²⁰ And the beast was taken and with him the false prophet who did these signs before him by which he led astray them who had received the mark of the beast, and them who worshipped his image. Both these were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone;

²⁴ and the Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorra brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven.

²³ brimstone and burnt salt; when through the whole land there shall be no sowing; no natural productions, no verdure on it, a destruction like that of Sodom and Gomorra, Adama and Seboim, which the Lord overthrew with wrath and indignation;

¹⁵ It will make its abode in his tent; in his night all his finery will be strewed with sulphur.

⁶ Upon the wicked he will rain snares. Fire and brimstone and a tempestuous wind, shall be the portion of their cup.

³³ Of thee he will previously demand [and hast thou not provided for his reign] a deep valley and wood laid up in piles; the wrath of the Lord will be fire and wood in abundance like a valley burning with brimstone.

⁹ and its torrents shall be turned into pitch, and its land into sulphur. And its land shall be like pitch burning day and night,

²² And I will execute judgment on him, with pestilence and blood and with tempests of rain and hailstones; and I will rain down fire and brimstone on him, and on all with him, even on the many nations with him.

⁴⁰ then a fourth kingdom which shall be strong as iron. As iron breaketh to pieces and subdueth all things, so shall it break and subdue all. ⁴¹ And inasmuch as thou sawest the feet and toes, partly of clay and partly of iron, it shall be a disjointed kingdom, though there shall be in it some of its iron root. As thou sawest the iron mixed with the clay; ⁴² and the toes of the feet were part iron, and part clay, some part of that kingdom will be strong and some part of it will be broken. ⁴³ Inasmuch as thou sawest the iron mingled with the clay, there will be mixtures in it, of the seed of men, and they will not cement one with another, as iron cloth not cement with clay. ⁴⁴ And in the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and this kingdom of his shall not be left to another people. It shall break in pieces, and blow away all those kingdoms and shall itself stand forever. ⁴⁵ As thou sawest that without hands there was cut from a mountain a stone, which broke in pieces the clay, the iron, the brass, the silver, the gold; the God who is great, hath made known to the king what must come to pass hereafter. The dream indeed is true and the interpretation thereof is faithful.

⁷ After this I beheld, and lo! a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong and its teeth of iron! It devoured and brake in pieces! and the residue it trampled with its feet. Now this was far different from all the beasts which were before it and it had ten horns. ⁸ I attended to its horns, and behold another little horn sprouted up in the midst of them; and three of the horns which were before it were rooted out from before it. And behold in this horn there were eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things. ⁹ And I beheld till the thrones were set and an ancient of days was seated, and his garment was white as snow and the hair of his head was like pure wool. His throne was a flame of fire and his wheels a blazing fire. ¹⁰ A river of fire rolled before him. Thousands of thousands ministered to him and myriads of myriads waited on him. The court sat and books were opened. ¹¹ I looked then because of the sound of the great words which that horn had spoken, until the beast was slain and destroyed and its body given to be burned with fire. ¹² And the government of the rest of the beasts was changed and a length of time given them until a time and a time. ¹³ And I beheld in the vision of the night, and lo! with the clouds of heaven one like a son of man coming! And he advanced to the Ancient of days and was introduced to him. ¹⁴ And to him was given the government and the honour and the kingdom; and all the peoples, tribes and languages are to serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall never pass away, and his kingdom shall not be destroyed.

¹⁹ Then I inquired particularly concerning the fourth beast, because it was different from every beast, exceedingly dreadful. Its teeth were of iron and its claws of brass. It devoured and brake in pieces and the residue it trampled with its feet. ²⁰ And concerning the ten horns, which were on its head, and that other, which sprouted up and shook off some of the first; and which had eyes and a mouth speaking great things and the appearance of which was greater than the rest, ²¹ I beheld and that horn made war on the holy ones and prevailed against them

²³ And he said, With regard to the fourth beast, there shall be a fourth kingdom on the earth which shall surpass all the kingdoms and devour all the earth and trample down and cut to pieces. ²⁴ And its ten horns denote that ten kingdoms shall be raised up; and after them another shall be raised up which shall exceed in evils all those before and shall humble three kings ²⁵ and shall speak words against the Most High and wear out the holy ones of the Most High and think of changing times and law, and his shall be put in its power for a time and times and the half of a time. ²⁶ When the court hath sat they will change this government to abolish and destroy it utterly.

