⁹ O Israel, trust you in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

⁵ Now therefore, if all of you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then all of you shall be an exclusive treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

²⁹ Happy are you, O Israel: who is like unto you, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, and who is the sword of your excellency! and your enemies shall be found liars unto you; and you shall tread upon their high places.

²⁰ Our soul waits for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. ²¹ For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

³ Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed.

⁸ Trust in him at all times; all of you people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

² Let Israel now say, that his mercy endures for ever. ³ Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endures for ever. ⁴ Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endures for ever.

¹ They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides for ever.

⁷ Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is abundant redemption.

¹⁹ Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron: ²⁰ Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: all of you that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

⁵ Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: ⁶ Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keeps truth for ever:

⁵ Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

¹⁷ Be not a terror unto me: you are my hope in the day of evil. ¹⁸ Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

¹² That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
