¹⁸ And you shall make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work you shall make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

³¹ And you shall make a candlestick of pure gold: The candlestick shall be made of beaten work: His shaft, and his branches, his bowls, its buds, and its flowers, shall be of the same.

⁷ But when the congregation is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.

¹³ However, there were not made for the house of the LORD bowls of silver, snuffers, basins, trumpets, any vessels of gold, or vessels of silver, of the money that was brought into the house of the LORD:

¹² Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brothers, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets):

³ Blow upward the trumpet in the new moon, at the time appointed, on our solemn feast day,

¹⁵ Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound; they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance.

¹³ Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination to Me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away endure; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

¹ "Set the trumpet to your mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed My covenant, and trespassed against My law.

¹⁴ Sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry to the LORD,

⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

⁵ Declare in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, "Blow the trumpet in the land: Cry, 'gather together', and say, 'Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defended cities.'

¹⁵ Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: ¹⁶ Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: Let the bridegroom go forth from his chamber, and the bride out of her room.

²¹ Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

² that the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over those that were numbered, offered:

¹⁵ So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.

³ And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: And Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah. ⁴ And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were three score and fourteen thousand and six hundred. ⁵ And those that do pitch next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar: And Nethaneel the son of Zuar shall be captain of the children of Issachar. ⁶ And his host, and those that were numbered of it, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred. ⁷ Then the tribe of Zebulun: And Eliab the son of Helon shall be captain of the children of Zebulun. ⁸ And his host, and those that were numbered of it, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred. ⁹ All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were a hundred thousand and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth.

⁶ When you blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: They shall blow an alarm for their journeys. ⁷ But when the congregation is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.

⁶ And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.

⁴ And seven priests shall carry before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: And the seventh day you all shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. ⁵ And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you all hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up, every man, straight before him." ⁶ And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said to them, "Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests carry seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD." ⁷ And he said to the people, "Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD." ⁸ And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests carrying the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: And the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them. ⁹ And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rear-guard came after the ark, the priests going onward, and blowing with the trumpets. ¹⁰ And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, "You all shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you to shout; then you all shall shout." ¹¹ So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: And they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp. ¹² And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD. ¹³ And seven priests carrying seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: And the armed men went before them; but the rear-guard came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going onward, and blowing with the trumpets. ¹⁴ And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: So they did six days. ¹⁵ And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city in the same manner for the seventh time that week: Only on that day they proceeded to compass the city seven times in a row. ¹⁶ And it came to pass on the seventh time around for the day, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, "Shout; for the LORD has given you the city.

²⁴ And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: And Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

⁶ benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

¹² And behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight you not against the LORD God of your fathers; for you shall not prosper. ¹³ But Jeroboam caused an ambush to come about behind them: So they were before Judah, and the ambush was behind them. ¹⁴ And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: And they cried out to the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets. ¹⁵ Then the men of Judah gave a shout: And as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

¹ And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the domestic beasts that were with him in the ark: And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;

⁵ And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you all hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up, every man, straight before him."

¹⁸ And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: For it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of those that oppressed them and vexed them.

²⁷ And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.

¹² The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and you cried out to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.

¹⁸ and said to the children of Israel, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and from those that oppressed you:

¹⁴ And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: And they cried out to the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.

⁴ Remember me, O LORD, with the favor that you bring forth to Your people: O visit me with Your salvation;

⁴² Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

²³ Who remembered us in our low estate: For His mercy endures forever:

³ All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, you shall see, when he lifts up an ensign upon the mountains; and when he blows a trumpet, you shall hear.

¹⁹ My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart makes a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

²¹ How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

¹ O you children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: For evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.

⁶ Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD has not done it?

¹⁶ A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

⁷⁰ as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, who have been since the world began: ⁷¹ That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us; ⁷² to perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant; ⁷³ the oath which He swore to our father Abraham, ⁷⁴ that He would grant to us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve Him without fear,

⁸ For if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself for the battle?

²⁹ And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goes in to the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.

¹⁶ And you shall take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shall appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial to the children of Israel before the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls."

