⁸ And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not fit that you should come under my roof; but only say the word and my servant will be cured.

¹¹ I indeed baptize you with water to a change of mind; but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not fit to bear; he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and fire;

¹⁴ But, he refused him, saying, I have need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?

³ And stretching out his hand, he touched him, saying, I will; be cleansed; and his leprosy was immediately cleansed.

²⁶ But he answered and said, It is not right to take the children's bread and cast to the dogs. ²⁷ But she said, Yes, Lord; for even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from the table of their masters.

²⁵ And Jesus rebuked him saying, Be still, and come out of him. ²⁶ And the impure spirit affecting him with convulsions, and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. ²⁷ And all were astonished, so that they inquired among themselves, saying, What is this? a new teaching with authority, and does he command the impure spirits and they obey him?

⁸ And Simon Peter seeing it fell on his knees to Jesus, saying, Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.

⁶ And Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying, Lord, trouble not yourself, for I am not fit that you should come under my roof. ⁷ Wherefore I did not think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant shall be cured;

¹⁹ I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired servants.

²¹ And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned to Heaven, and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.

²⁷ He is the one coming after me, the strings of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.
