¹³ Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelries and drinking, not in lewdness and excesses, not in strife and envy; ¹⁴ but put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for desires of the flesh.

²⁹ But this I say, brothers, the time is short, so that in future those who have wives should be as those not having them, ³⁰ and those who weep as those not weeping, and those who rejoice as those not rejoicing, and those who buy as not possessing, ³¹ and those who use the world as those not abusing it; for the fashion of this world passes away.
