²⁷ And from the eighth day and thenceforward the priests shall sacrifice upon the altar your whole burnt offerings and your offerings of thanksgiving and I will accept you, saith the Lord.

¹ And if his gift to the Lord be a sacrifice of thanks giving, and he bring it from the herd, whether it be a male or a female, he shall bring it without blemish before the Lord

¹ On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the senate of Israel,

⁵ In order that the children of Israel may offer up their sacrifices, whatever they kill in the fields they shall carry for the Lord to the doors of the tabernacle of the testimony, to the priest, and offer them as a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord;

⁸ Now therefore take seven young bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and he will make an offering for you; and my servant Job will pray for you. For him only I will accept; for were it not for his sake, I would destroy you, because you have not spoken what is true against my servant Job.

⁴⁰ [for on my holy mountain, on my lofty mountain, saith the Lord, there all the house of Israel shall serve me at last; and there I will expect and there I will accept your offerings; even the offerings of your dedications at all your solemnities] ⁴¹ with the odour of sweet smelling incense I will accept you, when I have brought you out from among the peoples, and received you from the countries in which you have been dispersed, and I will be hallowed among you before the eyes of the peoples,

¹³ For what purpose soever they offer sacrifices and eat flesh, the Lord will not accept them; he will now remember their iniquities and punish their sins. They turned back to Egypt, therefore among the Assyrians they shall eat unclean things.

¹ therefore I exhort you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living, holy, acceptable sacrifice to God as your rational, religious service;

¹⁶ that I should be a ministering servant of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, and employed in the holy service of dispensing the glad tidings of God, that the offering of the Gentiles may be accepted, being hallowed by a holy spirit.

⁶ for the praise of the glory of that favour of his with which he made us objects of favour in the Beloved;

¹⁷ but can if I am even poured out as a libation on the sacrifice and service of your belief, rejoice and congratulate with you all.

²⁰ he having by the blood of his cross"by himself, brought them to be at peace, [whether they be the things on earth or the things in heaven,] ²¹ hath now therefore brought you, who were for a time alienated, and enemies in your minds by wicked works, to a state of reconcilement

¹⁵ By him therefore let us offer up continually to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips, praising his name;

⁵ and you yourselves as living stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ;
