¹⁷ 'These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

¹⁴ From men which are Your hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure: They are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

³⁷ You, O king, are a king of kings: For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. ³⁸ And wherever the children of men dwell, He has given the wild beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all. You are this head of gold. ³⁹ And after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. ⁴⁰ And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: In as much as iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things: And as iron that breaks all these, it shall break in pieces and bruise.

³ And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse from one another. ⁴ The first was a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

¹⁹ And he said, "Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the last end time of the indignation: For at the time appointed the end shall be. ²⁰ The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. ²¹ And the rough goat is the king of Greece: And the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. ²² Now that being broken, when in fact four stood up in its place, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

³⁶ Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world: If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: But now My kingdom is not from here."

¹ Then I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

¹¹ Then I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
