¹¹ Truth hath sprung up out of the earth, and righteousness hath looked down from heaven.

² But in that day God will with glorious counsel shine on the land, to exalt and dignify the remnant of Israel.

²¹ [p] The Lord God came to a determination, that he might be justified and might magnify praise.

⁸ [c] Let the heaven above be glad; and the clouds shower down righteousness. Let the earth spring and bloom with mercy and let it cause righteousness to spring up with it. [J] I the Lord am he who created thee.

² We have made proclamation as a child before him: as a root in a thirsty soil, he hath no appearance, nor glory. We have seen him; and he hath neither appearance nor beauty:

¹⁷ and lo! a voice from heaven said,"This is my son, the Beloved, in whom I am well pleased."

⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold! a bright cloud overshadowed them; and lo! from the cloud, a voice, saying, This is my Son, the Beloved, in whom I am well pleased. Hear ye him.

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest [heaven!] And on earth, peace! good will among men!

⁶ Jesus saith to him, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one cometh to the father but by me.

²¹ for he hath made him who knew no sin, a sin offering for us, that by him we may be made the righteousness of God;

⁶ for the praise of the glory of that favour of his with which he made us objects of favour in the Beloved;

²⁰ and we know that the son of God is come, and hath given us understanding that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, and in his son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and the life eternal. ²¹ Dear children, keep yourselves from the idols. Amen.
