⁶ Therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will prepare you unto blood, and blood shall pursue you: since you have not hated blood, even blood shall pursue you.

¹⁶ Because that he remembered not to show mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart. ¹⁷ As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

² Wherefore are you red in your apparel, and your garments like him that treads in the winepress? ³ I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. ⁴ For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed has come. ⁵ And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. ⁶ And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.

¹⁵ For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as you have done, it shall be done unto you: your reward shall return upon your own head.

² For with what judgment all of you judge, all of you shall be judged: and with what measure all of you mete, it shall be measured to you again.

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters say, You are righteous, O Lord, which are, and were, and shall be, because you have judged thus. ⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. ⁷ And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.

⁶ Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled fill to her double.

²⁴ And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

² For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. ³ And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
