¹⁸ He who speaks of himself seeks his own glory: But He who seeks the glory of Him that sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.

¹⁰ Now therefore let Me alone, that My wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: And I will make a great nation of you." ¹¹ And Moses entreated the LORD his God, and said, "LORD, why does Your wrath wax hot against Your people, which You have brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?the LORD: In Hebrew, the face of the LORD ¹² Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, 'For mischief He brought them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth'? ²⁹ And Moses said to him, "Envy you for my sake? Would God that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit on them!

²⁷ It is not good to eat much honey: In that same vein, for men to search their own glory is not glory.

⁹ In this manner, therefore, pray: 'Our Father which is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.

²⁶ And they came to John, and said to him, "Rabbi, He that was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you bear witness, behold, the same baptizes, and all men come to Him." ²⁷ John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing, unless it is given to him from heaven. ²⁸ You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, 'I am not the Christ', but that, 'I am sent before Him.' ²⁹ He that has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: This joy of mine is therefore fulfilled. ³⁰ He must increase, but I must decrease.

⁴¹ I do not receive honor from men.

⁴⁹ Jesus answered, "I do not have a devil; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. ⁵⁰ And I do not seek My own glory: There is One who seeks and judges.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, "If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing: It is My Father that honors Me; of whom you say that He is your God.

⁴ When Jesus heard that, He said, "This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it."

²⁸ Father, glorify Your name." Then there came a voice from heaven, saying, "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."

³¹ Therefore, when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. ³² If God is glorified in Him, God shall also glorify Him in Himself, and shall glorify Him without delay.

⁴ I have glorified You on the earth: I have finished the work which You gave Me to do. ⁵ And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Your own self with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

³¹ Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. ³² Give no offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: ³³ Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

¹² As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. ¹³ For not even they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh. ¹⁴ But God forbid that I should glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.

³ Let nothing be done through strife or vain-glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. ⁴ Let not every man look upon his own things, but every man also after the things of others. ⁵ Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: ⁶ Nor did we seek glory from men, neither from you, nor from others yet, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

¹¹ If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God gives: That in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
