¹¹ Therefore take good heed to love the Lord our God.

⁶ but shewing mercy for thousands [of generations] to them who love me and keep my commandments.

⁹ Take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently. Forget not all the things which thine eyes have seen, and let them not depart from thy heart all the days of thy life; that thou mayst impress upon thy children, and thy childrens' children,

⁵ And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole understanding, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole might. ⁶ And these injunctions, which I this day give thee in charge, shall be in thy heart, and in thy soul; ⁷ and thou shalt impress them on thy children, and speak of them, when thou sittest at home, and when thou art walking abroad, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up; ⁸ and thou shalt bind them for a sign on thy right hand, and it shall be immoveably before thine eyes. ⁹ You shall also write them on the posts of your houses and gates. ¹⁰ And when the Lord thy God hath brought thee into the land, which, with an oath he promised to thy fathers, to Abraham, and Isaak, and Jacob, to give thee cities, great and beautiful, which thou hast not builded; ¹¹ houses full of all good things, which thou hast not filled; cisterns of hewn stone, which thou hast not hewed; vineyards, and olive yards which thou hast not planted; and when thou hast eaten, and art filled, ¹² take heed to thyself, that thou forget not the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt; out of the house of bondage.

⁵ But be very careful to perform the commandments and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you to do, to love the Lord our God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, and to cleave to him and serve him with your whole heart, and with your whole soul.

²³ Guard thy heart with all diligence; for out of these are the issues of life.

³⁴ Take heed therefore to yourselves that your hearts be not overloaded with excess of meat, or drink, or worldly cares, and that day come upon you unawares.

²⁸ And we know that all things are working together for good to them who love God"to them who according to a previous purpose are now actually called.

³ But if any one loveth God by him he is acknowledged.]

²² If any one loveth not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be an Anathema. Maranatha.

¹⁵ Take heed therefore how circumspectly you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,

¹⁵ watching diligently that none fall short of the favour of God"that no root of bitterness spring up and occasion trouble, and many be defiled by it

²⁰ But as for you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying with a holy spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, as you expect the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for everlasting life;
