¹ Now the LORD had said to Abram, "Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you:

³⁰ And now, though you would necessarily be gone, because you greatly long after your father's house, yet why have you stolen my gods?"

¹⁵ And she said, "Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people, and to her gods: Return back with your sister-in-law." ¹⁶ And Ruth said, "Do not entreat me to leave you, or to return from following after you: For where you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I will lodge: Your people shall be my people, and your God my God: ¹⁷ Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried: The LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me."
