²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

¹⁰ For the stars of heaven and their constellations shall not give light: The sun shall be darkened in His going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

²³ Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his elders gloriously.

⁴ And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and heaven shall be rolled together as a scroll: And all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falls off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

²³ I beheld the earth, and lo, it was without form, and void; and heaven, and they had no light. ²⁴ I beheld the mountains, and lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. ²⁵ I beheld, and lo, there was no man, and all the birds of heaven had fled. ²⁶ I beheld, and lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by His fierce anger. ²⁷ For thus has the LORD said, "The whole land shall be desolate; yet I will not make a full end of it. ²⁸ For this the earth shall mourn, and heaven above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not relent, neither will I turn back from it.

⁷ And when I shall put you out, I will cover the heaven, and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. ⁸ I will make all the bright lights of heaven dark over you, and set darkness on your land', said the Lord GOD.

¹¹ I then beheld because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke: I beheld until the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. ¹² As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: Yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

¹⁰ The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: The sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

³⁰ And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. ³¹ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes.

¹⁵ The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

²⁰ Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? Even very dark, and no brightness in it?

⁹ And it shall come to pass in that day", says the Lord GOD, "that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

¹⁴ The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hastens greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: The mighty man shall cry bitterly there. ¹⁵ That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of destruction and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

⁸ All these are the beginning of sorrows.

²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

²⁴ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, ²⁵ and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

²⁵ And there shall be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ²⁶ men's hearts failing them from fear, and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth: For the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

¹⁹ And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: ²⁰ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the LORD comes:

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and the works that are in it shall be burned up.

¹² And I beheld when He opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; ¹³ and the stars of heaven fell to the earth, even as a fig tree casts out her untimely figs, when she is shaken by a mighty wind. ¹⁴ And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; ¹⁶ and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: ¹⁷ For the great day of His wrath has come; and who shall be able to stand?"

¹² Then the fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun was smitten, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars; so that a third of them were darkened, and the day did not shine for a third of it, and likewise the night.
