¹⁵ And you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age.

⁸ Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people. ⁹ And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre; ¹⁰ the field which Abraham purchased from the sons of Heth: There was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife. ¹¹ And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelled by the well Lahairoi. ¹² Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bore to Abraham: ¹³ And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam, ¹⁴ and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa, ¹⁵ Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah: ¹⁶ These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations. ¹⁷ And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty-seven years: And he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered to his people.

²⁹ And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered to his people, being old and full of days: And his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

³⁰ But I will lie with my fathers, and you shall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their burial site." And he said, "I will do as you have said."

¹³ For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a burial site possession from Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.

³⁷ Let your servant, I implore you, turn back again, that I may die in my own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good to you.

Do not mind high things, but descend from privilege of rank to men of low estate. Do not be wise in your own conceits. ¹⁷ Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honestly in the sight of all men. ¹⁸ If it is possible, as much as rests with you, live peaceably with all men. ¹⁹ Dearly beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: For it is written, "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay", says the Lord. ²⁰ Therefore "If your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink: For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire upon his head." ²¹ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
