⁵³ But the Levites shall pitch all around the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel: And the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

⁶ And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest you die, and lest wrath come on all the people: But let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, mourn the burning which the LORD has kindled.

⁵⁰ But you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all its vessels, and over all things that belong to it: They shall bear the tabernacle, and all its vessels; and they shall minister to it, and shall encamp all around the tabernacle.

⁷ And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. ⁸ And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.

³⁸ But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.

¹⁹ And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: That there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.

²⁴ this is it that belongs to the Levites: From twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: ²⁵ And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting on its service, and shall serve no more: ²⁶ But shall minister with their brothers in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shall you do to the Levites touching their charge.

⁴⁶ And Moses said to Aaron, "Take a censer, and put fire in it from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly to the congregation, and make an atonement for them: For there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

² And your brothers also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, bring you with you, that they may be joined to you, and minister to you: But you and your sons with you shall minister before the tabernacle of witness. ³ And they shall keep your charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: Only they shall not come near the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor you also, die. ⁴ And they shall be joined to you, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: And a stranger shall not come near to you. ⁵ And you shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: That there be no wrath any more on the children of Israel.

³⁰ And of the children of Israel's half, you shall take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the donkeys, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them to the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

⁴⁷ Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them to the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹⁹ And He smote the men of Beth-Shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, He even smote from the people fifty thousand and seventy men: And the people lamented, because the LORD had smote many of the people with a great slaughter.

³² And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brothers, in the service of the house of the LORD.

¹⁰ But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister to the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait on their business:

³¹ the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and My people love to have it so: And what will you do in the end of it?'

¹⁵ Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; 'Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: For from the prophets of Jerusalem has profaneness gone forth into all the land.' "

²⁸ Therefore take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock, among whom the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He has purchased with His own blood. ²⁹ For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock. ³⁰ Also men shall arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after themselves. ³¹ Therefore watch, and remember, that for a span of three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

¹³ Until I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. ¹⁴ Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. ¹⁵ Meditate upon these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all. ¹⁶ Take heed to yourself, and to the doctrine; continue in them: For in doing this you shall save both yourself, and those that hear you.

² Preach the word; be at hand in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
