¹ And the LORD said to Moses, "Go in to Pharaoh: For I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show My signs before him: ² And that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your son's son, what things I have worked in Egypt, and My signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am the LORD." ³ And Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh, and said to him, "Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me. ⁴ Otherwise, if you refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring the locusts into your borders: ⁵ And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: And they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field: ⁶ And they shall fill your houses, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither your fathers, nor your fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth to this day.' " And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh. ⁷ And Pharaoh's servants said to him, "How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: Do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?" ⁸ And Moses and Aaron were brought back again to Pharaoh: And he said to them, "Go, serve the LORD your God: But who are those that shall go?" ⁹ And Moses said, "We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds we will go; for we must hold a feast to the LORD." ¹⁰ And he said to them, "Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: Look to it; for evil is before you. ¹¹ Not so: Go now, you that are men, and serve the LORD; for you desired that." And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence. ¹² And the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left." ¹³ And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. ¹⁴ And the locust went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the borders of Egypt: Very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such. ¹⁵ For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they ate every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: And there did not remain any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt. ¹⁶ Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, "I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you. ¹⁷ Now therefore forgive, I implore you, my sin only this once, and entreat the LORD your God, that He may only take away from me this death." ¹⁸ And he went out from Pharaoh, and entreated the LORD. ¹⁹ And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there did not remain one locust in all the borders of Egypt. ²⁰ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go. ²¹ And the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt." ²² And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days: ²³ They did not see one another, neither did anyone rise from his place for three days: But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. ²⁴ And Pharaoh called to Moses, and said, "Go, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be left: Let your little ones also go with you." ²⁵ And Moses said, "You must also give us sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God. ²⁶ Our domestic beasts shall also go with us; there shall not be one hoof left behind; for we must take of them to serve the LORD our God; and we do not know with what we must serve the LORD, until we come to that place." ²⁷ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go. ²⁸ And Pharaoh said to him, "Get away from me, take heed to yourself, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die." ²⁹ And Moses said, "You have spoken well, I will not ever see your face again."

²⁰ And I will stretch out My hand, and smite Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst: And after that he will let you go.

²¹ And the LORD said to Moses, "When you go to return into Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in your hand: But I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

⁴ But Pharaoh shall not hearken to you, that I may lay My hand upon Egypt, and bring forth My armies, and My people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

¹³ And He hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he did not hearken to them; as the LORD had said. ¹⁴ And the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuses to let the people go.

¹⁶ And in fact for this very cause I have raised you up, through you to show My power; and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.

²⁷ And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "I have sinned this time: The LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

³⁴ And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned even more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants. ³⁵ And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

¹⁷ And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: And I will get Myself honor upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. ¹⁸ And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten Myself honor upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen."

¹⁴ The people shall hear, and be afraid: Sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. ¹⁵ Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.

⁹ and she said to the men, I know that the LORD has given you the land, and that your terror is fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. ¹⁰ For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.

²³ For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until you were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: ²⁴ That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: That you might fear the LORD your God forever.

⁸ Woe to us! Who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? These are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.

¹¹ God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

¹⁷ For the scripture says to Pharaoh, "Even for this same purpose I have raised you up, that I might show My power in you, and that My name might be declared throughout all the earth."

¹⁷ Thus says the LORD, "In this you shall know that I am the LORD: Behold, I will smite with the rod that is in My hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

²⁶ And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say to you, 'What do you mean by having this service?' ²⁷ That you shall say, 'It is the sacrifice of the LORD's Passover, Who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.' " And the people bowed the head and worshiped.

⁸ And you shall show your son in that day, saying, 'This is done because of that which the LORD did to me when I came forth out of Egypt.' ⁹ And it shall be for a sign to you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD's law may be in your mouth: For with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.

