¹² Now we have received, not the spirit (o. pneuma) of the world, but the spirit (o. pneuma) which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

¹⁴ He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.

¹ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (o. pneuma)

⁵ For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit (o. pneuma) the things of the Spirit. (o. pneuma) ⁶ In order to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually (o. pneuma) minded is life and peace.

¹⁵ For all of you have not received the spirit (o. pneuma) of bondage again to fear; but all of you have received the Spirit (o. pneuma) of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ¹⁶ The Spirit (o. pneuma) itself bears witness with our spirit, (o. pneuma) that we are the children of God:

³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

²⁷ But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

⁶ Nevertheless we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nothing:

²² Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;

⁴ In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

² Wherein in time past all of you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit (o. pneuma) that now works in the children of disobedience:

⁵ Do all of you think that the scripture says in vain, The spirit (o. pneuma) that dwells in us lusts to envy?

²⁰ But all of you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know all things.

²⁷ But the anointing which all of you have received of him abides in you, and all of you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, all of you shall abide in him.

⁴ All of you are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. ⁵ They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them.

¹⁹ And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness. ²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

⁶ And he said unto me, These sayings (o. logos) are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
