¹⁷ and now I no longer do it, but the sin that dwells in me.

⁷ Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven and whose sins are covered; ⁸ blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not account sin.

¹⁸ For I know that in me, that is in my flesh, there dwells no good. For to wish is present with me, but to do the good is not;

⁵ Or do you suppose that the Scripture says in vain, The spirit which dwells in us desires to envy? ⁶ But he gives more grace; wherefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
