23:10
10 The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them and ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force, and bring him into the barracks.
Acts 23:12-22
12 When daylight came, the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.
13 More than forty of them were involved in this plot.
14 They went to the high priests and elders and said, "We have taken a solemn oath not to taste any food before we have killed Paul.
15 Now then, you and the Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him down to you on the pretext of examining his case more carefully. We are ready to kill him on the way.”
16 But when the son of Paul’s sister heard about the ambush, he went into the barracks and told Paul.
17 Then Paul called one of the centurions and said, “Take this young man to the commander; he has something to tell him.”
18 So he took him and brought him to the commander and said, “Paul the prisoner called me over and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you”.
19 The commander took the young man by the hand, drew him aside, and asked, “What do you need to tell me?”
20 He answered, “The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul to the Sanhedrin tomorrow, on the pretext of acquiring more information about him.
21 Don't believe them, because more than 40 of them are planning to ambush him. They have taken an oath not to eat or drink before they have killed him. They are ready now, just waiting for your consent."
22 So the commander dismissed the young man and instructed him, “Do not tell anyone that you have reported this to me.”

25 Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem to serve the saints there.
26 For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.
27 They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual blessings, they are obligated to minister to them with material blessings.
28 Therefore, when I have completed this, and have made certain they have received this fruit, I will come visit you on my way to Spain.

7 On the first day of the week, when we had met to break bread, Paul began to address the people. Since he intended to leave the next day, he went on speaking until midnight.
8 Now there were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting.
9 And a certain young man named Eutychus, seated by the window, was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell from the third story and was picked up dead.
10 But Paul went down, threw himself upon him, and put his arms round him. "Do not be alarmed," he said, "he is still alive."
11 Then Paul went back upstairs, broke bread, and ate. After speaking until daybreak, he departed.