¹⁴ And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, 'What is this?' That you shall say to him, 'By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

⁹ Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life: But teach them your sons, and your sons' sons;

²⁰ And when your son asks you in time to come, saying, "What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God has commanded you? ²¹ Then you shall say to your son, We were Pharaoh's servants in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: ²² And the LORD showed signs and wonders, great and sore, on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his household, before our eyes:

¹ To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, Maschil. We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work You did in their days, in the times of old.

¹¹ So that a man shall say, "Truly there is a reward for the righteous: Truly He is a God that judges in the earth."

¹⁸ Now also when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not forsake me; until I have showed Your strength to this generation, and Your power to everyone that is to come.

⁵ For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: ⁶ That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

²⁶ and I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused all who open the womb to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD." '

²⁸ For when I had brought them into the land, for which I lifted up My hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered their sacrifices there, and they presented the provocation of their offering there: There also they made their sweet smell, and poured out their drink offerings there."

³ Tell your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.

⁴ And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath: But bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

¹⁷ Do you still exalt yourself against My people, that you will not let them go?

²⁸ And the LORD said to Moses, "How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?

²⁷ how long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

²¹ And Elijah came to all the people, and said, "How long halt you between two opinions? If the LORD be God, follow him: But if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

²⁹ see you how Ahab humbles himself before me? Because he humbles himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: But in his son's days will I bring the evil on his house.

¹⁴ if my people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

¹² And when he was in affliction, he sought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

¹⁹ His prayer also, and how God was entreated of him, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places in which he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: Behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers.

²⁷ because your heart was tender, and you did humble yourself before God, when you heard his words against this place, and against its inhabitants, and humbled yourself before me, and did rend your clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard you also", says the LORD.

⁶ For which reason I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

²² "How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

²⁴ Because I have called, and you refused; I have outstretched my hand, and no man regarded;

¹² Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honor is humility.

⁵ Why should you be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more: The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

¹¹ The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁰ This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, who walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall be like even this girdle, which is good for nothing.

¹⁸ Say to the king and to the queen, "Humble yourselves, sit down: For your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory."

⁶ And she has changed My judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and My statutes more than the countries that are around her: For they have refused My judgments and My statutes, they have not walked in them.'

⁴ Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

²⁵ See that you do not refuse Him that speaks. For if those who refused 'Him that spoke on earth' did not escape, much more we shall not escape, if we turn away from Him that speaks from heaven:

¹⁰ Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.

⁶ Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time:

¹⁰ And he said, "Tomorrow." And he said, "Be it according to your word: That you may know that there is none like the LORD our God.

²³ And I will put a division between My people and your people: This sign shall be tomorrow." ' "

⁵ And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, "Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land."

¹⁸ Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since its foundation even until now.

⁴ And Moses said, "Thus says the LORD, 'About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt: ⁵ And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

²⁷ the locusts have no king, yet they go forth, all of them, by bands;

⁴ That which the palmerworm has left the locust has eaten; and that which the locust has left the cankerworm has eaten; and that which the cankerworm has left the caterpillar has eaten. ⁵ Awake, you drunkards, and weep; and howl, all you drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth. ⁶ For a nation has come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he has the cheek teeth of a great lion. ⁷ He has laid My vine waste, and barked My fig tree: He has made it entirely bare, and cast it away; its branches are made white.

² A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: A great people and a strong; there has not ever been the like, neither shall there be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. ³ A fire devours before them; and behind them a flame burns: The land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yes, and nothing shall escape them. ⁴ The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. ⁵ Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains they shall leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devours the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. ⁶ Before their face the people shall be severely pained: All faces shall gather blackness. ⁷ They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march, everyone, on his pathways, and they shall not break their ranks: ⁸ Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk, everyone, in his path: And when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. ⁹ They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up on the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. ¹⁰ The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: The sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: ¹¹ And the LORD shall utter His voice before His army: For His camp is very great: For He is strong that executes His word: For the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

²⁵ And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, My great army which I sent among you.

³ Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth: And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

³² But the wheat and the rye were not smitten: For they were not grown up.

