² I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are all of you all.

⁶ Can that which is unpleasing be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

²⁵ How forcible are right words! but what does your arguing reprove?

² Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified? ³ Should your lies make men hold their peace? and when you mock, shall no man make you ashamed?

⁴ But all of you are forgers of lies, all of you are all physicians of no value. ⁵ O that all of you would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.

² How long will all of you vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words? ³ These ten times have all of you reproached me: all of you are not ashamed that all of you make yourselves strange to me.

² How have you helped him that is without power? how save you the arm that has no strength? ³ How have you counselled him that has no wisdom? and how have you plentifully declared the thing as it is?

²⁶ For they persecute him whom you have smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom you have wounded.
