¹⁷ The paths of life turn aside from evils: and the ways of righteousness are length of life. He who receiveth instruction shall enjoy good: and he who regardeth reproofs shall be wise. He who watcheth his own ways preserveth his soul: and he who loveth his life will be sparing of his mouth.

²⁷ A righteous man is an abomination to an unjust man: and a straight course is an abomination to a transgressor.

⁴ It was but a little while after I parted from them, till I found him whom my soul loveth. I took hold of him and did not let him go till I brought him to my mother's house and into the chambers of her who conceived me.

And he who sitteth on the throne will spread his tent over them. ¹⁶ They shall no more hunger, nor shall they thirst any more; nor shall the sun dart upon them; nor any scorching heat: ¹⁷ for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will tend them and guide them to living fountains of water; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