²⁴ and his power will be great, and he will destroy things which are objects of admiration and will prosper and act and destroy mighty men, and a holy people.

²⁶ Now the vision of the evening and the morning, which was mentioned is true. Seal thou therefore the vision, for it is for many days.

⁴⁵ and he will pitch his tent at Ephadanus between the seas on the holy mountain Sabaim. Then he will come to his portion, and there is none to deliver him.

⁸ then will be revealed that lawless one, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of his mouth. With the brightness of his coming he will indeed put a stop to the operations ⁹ of him, whose coming is according to the energy of satan, with' all the power, and signs, and wonders of falsehood, ¹⁰ and with all the deceit of this unrighteousness among them who perish. Because they did not embrace the love of the truth that they might be saved; ¹¹ for this cause therefore God will send them the energy of delusion, that they may believe this falsehood;

¹ And I was placed on the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast coming up out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns, and on its horns ten crowns, and on its heads a name of blasphemy. ² And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave it his power and his throne and great authority. ³ And I saw one of its heads as if wounded to death; and this deadly wound of it was healed; and the whole earth followed this beast with admiration. ⁴ And they worshipped the dragon who had given the beast authority; and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like this beast? Who is able to fight with it?" ⁵ And to it was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies. And power was given it to make war forty-two months. ⁶ And it opened its mouth for blasphemy against God, to slander his name and his tabernacle and them, who dwell in heaven. ⁷ And power was given it to make war against the saints and to conquer them; and authority was given it over every tribe and tongue and nation; ⁸ and it is to be worshipped by all the inhabitants of the earth whose names are not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain.

¹¹ And I saw another wild beast coming up out of the earth; and it had two horns like a lamb; and it spake like a dragon; ¹² and it executeth all the authority of the first beast in its presence and causeth the earth and its inhabitants to worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed. ¹³ And it performeth great signs so as to cause fire to come down out of heaven on the earth, in the sight of men; ¹⁴ and it leadeth astray the dwellers on the earth by the signs which it had power to do in the presence of the beast; commanding the inhabitants of die earth to make an image of the beast which had the wound of a sword and lived. ¹⁵ And power was granted to it to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might speak and cause all to be slain who would not worship the image of the beast. ¹⁶ And it causeth all both little and great, both rich and poor, both freemen and slaves to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, ¹⁷ and that none should buy or sell, but he who hath the mark, or the name of the beast or the number of its name. ¹⁸ Here is wisdom. Let him who hath understanding calculate the number of the beast; for its number is that of a man and its number is 666.

¹⁰ he shall drink the venomous wine of God which is mixed up unadulterated in the cup of his indignation, and shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

¹³ And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ For these are spirits of demons making signs which go forth to the kings of the earth and the whole world, to gather them together to the battle of the great day of God the Almighty.

³ And he carried me away in spirit to a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast full of blasphemous names, which had seven heads and ten horns. ⁴ And the woman was clad in purple and scarlet and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls; and she had in her hand a golden cup full of the abominations and impurity of her fornication; ⁵ and on her forehead there was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, the mother of the harlots and the abominations of the earth. ⁶ And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus; and when I saw her I expressed my astonishment with great amaze. ⁷ And the angel said to me, Why art thou amazed? I will tell thee the mystery of this woman and of the beast which carrieth her, which hath seven heads and ten horns. ⁸ The beast which thou sawest was and is not and is soon to ascend out of the bottomless gulf and go to destruction; and the inhabitants of the earth, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will wonder when they see the beast, because it was and is not although indeed it is.

¹² and the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but are about to take authority as kings one short period of time with the beast.

¹⁹ And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to come to a battle with him who was mounted on the horse and with his army.

¹⁰ And the Devil who was seducing them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are; and they shall be tormented day and night for the ages of the ages.

¹⁴ And death and the mansion of the dead were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And whoever was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

⁸ but the cowards and the unbelieving and abominable and murderers and prostitutes, and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their portion in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone. This is the second death.

¹⁵ but without are the dogs and the sorcerers and the prostitutes and the murderers and the idolaters and every one who loveth and practiseth falsehood.
