Indeed they sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord to provoke him to wrath. 18 And though the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them from his presence, and there was none left but only the tribe of Juda, 19 yet even then Juda did not keep the commandments of the Lord their God; but walked in the ordinances which Israel had made, and rejected the Lord. 20 Therefore the Lord was angry with the whole race of Israel and shook them off, and delivered them into the hands of spoilers who ransacked them until he cast them out of his sight.

2 Chronicles 34:30-33

Psalms 78:8-10
