² To see your power and your glory, so as I have seen you in the sanctuary.

¹⁸ And he said, I plead to you, show me your glory. ¹⁹ And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

²¹ And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. ²² And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.

¹¹ Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

⁴ One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

²⁴ They have seen your activities, O God; even the activities of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

¹⁷ Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. ¹⁸ Surely you did set them in slippery places: you casted them down into destruction.

¹³ Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? ¹⁴ You are the God that do wonders: you have declared your strength among the people.

⁶¹ And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy's hand.

² My soul longs, yea, even faints for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh cries out for the living God. ³ Yea, the sparrow has found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. ⁴ Blessed are they that dwell in your house: they will be still praising you. Selah. ⁵ Blessed is the man whose strength is in you; in whose heart are the ways of them. ⁶ Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also fills the pools. ⁷ They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appears before God. ⁸ O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah. ⁹ Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of your anointed. ¹⁰ For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. ¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

⁶ Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

⁴ Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

² Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

¹¹ They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk of your power;

¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come unto you, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

⁴ In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. ⁵ For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. ⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