²⁴ speak to the children of Israel, saying, "In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall you have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

⁹ Then you shall cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall you make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. ¹⁰ And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants: It shall be a jubilee to you; and you shall return every man to his possession, and you shall return every man to his family.

¹ And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work: It is a day of blowing the trumpets to you.

⁷ Then you shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over the Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.

²⁸ Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.

⁶ And the priests waited on their offices: The Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endures forever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.

²⁶ And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.

²⁸ And all the congregation worshiped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: And all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.

¹⁰ And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.

⁵ Sing to the LORD with the harp, with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. ⁶ With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.

³ Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: Praise Him with the psaltery and harp.

¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

Listen to Me diligently, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. ³ Incline your ear, and come to Me: Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. ⁴ Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

²⁸ Come to Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

⁴ And when he looked at him, he was afraid, and said, "What is it, Lord?" And he said to him, "Your prayers and your charitable alms have come up as a memorial before God.

²⁴ And when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, "Take, eat: This is My body, which is broken for you: Do this in remembrance of Me." ²⁵ In the same manner He also took the cup, when he had sipped, saying, "This cup is the new testament in My blood: This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." ²⁶ For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you teach the Lord's death until He comes.

⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

¹⁶ For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: And the dead in Christ shall rise first.

¹⁸ Therefore comfort one another with these words.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let him that hears say, "Come." And let him that is thirsty come. And whoever is willing, let him take the water of life freely.

¹⁷ And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: And in the place where the cloud stayed, there the children of Israel pitched their tents. ¹⁸ At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: As long as the cloud stayed on the tabernacle they rested in their tents. ¹⁹ And when the cloud tarried long on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not. ²⁰ And so it was, when the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they stayed in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed. ²¹ And so it was, when the cloud stayed from even to the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: Whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed. ²² Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Israel stayed in their tents, and journeyed not: But when it was taken up, they journeyed. ²³ At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: They kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

²¹ And he dwelled in the wilderness of Paran: And his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

²⁰ And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.

¹ In the third month, when the children of Israel had gone forth out of the land of Egypt, on that same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai. ² For they had departed from Rephidim, and came to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

³⁶ And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys: ³⁷ But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey until the day that it was taken up.

¹⁶ And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

³ And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: All those men were heads of the children of Israel.

²⁶ And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word to them, and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.

¹⁵ And they departed from Rephidim, and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai. ¹⁶ And they removed from the desert of Sinai, and pitched at Kibrothhattaavah.

¹ These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel on this side of the Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain in front of the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

¹⁹ And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea.

² And he said, "The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir to them; he shined forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: From his right hand went a fiery law for them.

¹ And Samuel died; and all the Israelites were gathered together, and lamented him, and buried him in his house at Ramah. And David arose, and went down to the wilderness of Paran.

³ God came from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of His praise.

²³ At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: They kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

⁶ the LORD our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying, "You have dwelled long enough in this mount:

⁸ Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise: Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father's children shall bow down before you.

⁷ Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

¹² And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah:

¹⁹ The sons of Judah were Er and Onan: And Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. ²⁰ And the sons of Judah after their families were; of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites: Of Pharez, the family of the Pharzites: Of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites. ²¹ And the sons of Pharez were; of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: Of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites. ²² These are the families of Judah according to those that were numbered of them, sixty-sixteen thousand and five hundred. ²³ Of the sons of Issachar after their families: Of Tola, the family of the Tolaites: Of Pua, the family of the Punites: ²⁴ Of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites: Of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites. ²⁵ These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, three score and four thousand and three hundred. ²⁶ Of the sons of Zebulun after their families: Of Sered, the family of the Sardites: Of Elon, the family of the Elonites: Of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites. ²⁷ These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those that were numbered of them, three score thousand and five hundred.

⁸ Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

¹⁸ On the second day Nethaneel the son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, did offer:

⁹ Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon.

²⁴ On the third day Eliab the son of Helon, prince of the children of Zebulun, did offer:

⁵¹ And when the tabernacle sets forward, the Levites shall take it down: And when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: And the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.

²⁵ And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, ²⁶ and the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar all around, and the cords of it for all its service.

³⁶ And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and all its vessels, and all that serves thereto, ³⁷ and the pillars of the court all around, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.

