⁴⁰ Upon this they all cried out again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now this Barabbas was a robber.

¹⁶ And they had then a noted prisoner named Barabbas.

²⁶ Then he released to them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him up to be crucified.

⁷ And there was one Barabbas confined with his fellow insurgents, who in their insurrection had committed murder.

¹⁵ Thereupon Pilate willing to satisfy the populace, released Barabbas to them, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him up to be crucified.

¹⁸ so they with one consent cried out, saying, Away with this man and release to us Barabbas. ¹⁹ This was a person who on account of an insurrection in the city, and for murder, had been committed to prison.
