²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

²² Let their table become a snare before them: And that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. ²³ Let their eyes be darkened, that they do not see; and make their loins continually to shake. ²⁴ Pour out Your indignation upon them, and let Your wrathful anger take hold of them. ²⁵ Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents. ²⁶ For they persecute him whom You have smitten; and they speak to the grief of those whom You have wounded. ²⁷ Add iniquity to their iniquity: And do not let them come into Your righteousness. ²⁸ Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

¹² Therefore I will number you to the sword, and you shall all bow down to the slaughter: Because when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not hear; but did evil before My eyes, and chose that in which I do not delight." ¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry: Behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty: Behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed: ¹⁴ Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit. ¹⁵ And you shall leave your name for a curse to My chosen: For the Lord GOD shall slay you, and call his servants by another name: ¹⁶ That he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from My eyes.

¹⁵ For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with His chariots like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire. ¹⁶ For by fire and by His sword the LORD will plead with all flesh: And the slain of the LORD shall be many.

²⁶ And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself: And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end of it shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war desolations are determined.

¹ "And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book.

² Hear this, all you old men, and give ear, all you inhabitants of the land. Has this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

² A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: A great people and a strong; there has not ever been the like, neither shall there be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

⁸ I also cut off three shepherds in one month; and my soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me. ⁹ Then I said, "I will not feed you: That which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat, everyone, the flesh of another."

² "For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses pillaged, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city." ³ Then the LORD shall go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle.

¹ "For behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: And the day that comes shall burn them up", says the LORD of hosts, "that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

⁹ But take heed to yourselves: For they shall deliver you up to councils; and you shall be beaten in the synagogues: And you shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them.

⁴³ For the days shall come upon you, that your enemies shall cast a trench around you, surround you, and keep you in on every side, ⁴⁴ and shall level you even with the ground, and your children within you; and they shall not leave one stone upon another in you; because you did not know the time of your visitation."

²⁴ And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: And Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

¹⁶ Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to always fill up their sins: For the wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.

²⁶ For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, ²⁷ but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. ²⁸ He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy, who has tread underfoot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has extreme malice toward the Spirit of grace?