²¹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ²² take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families; ²³ from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shall you number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. ²⁴ This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens: ²⁵ And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers' skins that is above on it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, ²⁶ and the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar all around, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: So shall they serve. ²⁷ At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: And you shall appoint to them in charge all their burdens. ²⁸ This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: And their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. ²⁹ As for the sons of Merari, you shall number them after their families, by the house of their fathers; ³⁰ from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old shall you number them, everyone that enters into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation. ³¹ And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and sockets of it, ³² and the pillars of the court all around, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: And by name you shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden. ³³ This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

⁶ And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them to the Levites. ⁷ Two wagons and four oxen he gave to the sons of Gershon, according to their service: ⁸ And four wagons and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari, according to their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

¹¹ But Christ became a High Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

²⁸ Therefore, we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

¹⁴ knowing that shortly I must put off my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me.

⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: Of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

³⁵ And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs of the first year: This was the offering of Elizur the son of Shedeur.

⁵ Reuben, the oldest son of Israel: The children of Reuben; Hanoch, of whom comes the family of the Hanochites: Of Pallu, the family of the Palluites: ⁶ Of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: Of Carmi, the family of the Carmites. ⁷ These are the families of the Reubenites: And those that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty. ⁸ And the sons of Pallu; Eliab. ⁹ And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD: ¹⁰ And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: And they became a sign. ¹¹ Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not. ¹² The sons of Simeon after their families: Of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites: Of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites: Of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites: ¹³ Of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites: Of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites. ¹⁴ These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty and two thousand and two hundred. ¹⁵ The children of Gad after their families: Of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites: Of Haggi, the family of the Haggites: Of Shuni, the family of the Shunites: ¹⁶ Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites: Of Eri, the family of the Erites: ¹⁷ Of Arod, the family of the Arodites: Of Areli, the family of the Arelites. ¹⁸ These are the families of the children of Gad according to those that were numbered of them, forty thousand and five hundred.

⁶ Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

³⁶ On the fifth day Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai, prince of the children of Simeon, did offer:

¹⁴ Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

¹⁴ Then the tribe of Gad: And the captain of the sons of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.

⁴² On the sixth day Eliasaph the son of Deuel, prince of the children of Gad, offered:

¹⁷ Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camp: As they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.

²⁷ And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izeharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: These are the families of the Kohathites. ²⁸ In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary. ²⁹ The families of the sons of Kohath shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle southward. ³⁰ And the chief of the house of the father of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. ³¹ And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the hanging, and all its service. ³² And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the oversight of those that keep the charge of the sanctuary.

⁴ This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things: ⁵ And when the camp sets forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering veil, and cover the ark of testimony with it: ⁶ And shall put on it the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in its staffs. ⁷ And on the table of show-bread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put on it the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover with: And the continual bread shall be on it: ⁸ And they shall spread on them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in its staffs. ⁹ And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his fire-pans, and all the oil vessels of it, with which they minister to it: ¹⁰ And they shall put it and all its vessels within a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put it on a bar. ¹¹ And on the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put to its staffs: ¹² And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put them on a bar: ¹³ And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it: ¹⁴ And they shall put on it all its vessels, with which they minister about it, even the censers, the flesh-hooks, and the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of badgers' skins, and put to the staffs of it. ¹⁵ And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: But they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation. ¹⁶ And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertains the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily food offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that in it is, in the sanctuary, and in its vessels.

²⁰ But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.

⁹ But to the sons of Kohath he gave none: Because the service of the sanctuary belonging to them was that they should bear on their shoulders.

¹⁷ And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.

² Then David said, "None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: For them has the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever.

¹² and said to them, "You are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel to the place that I have prepared for it. ¹³ For because you did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach on us, for that we sought him not after the due order. ¹⁴ So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. ¹⁵ And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with the staffs on it, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.

¹⁹ And his father refused, and said, "I know it, my son, I know it: He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: But truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations."

¹⁰ Of the children of Joseph: Of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: Of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

¹⁸ On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: And the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud. ¹⁹ And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred. ²⁰ And by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: And the captain of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. ²¹ And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred. ²² Then the tribe of Benjamin: And the captain of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni. ²³ And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred. ²⁴ All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were a hundred thousand and eight thousand and a hundred, throughout their armies. And they shall go forward in the third rank.

