⁴⁰ Be all of you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when all of you think not.

⁴² Watch therefore: for all of you know not what hour your Lord does come.

⁴⁴ Therefore be all of you also ready: for in such an hour as all of you think not the Son of man comes.

¹³ Watch therefore, for all of you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.

³³ Take all of you heed, watch and pray: for all of you know not when the time is. ³⁴ For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the gate keeper to watch. ³⁵ Watch all of you therefore: for all of you know not when the master of the house comes, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: ³⁶ Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

³⁴ And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with worldly excess, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unexpectedly. ³⁵ For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. ³⁶ Watch all of you therefore, and pray always, that all of you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

¹¹ And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

¹⁴ But put all of you on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

⁶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

¹² Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? ¹³ Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness. ¹⁴ Wherefore, beloved, seeing that all of you look for such things, be diligent that all of you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

⁷ Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready.
