³⁶ For all of you have need of patience, that, after all of you have done the will of God, all of you might receive the promise.

⁷ Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

¹ I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

²¹ Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

²² And all of you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved.

⁵⁰ For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

³¹ Whether of them two did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus says unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

¹³ But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

¹⁵ But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, (o. logos) keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

¹⁹ In your patience possess all of you your souls.

¹⁷ If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

²² And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will.

³⁶ For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

⁷ To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

³ And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; ⁴ And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

²⁵ But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be all of you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that all of you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

⁴ For whatsoever things were written in old times were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. ⁵ Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

⁷ Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

⁹ And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

⁶ Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

¹¹ Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

²⁴ Knowing that of the Lord all of you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for all of you serve the Lord Christ.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that all of you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

³ Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, (o. agape) and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

¹² That all of you be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

¹⁵ And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

¹⁷ Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

¹⁵ And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

¹ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

²¹ Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

³ Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. ⁴ But let patience have her perfect work, that all of you may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing.

⁷ Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. ⁸ Be all of you also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws nigh. ⁹ Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest all of you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door. ¹⁰ Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. ¹¹ Behold, we count them happy which endure. All of you have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

⁹ Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

¹⁷ And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides for ever.

¹⁰ He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

¹² Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
