¹³ And it shall come to pass, that as you all were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; to that degree I will save you, and all of you shall be a blessing: Fear not, but let your hands be strong.'

² And I will make a great nation of you, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: ³ And I will bless those that bless you, and curse him that curses you: And in you all families of the earth shall be blessed."

⁴ and I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give to your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

³⁷ And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations where the LORD shall lead you.

²³ and that the whole land of it is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows in it, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath: ²⁴ Even all nations shall say, "Why has the LORD done thus to this land? What means the heat of this great anger? ²⁵ Then men shall say, "Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt: ²⁶ For they went and served other gods, and worshiped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given to them: ²⁷ And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring on it all the curses that are written in this book: ²⁸ And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

¹¹ And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, "We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, for these two built the house of Israel: And may you do worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem: ¹² And let your house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give you of this young woman."

⁷ Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: ⁸ And at this house, which is high, everyone that passes by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, "Why has the LORD done thus to this land, and to this house?

¹⁸ Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: There was none left but the tribe of Judah only. ¹⁹ Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made. ²⁰ And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.

²⁰ then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations. ²¹ And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to everyone that passes by it; so that he shall say, "Why has the LORD done thus to this land, and to this house? ²² And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshiped them, and served them: Therefore has he brought all this evil on them.

¹³ You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those that are all around us. ¹⁴ You make us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.

¹⁶ for the voice of him that reproaches and blasphemes; by reason of the enemy and avenger.

¹⁷ His name shall endure forever: His name shall be continued as long as the sun: And men shall be blessed in Him: All nations shall call Him blessed.

⁴ We are become a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to those that are all around us.

²⁰ And he shall snatch on the right hand side, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand side, and they shall not be satisfied: Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm: ²¹ Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: And they together shall be against Judah. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is outstretched still.

²⁴ In that day Israel shall be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: ²⁵ Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, "Blessed be Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance."

³ Strengthen the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. ⁴ Say to those that are of a fearful heart, "Be strong, fear not: Behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; He will come and save you."

¹⁰ Fear not; for I am with you: Be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.' ¹¹ Behold, all they who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and confounded: They shall be as nothing; and those who strive with you shall perish. ¹² You shall seek them, and shall not find them, even they who contended with you: Those who war against you shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nothing. ¹³ For I the LORD your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, 'Fear not; I will help you. ¹⁴ Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you' ", said the LORD, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. ¹⁵ Behold, I will make you a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: You shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shall make the hills as chaff. ¹⁶ You shall fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: And you shall rejoice in the LORD, and shall glory in the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁵ And you shall leave your name for a curse to My chosen: For the Lord GOD shall slay you, and call his servants by another name: ¹⁶ That he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from My eyes.

⁹ And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them.

¹⁸ To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and her kings, and her princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;

⁶ then I will make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth." ' "

¹⁸ And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and a hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations where I have driven them:

³⁰ For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before Me from their youth: For the children of Israel have only provoked Me to anger with the work of their hands', said the LORD. ³¹ 'For this city has been to Me as a provocation of My anger and of My fury from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before My face, ³² because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

²⁴ 'Consider not what this people has spoken, saying, "The two families which the LORD has chosen, has he cast even them off?" Thus they have despised My people, that they should no more be a nation before them.'

¹⁸ For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; 'As My anger and My fury has been poured forth on the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall My fury be poured forth on you, when you shall enter into Egypt: And you shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and you shall see this place no more.'

¹² And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: They shall die, from the least even to the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: And they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

²² So that the LORD could no longer bear it, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which you have committed; therefore your land is a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as it is this day.

¹⁵ All who pass by clap their hands at you; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, "Is this the city that men call 'The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth'?" ¹⁶ All your enemies have opened their mouth against you: They hiss and gnash the teeth: They say, "We have swallowed her up: Certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it."

¹⁵ They cried out to them, "Depart all of you; it is unclean; depart, depart, do not touch": When they fled away and wandered, they said among the heathen, "They shall no more sojourn there."

¹⁵ So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment to the nations that are around you, when I shall execute judgments in you in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

¹¹ Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: We are cut off for our parts.

¹⁶ moreover, you son of man, take for yourself one stick, and write on it, For Judah, and for his companions the children of Israel: Then take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: ¹⁷ And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in your hand. ¹⁸ And when the children of your people shall speak to you, saying, 'Will you not show us what you mean by these?' ¹⁹ Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in My hand." '

¹¹ Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, even by departing, that they might not obey Your voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him.

⁷ And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that does not tarry on account of man, nor wait for the sons of men.

²⁰ At that time I will bring you back again, even in the time that I gather you: For I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes", says the LORD.

¹⁹ Is the seed still in the barn? Yes, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not brought forth: From this day forward I will bless you.' "

¹⁹ And I said to the angel that talked with me, "What are these?" And he answered me, "These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem."

⁹ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'Let your hands be strong, all you that hear these words by the mouth of the prophets in these days, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

²⁰ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: ²¹ And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, "Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also." ²² Yes, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.' ²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, "We will go with you: For we have heard that God is with you."

¹³ when I have bent Judah for Me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and made you as the sword of a mighty man."

⁶ And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back again to place and settle them; for I have mercy upon them: And they shall be as though I had not cast them off: For I am the LORD their God, and will hear them. ⁷ And those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: Yes, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD. ⁸ I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: And they shall increase as they have formerly increased. ⁹ And I will sow them among the people: And they shall remember Me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and return again.

¹³ Watch, stand fast in the faith, carry through like men, be strong.

¹⁴ That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond-servant nor free, there is neither male nor female: For you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹ And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
