²² Now it happened at that time that Abimelech, accompanied with Ochozath his chamberlain and Phichol the general of his army, spoke to Abraham saying, God is with thee in all that thou dost.

²⁴ and the Lord appeared to him that night and said, I am the God of thy father Abraham; Fear not; for I am with thee; and I will bless thee and multiply thy seed for the sake of thy father Abraham.

²⁸ And they said, We saw plainly that the Lord is with thee; therefore we said, Let there be an oath between us and thee; and we will make a covenant with thee

¹⁵ And lo! I am with thee watching; over thee in all the way thou goest and I will bring thee back to this land: for I will not leave thee until I have done all that I have spoken to thee.

²¹ But in the prison the Lord was with Joseph, and continued his kindness and gave him favour in the sight of the principal keeper of the prison. ²² And the principal keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's care the prison and all the prisoners who were in the prison. And whatever was done there, he was the person who caused it to be done.

²⁰ And I will make thee to this people like a strong wall of brass: though they fight against thee, they shall not prevail over thee; for am with thee to save thee and rescue thee out of the hand of the wicked.

²³ "The virgin shall conceive and bear a son and thou shalt call his name Emmanuel," the meaning of which is, God with us:

⁹ And the patriarchs, being moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt. But God was with him, ¹⁰ and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharao king of Egypt, who appointed him ruler over Egypt, and all his household.

³¹ To which he replied, How can I unless some one guide me? Then he invited Philip to come up and take a seat with him.

²⁰ In whatever state any one hath been called, in that let him abide. ²¹ Hast thou been called being a slave, let it not give thee concern. ¹ Let as many as are under a yoke of bondage account their masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God, and this doctrine, may not be reviled.

⁹ Exhort servants to be obedient to their masters; to be in all things studious to please; not answering again, ¹⁰ not embezzling, but shewing all good fidelity, that they may in all things adorn the doctrine of our saviour God.
