¹⁰ For godly sorowe causeth repentaunce vnto salvacion not to be repented of: when worldly sorow causeth deeth.

⁸ And they put on sackcloth both man ad beest and cried vn to God mightily ad turned euery man from his weked waye and fro doenge wroge in which they were acustomed sayenge:

¹⁰ And when god saw theyr workes how they turned from theyr weked wayes he repented on ye euell which he sayd he wold doo vn to them ad dyd it not.

²⁸ What saye ye to this? But the publicans and the harlotes beleved him. And yet ye (though ye sawe it) were not yet moved with repentaunce that ye myght afterwarde have beleved hym.

⁷⁵ And Peter remembred the wordes of Iesu which sayde vnto him: before the cocke crowe thou shalt deny me thryse: and went out at the dores and wepte bitterly.

⁴ sayinge: I have synned betrayinge the innocent bloud. And they sayde: what is that to vs? Se thou to that. ⁵ And he cast doune the sylver plattes in the temple and departed and went and hounge him sylfe.

¹⁰ Lykwyse I saye vnto you ioye is made in ye presence of ye angels of god over one synner yt repenteth.

¹³ And the publican stode afarre of and wolde not lyfte vp his eyes to heven but smote his brest sayinge: God be mercyfull to me a synner.

¹⁹ Repent ye therfore and turne yt youre synnes maye be done awaye when the tyme of refresshinge commeth which we shall have of the presence of the Lorde

¹⁸ when they hearde this they helde their peace and gloryfied God sayinge: then hath God also to the gentyls graunted repentaunce vnto lyfe.

²¹ I feare lest when I come agayne God brynge me lowe amoge you and I be constrayned to bewayle many of the which have synned all redy and have not repented of the vnclennes fornicacion and wantanes which they haue committed.

²⁵ the evyll in meknes and can informe them that resist yf that god at eny tyme will geve them repentauce for to knowe the trueth: ²⁶ that they maye come to the selves agayne out of the snare of the devyll which are now taken of him at his will.

¹⁷ Ye knowe how that afterwarde when he wolde have inherited the blessinge he was put by and he foude no meanes to come therby agayne: no though he desyred it with teares.