⁴⁸ On the seventh day Elishama the son of Ammihud, prince of the children of Ephraim, offered:

²³ Of the sons of Issachar after their families: Of Tola, the family of the Tolaites: Of Pua, the family of the Punites: ²⁴ Of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites: Of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites. ²⁵ These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, three score and four thousand and three hundred. ²⁶ Of the sons of Zebulun after their families: Of Sered, the family of the Sardites: Of Elon, the family of the Elonites: Of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites. ²⁷ These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those that were numbered of them, three score thousand and five hundred. ²⁸ The sons of Joseph after their families were Manasseh and Ephraim. ²⁹ Of the sons of Manasseh: Of Machir, the family of the Machirites: And Machir begat Gilead: Of Gilead come the family of the Gileadites. ³⁰ These are the sons of Gilead: Of Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites: Of Helek, the family of the Helekites: ³¹ And of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites: And of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites: ³² And of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites: And of Hepher, the family of the Hepherites. ³³ And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: And the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. ³⁴ These are the families of Manasseh, and those that were numbered of them, fifty and two thousand and seven hundred. ³⁵ These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: Of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites: Of Becher, the family of the Bachrites: Of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites. ³⁶ And these are the sons of Shuthelah: Of Eran, the family of the Eranites. ³⁷ These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families. ³⁸ The sons of Benjamin after their families: Of Bela, the family of the Belaites: Of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites: Of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites: ³⁹ Of Shupham, the family of the Shuphamites: Of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites. ⁴⁰ And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: Of Ard, the family of the Ardites: And of Naaman, the family of the Naamites. ⁴¹ These are the sons of Benjamin after their families: And those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.

¹ To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You that lead Joseph like a flock; You that dwell between the cherubims, shine forth. ² Stir up Your strength before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, and come and save us.

⁵⁴ On the eighth day offered Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur, prince of the children of Manasseh:

¹¹ Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni.

⁶⁰ On the ninth day Abidan the son of Gideoni, prince of the children of Benjamin, offered:

¹⁶ Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. ¹⁷ Dan shall be a serpent by the pathway, an adder in the path, that bites the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

¹² Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

²⁵ The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side by their armies: And the captain of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. ²⁶ And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were three score and two thousand and seven hundred. ²⁷ And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: And the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran. ²⁸ And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred. ²⁹ Then the tribe of Naphtali: And the captain of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan. ³⁰ And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred. ³¹ All those that were numbered in the camp of Dan were a hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred. They shall go hindmost with their standards.

⁶⁶ On the tenth day Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai, prince of the children of Dan, offered:

⁴² These are the sons of Dan after their families: Of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families. ⁴³ All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were three score and four thousand and four hundred. ⁴⁴ Of the children of Asher after their families: Of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites: Of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites: Of Beriah, the family of the Beriites. ⁴⁵ Of the sons of Beriah: Of Heber, the family of the Heberites: Of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites. ⁴⁶ And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah. ⁴⁷ These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them; who were fifty and three thousand and four hundred. ⁴⁸ Of the sons of Naphtali after their families: Of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: Of Guni, the family of the Gunites: ⁴⁹ Of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites: Of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites. ⁵⁰ These are the families of Naphtali according to their families: And those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred. ⁵¹ These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.

¹⁷ Remember what Amalek did to you by the way, when you were come forth out of Egypt; ¹⁸ how he met you by the way, and smote the hindmost of you, even all that were feeble behind you, when you were faint and weary; and he feared not God.

⁹ And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rear-guard came after the ark, the priests going onward, and blowing with the trumpets.

¹² For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: For the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rear-guard.

⁸ Then your light shall break forth like the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: And your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear-guard.

¹³ Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran.

⁷² On the eleventh day Pagiel the son of Ocran, prince of the children of Asher, offered:

¹⁵ Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.

⁷⁸ On the twelfth day Ahira the son of Enan, prince of the children of Naphtali, offered:

³⁴ And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: So they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

³⁵ And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, "Rise up, LORD, and let your enemies be scattered; and let those that hate you flee before you. ³⁶ And when it rested, he said, "Return, O LORD, to the many thousands of Israel.