⁴ That which the palmerworm has left the locust has eaten; and that which the locust has left the cankerworm has eaten; and that which the cankerworm has left the caterpillar has eaten.

³ And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and upon your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs:

²¹ Otherwise, if you will not let My people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon you, and upon your servants, and upon your people, and into your houses: And the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground on which they live.

²⁴ So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such that there has been none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

¹¹ Not so: Go now, you that are men, and serve the LORD; for you desired that." And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

¹⁴ And the locust went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the borders of Egypt: Very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such. ¹⁵ For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they ate every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: And there did not remain any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

⁶ And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such that there has been none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

⁸ And all these, your servants, shall come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying, 'Get out, you and all the people that follow you': And after that I will go out." And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

²⁷ By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: For he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible.

¹⁹ Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God": And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not hearken to them; as the LORD had said.

³³ They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me: For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.

¹³ Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you.

²¹ And Saul said, "I will give her to him, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him." For this reason Saul said to David, "You shall be my son-in-law this day in the one of the two."

³⁴ A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

⁶ In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: But the righteous does sing and rejoice.

²⁶ And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as fetters: Whoever pleases God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

²⁰ You shall not be joined with them in burial, because you have destroyed your land, and slain your people: The seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Was it not You who cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

⁴ Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

⁸ Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: Howl for her; take balm for her pain, it may be she be healed.

¹⁸ Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of His jealousy: For He shall even make a speedy riddance of all those that dwell in the land.

³⁵ And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is honorable, and that you may fix your attention upon the Lord without distraction.

⁸ Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, "Entreat the LORD, that He may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice to the LORD."

¹⁶ Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, "I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.

²⁴ And Pharaoh called to Moses, and said, "Go, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be left: Let your little ones also go with you."

³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, "Rise up, and get yourselves out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as you have said.

⁸ and all the house of Joseph, and his brothers, and his father's house: Only their little ones, their flocks, and their herds, did they leave in the land of Goshen.

¹⁸ And they shall hearken to your voice: And you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, 'The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us: And now let us go, we beseech you, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.'

¹ And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.' "

³ And they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us: Let us go, we implore you, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice to the LORD our God; lest He fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword."

²⁵ And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, "Go, sacrifice to your God in the land." ²⁶ And Moses said, "It is not right to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: Lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us? ²⁷ We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as He shall command us." ²⁸ And Pharaoh said, "I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away: Entreat for me."

⁶ Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the LORD.

¹² And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work, and you shall keep a feast to the LORD seven days:

¹² Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and your stranger that is within your gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: ¹³ And that their children, which have not known anything, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Jordan to possess it.

¹⁵ And if it seem evil to you to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

¹² Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: ¹³ Let them praise the name of the LORD: For His name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heaven.

⁹ Honor the LORD with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase:

¹ Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days have not come, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, "I have no pleasure in them;

⁷ Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: ⁸ Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

³⁰ And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. ³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, "Rise up, and get yourselves out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as you have said.

²¹ And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead the way for them; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

¹⁵ Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: For no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: How much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?

³⁷ Who is he who speaks, and it comes to pass, when the Lord does not command it?

⁴ And the king of Egypt said to them, "Why do you, Moses and Aaron, impede the people from their work? Get yourselves to your burdens."

²⁸ And Pharaoh said to him, "Get away from me, take heed to yourself, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die."

³ You love evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. ⁴ You love all devouring words, O you deceitful tongue.

⁶⁹ The proud have forged a lie against me: But I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.

¹⁹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Take your rod, and stretch out your hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.' "

⁴ Otherwise, if you refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring the locusts into your borders: ⁵ And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: And they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field:

⁶ And behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

²¹ And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

²⁶ He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: And by His power He brought in the south wind.

³⁴ He spoke, and the locusts came, and caterpillars, and that without number,

²⁵ For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. ²⁶ They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: Their soul is melted because of trouble. ²⁷ They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. ²⁸ Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses.

