¹⁹ For what is our hope, or will be our joy, or crown of rejoicing? Will it not be you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

⁹ that it may be to thy head a crown of graces and cover thee with a crown of pleasure.

⁴ A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but a mischievous woman, like a Worm in wood, ruineth her husband.

¹³ Righteous lips are acceptable to a king; and he loveth right words.

⁶ Children's children are the crown of old men: and the boast of children, is their fathers. Every ornament of wealth belongeth to the faithful; but to the unfaithful, not a farthing.

³ then thou shalt be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

²⁷ For the son of man will come in the glory of his father, with his angels, and will then render to every one according to his actions.

¹⁶ that I should be a ministering servant of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, and employed in the holy service of dispensing the glad tidings of God, that the offering of the Gentiles may be accepted, being hallowed by a holy spirit. ¹⁷ Therefore I have matter of boasting in Christ Jesus with respect to the things pertaining to God. ¹⁸ For I will not presume to mention any thing, save what Christ hath wrought by me for the obedience of the Gentiles, both in profession and practice, ¹⁹ by virtue of signs and wonders, by the power of the spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem and the country around even to Illyricum, I have confirmed the glad tidings of the Christ,

⁵ So pass no judgment prematurely, until the Lord come, who will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and expose to view the counsels of the hearts, and then the praise for every one will be from God.

²³ but every one in his proper order; Christ the first fruits; then they who belong to Christ, at his coming:

¹⁴ as some of you have acknowledged us, that we are your boast, as you indeed will be ours, in the day of the Lord Jesus.

¹⁶ displaying the word of life, that I may have matter of boasting for the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain, nor labour in vain,

¹ Wherefore, my brethren, my beloved, and much longed for! my joy and my crown! stand thus stedfast in the Lord, my beloved!

²⁰ For you are our glory and our joy.

¹³ so as to establish your hearts unblameable in holiness, in the presence of our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his holy ones.

¹⁵ For this we tell you by a word of the Lord, that we the living who are left till the coming of the Lord shall not anticipate them who are laid to rest

²³ And may the God of this peace himself sanctify you entirely! And may the whole of you: the spirit and the soul, and the body, be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁷ and to you who are afflicted, rest with us at the manifestation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels,

¹⁴ to keep thyself, in respect to this command, unspotted, irreprehensible, until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ which, in his own proper times will be displayed by him, who is the blessed and only potentate, the king of kings and the lord of lords,

¹ I therefore charge thee in the presence of the God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge living and dead at his glorious appearance and reign, ² proclaim the word; be intent thereon, in season and out of season; convince, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

¹³ waiting for the blessed hope and the bright display of the glory of the great God, and saviour of us Jesus Christ,

⁴ And when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive an unfading crown of glory.

²⁸ And now, children, abide in him, that when he shall appear we may have confidence, and not be made ashamed by him at his coming.

²⁴ Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you, without blemish, before his glory with great joy

⁷ Behold he is coming with clouds, and every eye shall see him, even they who pierced him; and for him all the tribes of the earth shall mourn. Yes, be it so.

¹⁰ the four and twenty elders are to prostrate themselves before him who is seated on the throne, and to worship him who liveth for the ages of the ages, and to cast their crowns before the throne saying, ¹¹ Thou, O Lord, art worthy to receive the glory and the honour and the power, because thou hast created all things, and at thy will they exist and were created.

¹² Now behold I am coming quickly and my reward is with me to render to every one as his work shall be.