⁴ He has said, "which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: ⁵ How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, and your tabernacles, O Israel!

¹⁰ Who is she that looks forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and formidable as an army with banners?

³³ For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

⁴⁰ Let all things be done decently and in order.

⁵ For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

⁷ And the LORD appeared to Abram, and said, "I will give this land to your seed": And he built an altar to the LORD there, Who appeared to him.

¹⁵ For all the land which you see, I will give it to you, and to your seed forever.

¹⁸ On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

¹² And You said, 'I will surely do you good, and make your seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.' "

¹⁸ And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, "How is it that you have come so soon today?"

¹ Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian: And he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

⁸ and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and a large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

⁷ And I will take you to Myself for a people, and I will be to you a God: And you shall know that I am the LORD your God, which brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. ⁸ And I will bring you into the land, concerning that which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am the LORD.' "

¹ When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father-in-law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel His people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;

²⁷ And Moses let his father-in-law depart; and he went his way into his own land.

¹⁹ God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: Has he said, "and shall he not do it? Or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

¹⁶ And the children of the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lies in the south of Arad; and they went and dwelled among the people.

¹¹ Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father-in-law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent to the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.

⁶ And Saul said to the Kenites, "Go, depart, get yourselves down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt." So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

⁸ O taste and see that the LORD is good: Blessed is the man that trusts in him.

³ And many people shall go and say, "Come all of you, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths": For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

⁵ They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces towards it, saying, 'Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.'

²¹ And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, "Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also." ²² Yes, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.' ²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, "We will go with you: For we have heard that God is with you."

⁵ And He gave him no inheritance in it, no, not so much as to even set his foot upon: Yet He promised that He would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

² in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

¹⁸ That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

¹ Now the LORD had said to Abram, "Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you:

³⁰ And now, though you would necessarily be gone, because you greatly long after your father's house, yet why have you stolen my gods?"

¹⁵ And she said, "Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people, and to her gods: Return back with your sister-in-law." ¹⁶ And Ruth said, "Do not entreat me to leave you, or to return from following after you: For where you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I will lodge: Your people shall be my people, and your God my God: ¹⁷ Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried: The LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me."

¹⁰ Listen, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear; forget also your own people, and your father's house;

²⁹ He answered and said, 'I will not': But afterward he repented, and went.

²⁶ "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his father, mother, wife, children, brethren, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

¹⁶ Therefore from now on, we regard no man according to the flesh: Yes, though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet from now on we know Him no longer.

⁸ By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out into a place which he should afterwards receive as an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them far off, and were persuaded by them, embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

¹⁵ I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.

⁸ "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with My eye.guide you with My eye: In Hebrew; counsel you, My eye shall be upon you

¹⁴ For the body is not one member, but many. ¹⁵ If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body"; is it therefore not of the body? ¹⁶ And if the ear should say, "Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body"; is it therefore not of the body? ¹⁷ If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? ¹⁸ But now God has set the members, every one of them, in the body, just as it has pleased him. ¹⁹ And if they were all one member, where would be the body? ²⁰ But now they are many members, yet still one body. ²¹ And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you": Nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."

² Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

¹⁸ He does execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loves the stranger, in giving him food and clothing.

²⁷ All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD: And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before You. ²⁸ For the kingdom is the LORD's: And He is the governor among the nations. ²⁹ All those that are fat upon earth shall eat and worship: All those that go down to the dust shall bow before Him: And none can keep alive his own soul. ³⁰ A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. ³¹ They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness to a people that shall be born, that He has done this.

⁵ Let the people praise You, O God; let all the people praise You. ⁶ Then the earth shall yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. ⁷ God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

³ that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you all may also have fellowship with us: And truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

³ And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him out of the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

¹⁷ And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. ¹⁸ And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and got himself up into the mount: And Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

¹⁴ And He said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest." ¹⁵ And he said to Him, "If Your presence does not go with me, do not bring us up from this place.

¹² And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

³³ who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.

⁹ When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tablets of stone, even the tablets of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I stayed in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither ate bread nor drink water:

²⁶ take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.

