¹⁸ Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep.

¹⁹ And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass: ²⁰ And your strength shall be spent in vain: For your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

²⁶ And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: And you shall eat, and not be satisfied.

⁹ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them: For I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those that hate Me,

⁴ Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your domestic beasts, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep.

¹⁶ Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.

¹⁶ His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off. ¹⁷ His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. ¹⁸ He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. ¹⁹ He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

⁹ Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. ¹⁰ Let his children continually be vagabonds, and beg; let them also seek their bread out of their desolate places. ¹¹ Let the extortioner catch all that he has; and let the strangers spoil his labor. ¹² Let there be none to extend mercy to him: Neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children. ¹³ Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following, let their name be blotted out. ¹⁴ Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. ¹⁵ Let them be continually be before the LORD, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth

¹¹ My eyes fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured on the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city. ¹² They say to their mothers, "Where is grain and wine?" when they swoon as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom.

²⁰ Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom You have done this. Shall the women eat their offspring, and children a span long? Shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?

¹¹ As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception. ¹² Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: Yes, woe also to them when I depart from them! ¹³ Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: But Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer." ¹⁴ Give them, O LORD: What will you give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

¹⁷ Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

³ Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.

²⁹ For behold, the days are coming in which they shall say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the nipples which never nourished from the breast.' ³⁰ Then they shall begin to say to the mountains, "Fall on us"; and to the hills, "Cover us." '
