¹⁶ Then let those who are in Judea flee into the mountains:

¹⁵ And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, "Arise, take your wife, and your two daughters, which are here; lest you be consumed in the iniquity of the city." ¹⁶ And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful to him: And they brought him forth, and set him outside the city. ¹⁷ And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, "Escape for your life; do not look behind you, neither stay anywhere in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest you be consumed."

²⁰ He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his domestic beasts flee into the houses: ²¹ And he that did not regard the word of the LORD left his servants and his domestic beasts in the field.

³ A prudent man foresees the evil, and hides himself: But the simple pass on, and are punished.

¹ O you children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: For evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.

¹¹ And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh's army, ¹² then Jeremiah went forth out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, to separate himself there in the midst of the people.

²¹ Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let those who are in the midst of it depart out; and do not let those who are in the countries enter into it. ²² Because these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

⁷ By faith Noah, being warned by God of things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
