¹⁵ The Lord then answered him, and said, You hypocrite, does not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

³⁰ That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

⁹ An hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

²⁰ For the terrible one is brought to nothing, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

⁵ You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the splinter out of your brother's eye.

⁷ All of you hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,

¹⁴ Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

¹³ But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for all of you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for all of you neither go in yourselves, neither suffer all of you them that are entering to go in.

²⁸ Even so all of you also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within all of you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

⁴² Either how can you say to your brother, Brother, let me pull out the splinter that is in your eye, when you yourself behold not the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of your own eye, and then shall you see clearly to pull out the splinter that is in your brother's eye.

¹ In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware all of you of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

⁵ And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not immediately pull him out on the sabbath day?

²¹ Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and all of you all marvel. ²² Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and all of you on the sabbath day circumcise a man. ²³ If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are all of you angry at me, because I have made a man everything whole on the sabbath day? ²⁴ Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

²⁰ But Peter said unto him, Your money perish with you, because you have thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. ²¹ You have neither part nor lot in this matter: (o. logos) for your heart is not right in the sight of God. ²² Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. ²³ For I perceive that you are in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

⁹ Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) set his eyes on him. ¹⁰ And said, O full of all subtlety and all mischief, you child of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