⁸ Fire, and hail; snow and vapor; stormy wind fulfilling His word:

⁴ But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was likely to be broken.

⁸ And it came to pass, when the sun arose, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, such that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, "It is better for me to die than to live."

²⁷ So the men marveled, saying, "What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

⁵ And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: And they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field: ⁶ And they shall fill your houses, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither your fathers, nor your fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth to this day.' " And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

⁴² All your trees and fruit of your land shall the locust consume.

³⁷ If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpillar; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatever plague, whatever sickness there be;

⁴⁶ He also gave their increase to the caterpillar, and their labor to the locust.

³⁴ He spoke, and the locusts came, and caterpillars, and that without number, ³⁵ and they ate up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

² Hear this, all you old men, and give ear, all you inhabitants of the land. Has this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers? ³ Tell your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation. ⁴ That which the palmerworm has left the locust has eaten; and that which the locust has left the cankerworm has eaten; and that which the cankerworm has left the caterpillar has eaten.

¹ Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: For the day of the LORD comes, for it is near at hand;

³ Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth: And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. ⁴ And they were commanded that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which do not have the seal of God in their foreheads. ⁵ And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: And their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he strikes a man. ⁶ And in those days men shall seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. ⁷ And the shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared to battle; and on their heads were things like crowns of gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.

⁷ Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, "We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against you; pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

³⁴ And Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I did not know that you stood in the walkway against me: Now therefore, if it displease you, I will get me back again.

²⁴ And Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned: For I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and your words: Because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

³⁰ Then he said, "I have sinned: Yet honor me now, I implore you, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and return again with me, that I may worship the LORD your God."

²¹ Then Saul said, "I have sinned: Return, my son David: For I will do you harm no more, because my soul was precious in your eyes this day: Behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly."

²⁰ For your servant does know that I have sinned: Therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

³¹ Surely it is meet to be said to God, "I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more: ³² That which I see not teach you me: If I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

¹³ He that covers his sins shall not prosper: But whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.

⁴ saying, "I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood." And they said, "What is that to us? You see to that."

²⁸ Entreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer."

²⁵ Now therefore, I implore you, pardon my sin, and return again with me, that I may worship the LORD."

⁶ And the king answered and said to the man of God, Entreat now the face of the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God sought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

⁴⁰ So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, "O you man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat of it.

¹⁶ LORD, in trouble they have visited You, they poured out a prayer when Your chastening was on them.

²⁴ Then Simon answered, and said, "Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken come upon me."

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

¹⁰ Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver: In whom we trust that He will yet deliver us;

⁹ And Moses said to Pharaoh, "Rejoice over me: When shall I entreat for you, and for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only?"

²⁸ And Pharaoh said, "I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away: Entreat for me." ²⁹ And Moses said, "Behold, I go out from you, and I will entreat the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow: But let Pharaoh not deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD." ³⁰ And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and entreated the LORD.

⁴⁴ But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those that curse you, do good to those that hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you, and persecute you;

²⁸ bless those that curse you, and pray for those who despitefully use you.

¹⁸ But God led the people around, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: And the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

⁴ Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has cast into the sea: His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.

²⁰ But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill smell shall come up, because he has done great things.

²⁹ By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land: Which the Egyptians attempting to do were drowned.

¹² And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not hearken to them; as the LORD had spoken to Moses.

¹⁰ And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: And the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

³⁰ But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: For the LORD your God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as appears this day.

⁹ And He said, "Go, and tell this people, 'You indeed hear, but do not understand; and you see indeed, but do not perceive.' ¹⁰ Make the heart of this people dull, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed."

³⁹ Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again, ⁴⁰ "He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them."

¹⁸ Therefore He has mercy on whom He will have mercy, and whom He wills He hardens.

¹¹ And for this reason God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ¹² That they all might be damned who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

²² And the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch forth your hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt."

²⁹ And you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: And you shall be only oppressed and spoiled ever more, and no man shall save you.

