2 Samuel 4:10-12

10 when one told me that Saul was dead, and thought himself a messenger of good news to me, I apprehended him, and slew him at Sekelak, though he thought himself entitled to a reward from me for his good news. 11 But now wicked men have slain a righteous person, in his house, upon his bed. Now therefore I will avenge his blood on you and cut you off from the earth. 12 Then David gave orders to his servants, and they instantly slew them, and cut off their hands, and their feet, and hanged them up by the pool of Chebron. Acts 5:1-10

1 But there was a certain man named Ananias, who with his wife Sapphira sold an estate 2 and kept back a part of the price, his wife also being privy to it. And having brought a certain part he laid it at the feet of the apostles. 3 Upon which Peter said, Ananias, Why hath Satan filled thy heart that thou shouldst lie to the Holy Spirit, and keep back a part of the price of the land? 4 While it remained, did it not remain thine? And when sold it was still at thine own disposal. Why then hast thou determined this thing in thy heart? Thou hast not lied to men, but to God. 5 Upon hearing these words Ananias fell down and expired. And great fear came upon all who heard these things. 6 Then the young men arose and having swathed him, they carried him out and buried him. 7 And about the space of three hours after, his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in. 8 And Peter said to her, Tell me; did you sell the land for such a price? And she said, Yes, for so much. 9 Thereupon Peter said to her, How is it that you have agreed to try the spirit of the Lord? Behold the feet of them, who have buried thy husband are at the door, and they will carry thee out. 10 At that instant she fell at his feet and expired. And the young men coming in found her dead. So they carried her out and buried her by her husband.