² And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host; ³ and they commanded the people, saying, "When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then you shall remove from your place, and go after it. ⁴ Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: Come not near to it, that you may know the way by which you must go: For you have not passed this way heretofore. ⁵ And Joshua said to the people, Sanctify yourselves: For tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you. ⁶ And Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, "Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.

¹¹ Behold, the ark of the covenant of the LORD of all the earth passes over before you into Jordan. ¹² Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe a man. ¹³ And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the LORD of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand on a heap. ¹⁴ And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over the Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; ¹⁵ and as those that bore the ark were come to Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bore the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overflows all his banks all the time of harvest), ¹⁶ That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up on a heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: And those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: And the people passed over right against Jericho. ¹⁷ And the priests that bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over the Jordan.

²⁷ And the children of Israel inquired of the LORD, (for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

³ And when the people had come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, "Why has the LORD struck us today before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh to us, so that when it comes among us it may save us out of the hand of our enemies."

¹¹ To whom I swore in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest."

¹² To whom He said, "This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest"; and "this is the refreshing": Yet they would not hear.

¹ Thus says the LORD, "The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: Where is the house that you build to Me? And where is the place of My rest?

¹⁶ And it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days', said the LORD, 'they shall say no more, "The ark of the covenant of the LORD": Neither shall it come to mind: Neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

¹⁶ Thus says the LORD, "All of you stand in the roads, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'

⁸ Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the borders of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who labors with child together: A great company shall return there. ⁹ They shall come with weeping, and with supplications I will lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way in which they shall not stumble: For I am a Father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.

⁶ in the day that I lifted up My hand to them, to bring them forth from the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:

²⁸ Come to Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ²⁹ Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: And you shall find rest for your souls. ³⁰ For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."

³ For we who have believed do enter into rest, as He said, "As I have sworn in My wrath, 'If they shall enter into My rest' ": Although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. ⁴ For He spoke in a certain place of the seventh day in like manner, "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works." ⁵ And again in this place, "If they shall enter into My rest." ⁶ Therefore seeing it remains that some must enter in, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter in because of unbelief: ⁷ Again, He ordains a certain day, saying in David, "Today", after such a long time; as it is said, "Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts." ⁸ For if Jesus had given them rest, then He would not have afterward spoken of another day. ⁹ There remains then a rest for the people of God. ¹⁰ For he that has entered into His rest has himself also ceased from his own works, as God did from His. ¹¹ Therefore let us labor to enter into that rest, lest any man fall following the same example of unbelief.

²⁰ Now the God of peace, that brought forth again our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, ²¹ And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead the way for them; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: ²² He did not take away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

¹⁵ And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: And at sunset there was on the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning. ¹⁶ So it was always: The cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

¹² Moreover you led them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way in which they should go.

¹⁹ yet you in your manifold mercies forsook them not in the wilderness: The pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way in which they should go.

³⁹ He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

¹⁰ and repays those that hate him to their face, to destroy them: He will not be slack to him that hates him, he will repay him to his face.

⁴¹ If I whet my glittering sword, and my hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to my enemies, and will reward those that hate me.

¹ To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David. Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered: Let also those that hate Him flee before him. ² As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

⁸ Arise, O LORD, into Your rest; You, and the ark of Your strength.

¹² Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! ¹³ The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: But God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. ¹⁴ And behold at time of evening trouble; and before the morning he is no more. This is the portion of those who spoil us, and the lot of those that rob us.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Was it not You who cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

⁶⁰ And they blessed Rebekah, and said to her, "You are our sister, be the mother of thousands of millions, and let your seed possess the gate of those which hate them."

¹⁰ The LORD your God has multiplied you, and behold, you are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

¹³ Return, O LORD, how long? And let it repent you concerning Your servants. ¹⁴ O satisfy us early with Your mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. ¹⁵ Make us glad according to the days in which you have afflicted us, and the years in which we have seen evil. ¹⁶ Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your glory to their children. ¹⁷ And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: And establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, the work of our hands, You establish it.

¹⁷ O LORD, why have You made us to err from Your ways, and hardened our heart from Your fear? Return for Your servants' sake, the tribes of Your inheritance.