⁶ Let their way be dark and slippery: And let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

⁴⁹ He cast upon them the fierceness of His anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

²⁸ He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they did not rebel against His word.

¹⁹ The way of the wicked is as darkness: They know not at what they stumble.

¹⁴ The wise man's eyes are in his head; but the fool walks in darkness: And I myself also perceived that one event happens to them all.

⁴ For he comes in with vanity, and departs in darkness, and his name shall be covered with darkness.

²¹ And they shall pass through it, severely distressed and hungry: And it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. ²² And they shall look to the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.

⁴⁵ Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.

³³ And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

⁴⁴ Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

¹⁷ These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever.

⁶ And the angels which did not keep their first estate, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

¹³ raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues out of pain, ¹¹ and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

²¹ And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

¹¹ And you came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire to the middle of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

²² These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly in the mount out of the middle of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: And he added no more. And he wrote them in two tablets of stone, and delivered them to me.

³¹ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes.

¹³ For lo, He that forms the mountains, and creates the wind, and declares to man what His thought is, that makes the morning darkness, and treads upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is His name.wind; or, spirit

¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues out of pain,

²² And in that day I will sever the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; with the intent you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.

⁴ And the LORD shall sever between the domestic beasts of Israel and the domestic beasts of Egypt: And there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.

²⁶ Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

²⁰ And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them behind, but it gave light by night to these in front: So that the one did not come near the other all through the night.

⁷ And when they cried out to the LORD, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen what I have done in Egypt: And you dwelled in the wilderness a long season.

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they did not know; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness become light before them, and crooked things straight. I will do these things to them, and not forsake them.

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen on you. ² For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: But the LORD shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen on you. ³ And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry: Behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty: Behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed: ¹⁴ Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.

¹⁸ Then you all shall return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that does not serve Him.

¹³ Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:

²³ Shall not their domestic beasts and their substance and every beast of their's be our's? Only let us consent to them, and they will dwell with us.

²⁸ And Pharaoh said, "I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away: Entreat for me."

⁸ And Moses and Aaron were brought back again to Pharaoh: And he said to them, "Go, serve the LORD your God: But who are those that shall go?" ⁹ And Moses said, "We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds we will go; for we must hold a feast to the LORD." ¹⁰ And he said to them, "Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: Look to it; for evil is before you.

