⁵ Is not your wickedness great? and your iniquities infinite?

⁷ Remember, I pray you, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off? ⁸ Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same. ⁹ By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed. ¹⁰ The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken. ¹¹ The old lion perishes for lack of prey, and the stout lion's whelps are scattered abroad.

⁶ And that he would show you the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.

¹⁴ If iniquity be in your hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in your tabernacles.

⁵ For your mouth utters your iniquity, and you choose the tongue of the crafty. ⁶ your own mouth condemns you, and not I: yea, your own lips testify against you.

³¹ Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence. ³² It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green. ³³ He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive. ³⁴ For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

²⁷ Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which all of you wrongfully imagine against me.

³ Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

¹² Who can understand his errors? cleanse you me from secret faults.

¹² For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart fails me.