18 When they came to him, he said, “You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I arrived in the province of Asia.
19 I served the Lord with great humility and with tears, and in the trials I faced through the plots of the Jews.
20 You know how I did not hesitate to declare to you anything that was helpful, and taught you in public, and from house to house,
21 I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance to God and faith in our Lord Jesus.
22 And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.
23 I only know that in town after town the Holy Spirit warns me that chains and afflictions await me.
24 But I consider my life of no value to myself, if only I may finish my course and complete the ministry I have received from the Lord Jesus—the ministry of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
25 And now I know that none of you among whom I went about preaching the kingdom will ever see my face again.
26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
27 For I did not hesitate to declare to you the whole counsel of God.
28 Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.
29 I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.
30 Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them.
31 Therefore be alert and remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.
32 And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified.
33 I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.
Romans 1:14
14 I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.
Romans 11:13
13 For I speak to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry:
Romans 15:16
16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an acceptable offering to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 16:4
4 who have risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.
1 Corinthians 7:17
17 Regardless, each one should lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him and to which God has called him. This is what I prescribe in all the churches.
Colossians 2:1
1 I want you to know how much I am struggling for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me face to face,
Numbers 25:6-11
6 One of the Israelite men brought a Midianite woman to his brothers. He did this right in front of Moses and the entire congregation of Israel while they were crying at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
7 Phinehas, son of Eleazar and grandson of the priest Aaron, saw this. He left the assembly and grabbed a spear in his hand.
8 and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel and the woman through her belly. So the plague of the sons of Israel was stayed.
9 - and they who die in the plague, twenty-four thousand.
10 And the Lord said to Moses:
11 Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned My wrath away from the sons of Israel while he was zealous for My sake among them, so that I did not destroy the sons of Israel in My jealousy.
Ezra 9:1-3
1 After these things were done, the captains came to me and said: "The people of Israel and the priests and Levites have not kept themselves separate from the people of the lands. They have taken part in the disgusting ways of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
2 "They have taken their daughters as wives for themselves and for their sons. They have mingled the holy race with peoples around them. In fact the leaders and officials were first to do this evil."
3 When I heard this I tore my garment and my robe, and I pulled the hair out from my head and beard, and I sat appalled.
Nehemiah 5:6-13
6 And when I heard their cry, and these words, I was very angry.
7 I thought over this in my heart, and then I quarreled with the nobles and the prefects. I said to them, "You yourselves are taking interest from your own brother!" So I called the great assembly against them,
8 And I said to them, We after our ability have redeemed our brothers the Jews, which were sold to the heathen; and will you even sell your brothers? or shall they be sold to us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.
9 So I said, "What you're doing isn't right! Shouldn't you live in the fear of our God to avoid shame from our foreign enemies?
10 Also, I and my brothers and my servants are lending them money and grain. Please stop taking this interest.
11 So today please restore to them their fields, vineyards, olive orchards, and homes, along with the one percent interest charge that you've assessed them on the grain, wine, and oil."
12 So they said, "We will restore it and will not request anything more. So we will do as you say." Then I called the priests and made them take an oath to do this promise.
13 Shaking out the folds of my robe, I said: "So, may God send out from his house and his work every man who does not keep this agreement. Even so let him be sent out and made as nothing." All the people said: "Amen!" They praised the LORD. The people did as they said.
Nehemiah 13:15-20
15 In those days, saw I in Judah—some treading winepresses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves and lading asses, moreover also wine, grapes, and figs, and every kind of burden, which they were bringing into Jerusalem on the sabbath day,—so I protested against it, as a day for them to sell provisions.
16 Furthermore, Tyrians were living there who were importing fish and all kinds of merchandise, selling them to the people of Judah on the Sabbath, even in Jerusalem.
17 And I rebuked the chief men of Juda, and said to them: What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the sabbath day:
18 Did not our fathers do these things, and our God brought all this evil upon us, and upon this city? And you bring more wrath upon Israel by violating the sabbath.
19 When the streets of Jerusalem were getting dark before the Sabbath, I gave orders for the gate to be shut and not to be open again until after the Sabbath. I put some of my servants by the gate so that nothing might be taken in on the Sabbath day.
20 And the merchants and sellers of all kinds of goods stayed the night outside Jerusalem once or twice.
Nehemiah 13:23-25
23 Also in those days I saw Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab.
24 and their children spoke half in the language of Ashdod, and did not know how to speak in the Jewish language.
25 So I quarreled with them and cursed them and beat some of their men and pulled out their hair. I made them take an oath by God: "Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves.
John 2:17
17 His disciples remembered that it is written, "Zeal for your house will consume me."
Romans 12:15
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.
Romans 15:1
1 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
1 Corinthians 5:1-5
1 It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: a man has his father's wife.
2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been stricken with grief and removed from your fellowship the man who did this?
3 Although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present.
4 When you are gathered in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, along with the power of the Lord Jesus,
5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 6:5-7
5 I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no man among you wise enough to decide between his brethren,
6 Instead, one brother goes to law against another, and this in front of unbelievers!
7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you are thoroughly defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?
1 Corinthians 6:15-18
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!
16 Or don’t you know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”
17 But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit.
18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
1 Corinthians 8:13
13 Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to stumble.
1 Corinthians 9:22
22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men, so that by all possible means I might save some of them.
1 Corinthians 11:22
22 What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? No, I will not.
1 Corinthians 12:26
26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
1 Corinthians 15:12-34
12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.
14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is worthless, and so is your faith.
15 In that case, we are also exposed as false witnesses about God. For we have testified about God that He raised Christ from the dead, but He did not raise Him if in fact the dead are not raised.
16 For if the dead are not raised, Christ has not been raised either.
17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.
18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.
19 If only in this life we are having hope in Christ, we are more to be pitied than all men.
20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
23 But each in his own turn: Christ the firstfruits; then at His coming, those who belong to Him.
24 Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power.
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
27 For “God has put everything under His feet.” Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him.
28 And when all things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all.
29 If these things are not so, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them?
30 And why do we endanger ourselves every hour?
31 I face death every day, brothers, as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord.
32 If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus for merely human reasons, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."
33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
34 Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
1 Corinthians 15:36
36 You fool! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.
2 Corinthians 2:4-5
2 Corinthians 7:5-6
2 Corinthians 13:9
9 In fact, we rejoice when we are weak but you are strong, and our prayer is for your perfection.
Galatians 1:7-10
7 which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a divine curse!
9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed!
10 Am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Galatians 2:4-6
4 This issue arose because some false brothers were brought in under false pretenses to spy on our freedom in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us.
5 We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.
6 But as for the highly esteemed, whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism. For those leaders added nothing to my message.
Galatians 2:14
14 When I saw that they were not walking in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, “If you, who are a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?
Galatians 3:1-3
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.
2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now trying to be made complete by the flesh?
Galatians 4:8-20
8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.
9 But now that you know God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you are turning back to those weak and worthless principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?
10 You are observing special days and months and seasons and years!
11 I fear for you, lest somehow I have vainly labored toward you.
12 I beg you, brothers, become like me, for I became like you. You have done me no wrong.
13 You know that it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you.
14 And although my illness was a trial to you, you did not despise me or reject me. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself.
15 What then has become of your blessing? For I can testify that, if it were possible, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me.
16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?
17 Those people are zealous for you, but not in a good way. Instead, they want to isolate you from us, so that you will be zealous for them.
18 It is good to be zealous for a good object always, and not only when I am present with you.
19 My children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you,
20 how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you.
Galatians 5:2-4
2 Take notice: I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.
3 Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole Law.
4 You who are trying to be justified by the Law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
Galatians 6:2
2 Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the Law of Christ.
1 Thessalonians 3:5-8
5 For this reason, when I could endure it no longer, I also sent to find out about your faith, for fear that the tempter might have tempted you, and our labor would be in vain.
6 But Timothy has just now returned from visiting you and has told us the good news about your faith and love. He also told us that you always have fond memories of us and want to see us, just as we want to see you.
7 So, brothers, through all of our distress and persecution, we were encouraged over you because of your faith,
8 for now I can really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.
Jude 1:3-4
3 Beloved, although I made every effort to write you about the salvation we share, I felt it necessary to write and urge you to contend earnestly for the faith entrusted once for all to the saints.
4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed--men spoken of in ancient writings as pre-destined to this condemnation--ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God into an excuse for immorality, and disown Jesus Christ, our only Sovereign and Lord.
Revelation 3:15-18
15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I wish you were either cold or hot.
16 So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of My mouth!
17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have grown wealthy and need nothing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.
18 I advise you to buy of me gold that has been refined in the fire, so that you may become rich, and white clothes to put on, to hide your shameful nakedness, and salve to put on your eyes, to make you see.

27 It is not good to eat much honey; nor is it honorable to seek one's own honor.

2 Corinthians 11:16-18
2 Corinthians 12:1
1 I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to gain, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord.
2 Corinthians 12:5-11
5 I will boast about such a man, but I will not boast about myself, except in my weaknesses.
6 Even if I wanted to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me,
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me.
8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.
9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I am content in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
11 I have been a fool! You forced me to it, for I ought to have been commended by you. For I was not in the least inferior to these super-apostles, even though I am nothing.
Nehemiah 9:5
5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God from everlasting to everlasting! Blessed be Your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise!

26 I have been on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, in danger from robbers, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles, in danger in the city, in danger in the wilderness, in danger at sea, and in danger from false brethren;