¹ "And this is the thing that you shall do to them to hallow them, to minister to Me in the priest's office: Take one young bull, and two rams without blemish, ² and unleavened bread, and cakes unleavened tempered with oil, and wafers unleavened anointed with oil: You shall make them of wheat flour. ³ And you shall put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bull and the two rams. ⁴ And Aaron and his sons you shall bring to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall wash them with water. ⁵ And you shall take the garments, and put the coat upon Aaron, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod: ⁶ And you shall put the turban upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the turban. ⁷ Then you shall take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him. ⁸ And you shall bring his sons, and put coats upon them. ⁹ And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: And the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: And you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons. ¹⁰ And you shall cause a bull to be brought before the tabernacle of the congregation: And Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the bull. ¹¹ And you shall kill the bull before the LORD, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ¹² And you shall take of the blood of the bull, and put it upon the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar. ¹³ And you shall take all the fat that covers the inwards, and the lobe that is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and burn them upon the altar. ¹⁴ But the flesh of the bull, and his skin, and his dung, you shall burn with fire outside the camp: It is a sin offering. ¹⁵ You shall also take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram. ¹⁶ And you shall slay the ram, and you shall take his blood, and sprinkle it all around upon the altar. ¹⁷ And you shall cut the ram in pieces, and wash the inwards of him, and his legs, and put them together with his pieces, and together with his head. ¹⁸ And you shall burn the whole ram upon the altar: It is a burnt offering to the LORD: It is a sweet savor, an offering made by fire to the LORD. ¹⁹ And you shall take the other ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram. ²⁰ Then you shall kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar all around. ²¹ And you shall take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: And he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him. ²² Also you shall take the fat and the rump of the ram, and the fat that covers the inwards, and the lobe above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder; for it is a ram of consecration: ²³ And one loaf of bread, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer out of the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD: ²⁴ And you shall put all in the hands of Aaron, and in the hands of his sons; and shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD. ²⁵ And you shall receive them from their hands, and burn them upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savor before the LORD: It is an offering made by fire to the LORD. ²⁶ And you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration, and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD: And it shall be your part. ²⁷ And you shall sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the shoulder of the heave offering, which is waved, and which is heaved up, of the ram of the consecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his sons: ²⁸ And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute forever from the children of Israel: For it is a heave offering: And it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering to the LORD. ²⁹ And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons' after him, to be anointed in them, and to be consecrated in them. ³⁰ And he of his sons that is priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he comes into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place. ³¹ And you shall take the ram of the consecration, and boil his flesh in the holy place. ³² And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ³³ And they shall eat those things with which the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: But a stranger shall not eat of it, because they are holy. ³⁴ And if any of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the bread, remains until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire: It shall not be eaten, because it is holy. ³⁵ And thus shall you do to Aaron, and to his sons, according to all things which I have commanded you: You shall consecrate them seven days. ³⁶ And you shall offer a bull every day for a sin offering for atonement: And you shall cleanse the altar, when you have made an atonement for it, and you shall anoint it, to sanctify it. ³⁷ Seven days you shall make an atonement for the altar, and sanctify it; and it shall be a most holy altar: Whatever touches the altar shall be holy. ³⁸ Now this is that which you shall offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually. ³⁹ The one lamb you shall offer in the morning; ¹ "Then Bezaleel and Aholiab worked, and every wise-hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to perform all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded." ² And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work: ³ And they received all the offering from Moses, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it with. And even still they brought to him free offerings every morning. ⁴ And all the wise men, that performed all the work of the sanctuary, every man came straight from his work which he had made; ⁵ and they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make." ⁶ And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, "Let neither man nor woman make any more workmanship for the offering of the sanctuary." ²² And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.

⁹ And Aaron shall bring the goat on which the LORD's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.

³² Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, "and be gone; and bless me also."

¹⁸ And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: It shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for those who dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.

⁵ Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted to you, the forces of the Gentiles shall come to you. ⁶ The multitude of camels shall cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come: They shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the LORD. ⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you: They shall come up on My altar with acceptance, and I will glorify the house of My glory. ⁸ Who are these that fly like a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? ⁹ Surely the isles shall wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the LORD your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because He has glorified you. ¹⁰ "And the sons of strangers shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you: For in My wrath I smote you, but in My favor I have had mercy on you.

⁶ They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find Him; he has withdrawn Himself from them.

²⁰ In that day there shall be upon the bells of the horses, "HOLINESS TO THE LORD"; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

⁴⁴ Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common; ⁴⁵ and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them to all men, as every man had need.

⁵ And this they did, not just as we hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.

⁸ By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out into a place which he should afterwards receive as an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

¹ And the LORD said to Moses, "Go in to Pharaoh: For I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show My signs before him:

²⁰ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honored upon Pharaoh, and upon all his army; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD." And they did so.

⁸ And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: And the children of Israel went out with a high hand.

²⁰ And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues yet did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: Which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk:

¹⁰ Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.

¹⁶ And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said to him, "Are you made of the king's counsel? Forbear; why should you be smitten? Then the prophet declined, and said, "I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this, and have not listened to my counsel.

⁴ And Moses said, "Thus says the LORD, 'About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt: ⁵ And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. ⁶ And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such that there has been none like it, nor shall be like it any more. ⁷ But a dog shall not move his tongue against any of the children of Israel, against man or beast: That you may know that the LORD does put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel. ⁸ And all these, your servants, shall come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying, 'Get out, you and all the people that follow you': And after that I will go out." And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
