³⁰ If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;

⁷ If my step has turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot has cleaved to mine hands;

⁶ I will wash mine hands in innocence: so will I compass your altar, O LORD:

¹³ He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.

¹⁶ Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; ¹⁷ Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. ¹⁸ Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

²² For though you wash you with alkali, and take you much soap, yet your iniquity is marked before me, says the Lord GOD.

¹⁴ O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?

³ For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
