And I set a great assembly against them. 8 And I said to them, "We after our ability have redeemed our brothers the Jews, which were sold to the heathen; and will you even sell your brothers? Or shall they be sold to us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer. 9 Also I said, "It is not good that you do: Ought you not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies? 10 I likewise, and my brothers, and my servants, might exact of them money and grain: I implore you, let us leave off this usury. 11 Restore, I implore you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their olive groves, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the grain, the wine, and the oil, that you exact of them.

Yet you bring more wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath. 19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the Sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the Sabbath: And some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the Sabbath day. 20 So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21 Then I testified against them, and said to them, "Why lodge you about the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you. However, the Levites hastened it not. 6 And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said to him, "Why have you not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness? 7 For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God; and also all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD did they bestow on Baalim. 8 And at the king's commandment they made a chest, and set it outside at the gate of the house of the LORD. 9 And they made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, to bring in to the LORD the collection that Moses the servant of God laid on Israel in the wilderness. 10 And all the princes and all the people rejoiced, and brought in, and cast into the chest, until they had made an end. 11 Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest was brought to the king's office by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king's scribe and the high priest's officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance. 12 And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the LORD, and also such as worked iron and brass to mend the house of the LORD. 13 So the workmen worked, and the work was perfected by them, and they set the house of God in his state, and strengthened it. 14 And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, whereof were made vessels for the house of the LORD, even vessels to minister, and to offer with, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada.

Hebrews 10:3-7

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again and again of sins made every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, "You would not like sacrifice and offering, but You have prepared Me a body: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. 7 Then I said, 'Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me) to do Your will, O God.' Malachi 3:8-12

8 Will a man rob God? Yet you all have robbed Me. But you all say, 'In what have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. 9 You all are cursed with a curse: For you all have robbed Me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, all of you, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now with this", says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open to you the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing upon you, such that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the harvest time in the field", says the LORD of hosts. 12 "And all nations shall call you blessed: For you all shall be a delightsome land", says the LORD of hosts.

That you shall say to him, 'By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage: 15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: Therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that opens the womb, being males; but I redeem all the firstborn of my children.'

Exodus 34:19

Leviticus 27:26-27

26 Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD's firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: It is the LORD's. 27 And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to your estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it thereto: Or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your estimation.

9 This shall be your of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: Every oblation of theirs, every food offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs which they shall render to me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons. 10 In the most holy place shall you eat it; every male shall eat it: It shall be holy to you. 11 And this is yours; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them to you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, by a statute forever: Everyone that is clean in your house shall eat of it. 12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer to the LORD, them I have given you. 13 And whatever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring to the LORD, shall be yours; everyone that is clean in your house shall eat of it. 14 Every thing devoted in Israel shall be yours. 15 Every thing that opens the womb in all flesh, which they bring to the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be yours: Nevertheless the firstborn of man shall you surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shall you redeem. 16 And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shall you redeem, according to your estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. 17 But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy: You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and shall burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet smell to the LORD. 18 And the flesh of them shall be yours, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are yours. 19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to the LORD, I have given you, and your sons and your daughters with you, by a statute forever: It is a covenant of salt forever before the LORD to you and to your seed with you.

Deuteronomy 12:6

6 And thither you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and of your flocks:

1 Corinthians 9:6-14

6 Or is it only I and Barnabas that do not have power to abstain from working? 7 Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and does not eat of its fruit? Or who feeds a flock, and does not eat of the milk of the flock? 8 Do I say these things as from a man? Or does not the law say the same also? 9 For it is written in the law of Moses, "You shall not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treads out the grain kernels." Does God take care in favor of oxen? 10 Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: That he that plows should plow in hope; and he that threshes in hope should be a partaker of his hope. 11 If we have sown to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? 12 If others are partakers of this power over you, are not we for better reason? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we hinder the gospel of Christ. 13 Do you not know that those who minister around holy things live from the things of the temple? And those who wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? 14 Even so the Lord has ordained that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.

Galatians 6:6

6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate to him that teaches in all good things.

Leviticus 27:30-33

30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: It is holy to the LORD. 31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part of it. 32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to the LORD. 33 He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: And if he change it at all, then both it and its change shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.

Numbers 15:19-21

19 then it shall be, that, when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall offer up a heave offering to the LORD. 20 You shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for a heave offering: As you do the heave offering of the threshing floor, so shall you heave it. 21 Of the first of your dough you shall give to the LORD a heave offering in your generations.

Numbers 18:12-13

12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer to the LORD, them I have given you. 13 And whatever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring to the LORD, shall be yours; everyone that is clean in your house shall eat of it.

2 Chronicles 31:6

6 And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelled in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.

2 Chronicles 31:11-12

11 Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them, 12 and brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: Over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.
