⁴ I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work.

¹⁰ Whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, where you go.

¹⁸ For the grave cannot praise you, death can not celebrate you: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for your truth. ¹⁹ The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known your truth.

³² And he said unto them, Go all of you, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. ³³ Nevertheless I must walk to day, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem. ³⁴ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kill the prophets, and stone them that are sent unto you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen does gather her brood under her wings, and all of you would not!

³⁴ Jesus says unto them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

¹⁹ Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things whatsoever he does, these also does the Son likewise.

³⁶ But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.

³² Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do all of you stone me?

³⁷ If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

⁹ Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this world. ¹⁰ But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light in him.

³⁵ Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while all of you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes.

⁴ I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.

²⁰ For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

¹⁰ As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

¹⁶ Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
