²⁸ But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

²⁷ What I tell you in darkness, that speak all of you in light: and what all of you hear in the ear, that preach all of you upon the housetops.

⁴⁰ And he comes unto the disciples, and finds them asleep, and says unto Peter, What, could all of you not watch with me one hour? ⁴¹ Watch and pray, that all of you enter not into temptation: the spirit (o. pneuma) indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

⁹ On the next day, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

⁶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

⁷ But the end of all things is at hand: be all of you therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

¹⁶ For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
